I saw a show here some years ago and loved it!! I anxiously await COVID to end so I can feel comfortable returning to the audience of this wonderful theatre!

I had a wonderful experience at the Jubilee Theater. It was my first time. Given the size of the theater and the slope of the seating, theres isnt a bad seat in the house. The sound quality was a little off at times, but that did not take away from the show. Upon arrival, there was a pre show performance (which I was unaware of). Because you have to walk on stage to get to your seat, I felt a little awkward walking in front of a performer in character. The production itself was WONDERFUL. I highly recommend visiting this gem of Black theater. I will most certainly be returning for future shows.

I always enjoy my visits to the Jubilee but I must give my last visit 4 out of 5 stars due to the rude announcer experience in the lobby during intermission the Sunday before Christmas day week. I asked a simply question about future plays and received what I would describe as a truthful yet rude and short response. I wasnt expecting such a short and unfriendly remark but I hope she would decide to be more cordial and friendly next time. Especially if the person is asking about membership and showing interest. Maya Angelou was correct: People will forget what you say but they wont forget how youve made them feel. Manners Matter.

This is really a great place to watch a play or musical. I was highly impress with the customer service, play and ambiance. The theatre has a historic vibe and is smaller to ensure everyone can see the stage, so dont be upset if shows are sold out or seem cramped. I have seen quite a few shows here and I have 0 negative comments. I love, love Jubilee Theatre! I am a fan and great supporter of the many great shows they have. Very great actors and actress. I love the environment, cast, directors and the variety of shows they have there.

Had such an amazing time! Very intimate and small theater with an amazing history. I saw Single Black Female with my mom and we loved it. Very unique, interesting, and eye opening show. I cannot wait to come back for another show.

Very intimate theater experience. Seats are narrow. Staff is great! Just went this past weekend to see the at Sistas. Great actresses! The she experience was 5 Star! I will be going back.

Wonderful show late night.The cast was off the chain the band great, the sound and lighting tech was phenomenal. If you get a chance to go its worth the money a great place to enjoy and support the community 39 years African American art

What a great place to go. I was very impressed with the theater. Its very quaint and cozy. The cast of Bubbling Brown Sugar was excellent! I will definitely be going again.

Just not a good show. I have been there a number of times at seen excellent shows.

Wonderful stage and facility, but the parking situation is horrendous. If you use the Vallet, which is around $20, get there early so you can avoid the long line and large pile up of cars. I had to circle the block 3 times just to find a spot to wiggle into the line.

Enjoyed the play hadnt visited in awhile but definitely returning for some shows in 2020

The Jubilee Theatre is a Fort Worth treasure. We are season ticket holders and I have been attending their wonderful productions for 4 decades.

This setting of the place is soft and powerful. The play was really good. The valet parking is unbelievable and welcomed.

Theatre with black culture in mind. A wonderful company ran by amazing people.

Better experience than I had expected. The Cast is so talented. They made me feel as though they were talking just to me. And to pull you in with the emotions; made you feel exactly what theyre feeling.Great Job to a Great Cast!

I didnt care for the performance and left at intermission, but the space itself has a well-decorated lobby, clean, spacious bathrooms and a cozy house where it truly feels like there arent any bad seats.

Great place awesome

I have never been treated so disgracefully by an establishment in my life. I give my business to my people because I believe in supporting black arts and other ventures that uplift our community, but when I walked into the theater at 8:01 before the curtain rose due to an accident on the road, they would not allow me or my companion into the theater and forced us to watch the entire first half from a screen in the lobby, not to mention the staff talked quite loudly so there was no way to make out the play. Is this the way you treat those who contribute to your bottom line? It was absolutely disgraceful. I am not one to be late to engagements, least of all a night at the theater, but things happen and their accommodation of that fact was nil. Since I was forced to miss half of the show, do I get half of my money back? Shameful. And dont give me that, respect for the actors line. When youre an actor worth your salt, a person walking to their seat, which often happens in a theater, is not going to affect grueling hours of rehearsals and the thrill of the night. So, needless to say, I will NEVER pay another dime to the Jubilee. Jubilance is the last thing Im feeling right now.

The performances are World Class - without a doubt you will leave the Theater with a song in your heart. The only reason for the 4 - Star is during the Christmas performance one of the ADULT members of the Audience was very disruptive....legs over the seat in front; e-cigarette, frequently changing seats, using flashlight on phone to dig into purse. Distracted from a truly WONDERFUL performance.

Wonderful variety of shows, even if I see something that I am not especially interested in topic wise the shows never disappoint. They are well written, well played and this is a great way to support local Black artists and art.

We have been to almost every performance at the Jubilee Theater for the past two years. All performances are quality, even superior to other theaters in the area. We urge everyone to get season tickets. You wont be disappointed.

Ive walked by for years, until last November when on a whim I ducked in to check out the show. They have a world class theater troop with harmonizing that you just have to hear to believe. Im a snob when it comes to live theater. Ive been a regular at the Bass Hall for over a decade now, and believe me they are better than some of the troops I seen go through over the years. Best of all, the tickets are a steal.

I have patroned Broadway and off broad shows in Manhattan NY ,and with that said , My bestie and my self her Mom , whom are Ft . Worth natives of American Mexican and creole descent ,aswell as my self whom is of American Black velvet really enjoyed our date at the Jubilee Theatre and did i fail to mention the show was fantastic!!!

Amazing! This is a quaint theatre and the performance I went to was very enjoyable. The only thing about the location is being able to drive up to the theatre for valet parking is not easy to get to. So just park and walk over.

We drive over an hour to see my mothers mothers debut play here. My grandmother purchased 6 tickets and they mixed the tines up. The door lady stated no refund and our seats were given up. They did not try to accomdate us after we pre- purchased tickets. We will not be back

Unfortunately, this was one of the worse experiences my family and I have encountered at any theater. We were so looking forward to an evening of Motown Christmas music. After being stuck in traffic, going to a nearby lot that was full, and waiting in the valet line (note: my vehicle was taken to park). We were informed by waiting couples, we would be denied entrance. I knocked on the locked door, a lady sitting inside chose to ignore the knocking. It was suggested by a valet parking attendant, police officer, and other couples to complain to management. I along with the other couples choose to not patronize the theater in the future. If I were able to give No Stars I would.

Wonderful and historic place for family and friends!

A friend and I saw The Brothers Size this afternoon, and were absolutely riveted by the play. The performances by these extremely talented young men were as good as I have ever seen anywhere. Some rough language, but perfectly believable within the context it was presented. Everything rang true. It is a play that you cannot walk away from without taking some of it with you. Kudos to all of you!

Awesome theatre!

Four of us had the privilege of experiencing a marvelous history lesson filled with honesty, humor, intelligence, dignity and inspiration. Our U.S. Constitution is a sacred document that needs to be implemented in every decade. The respect for the rule of law was magnificent. Selmore Haines, III, became Thurgood and did it flawlessly. Treat yourself and your high school children! It ends Sunday the 26th.
