Cool place in an even cooler area. There are a ton of bars and restaurants in the area if you dont feel like eating at the theater. There are a lot of food options and the prices on drinks / food arent terrible for what they could be for a movie theater these days.This is definitely more of an experience and less of just seeing a movie in case you were just in the area looking for a movie to catch. You dont have to order anything but probably would get most out of your experience if you did.

My go to spot for a movie night. I love the location. I love the views of Crockett Row. And the parking garage if free, if you remember to get your ticket validated. Park on the 4th level, and theres door that leads directly to Movie Tavern. Seating is wide and comfy. Theres also a decent bar with a hug screen, showing sports or what not. Place losses points on sub par food. But what can you expect for a movie theater. Eat before or after.

This place was great. Our (server?) Chris did an amazing job with helping us select items from the menu, and happily returned an item that we werent able to eat. We went to a late feature during the middle of the week and had the room to ourselves which was nice since we had 3 young kids. Also they are doing some remodeling, and looks like the new foyer section will be really nice. Would definitely return!

I love this movie theater. The chairs are comfy, service at your chair and tons of drinks to choose from. I had the wings and fries today and they were pretty good. This has become my go to movie theater!

Great theater overall. Saw Ad Astra last night and during the most pivotal scene, one of the staff members began loudly asking people you done? and not-subtly taking their plates and stacking them. I normally dont complain, but come on, can you not do that during the credits? Besides that, the food and staff are great!

Very nice, clean theater. Somewhat odd that you have to immediately go up 4 escalators to get to the lobby but different for sure. Staff is very friendly, food is good and service was excellent. Quickly becoming part of our Sunday plans every week.

Awesome movie spot off West 7th. Good movie prices, especially on Tuesday’s. Food is a bit pricey but it’s all good drinks and food. Can’t say much more, just a movie theater.

Its nice, clean, and youve got reclining seats. You dont have to worry about being too close up or too far back bc every seat has a good perspective and the staff are very kind and helpful.But heres the thing: since food can be ordered and served in the theater, it isnt the quietest or without distraction. Its more like having a movie night with friends, especially if you go to see a rambunctious movie.So come to enjoy with others and you wont be let down. Quieter options at this tavern are matinee or before 6 pm shows and calmer movie selections.

Weather if you want to go and watch a movie, or just hang out at the bar with your friends, this is a place to enjoy yourself and just be you. More than likely Ill be back.

Best place to watch a movie,eat some good food,pop corn and cocktails. Beautiful location an a good view. Like the location and seats were comfy. I noticed even though seats are reserved , people still sit where they want to. Thats what happened to me and my brother and so I asked a server if I could change my seat selection. The reason being it was an entire group that took up a line of seats and I didnt want a confrontation. But sound and picture quality is very good here.

One of the best theaters in Fort Worth. The seats are comfortable Its always clean. The food is good (too expensive, but its a theater). Its got a 3-story escalator that the kids love. Every employee seems to enjoy working there. I always have fun when I go.

Overall experience was pretty solid. Location is generally clean and nice, staff were friendly and came quickly, and the theatre was comfortable. Only complaint is that the slope of the theatre was gentle so unless everyone fully reclined, the view is up for grabs. In my case the gentleman in front of me chose not to recline and his head had a feature role in the film. Additionally, there was periodic loud booming that made the seat shake, unrelated to our movie. My guess was another theatres sound was overflowing, but it also couldve been construction so Ill give them the benefit of the doubt on that one. Good experience overall, I will come back.

Matinee movie still received stellar service. Renovations going on but didnt disturb movie and blocked off well. Free appetizer online Mozzarella sticks were fresh and hot

I really like this Movie Tavern. The staff is polite and the food is good. There are some decently healthy choices.Tickets are easy to buy online. Parking is fairly painless, just make sure to get your parking ticket validated at the ticket booth or it will cost you $25.

I love theaters with reclining seats and concession service at your seat. The prices were fair. The staff, although nice for the most part, werent very efficient. Also, the seats are situated so that the persons head in front of me cut off the bottom of the screen when I reclined my seat and he didnt recline his. Overall, I would recommend this theater and I would go back. Great location too. Near a ton of fun!

Loved it! Only visit here when in Fort Worth, so my first visit was a pleasant surprise. Later visits were just as enjoyable. Comfortable seats, fast courteous service and good! food.

Theres a lot to love about this Movie Tavern location once youre inside and seated, but its like a hobbit quest to Middle Earth trying to get there. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DONT LOSE YOUR PARKING GARAGE TICKET.

First time visiting this location. We had a great time laughing at the movie. The complementary small popcorn was a nice treat. If you dont like escalators then look for the elevator on the left. Parking is free at all the garages when you get the validation sticker from the movie. Dont pay to park like we did. Enjoy!

Went here for a date night with my boyfriend, we had a good time the movie theater is so modern and so nice! The ticket prices were kind of expensive (went on a Sunday) the food was ok, not that great. Otherwise I had a good time and will go back.

This is my favorite theater for movies in town. The service is great, food is good, and the drinks are tasty. The seats are comfy, auto recline, and have leg rests. Parking is very easy. Use the garage connected to the theater. Enter off Crockett St. and park on the third level. It is always empty and there is a door right into the theater

Good experience & good times @ the Tavern on 7th. Wife & daughter & I went to a 4pm show on a Saturday. Not real busy. Nice assigned seating with leather single chair recliners. Had a Bud Light draw & a cocktail for about $18.

I had an awesome experience watching the new Spider-Man movie. This place is awesome and I recommend it for watching movies.

Movie Taverns premise is instinctually appealing. The idea of getting food and drink beyond the usual movie theater fare is tempting, but I dislike how it interferes with the movie experience. Dim lighting remains for staff to walk and serve. Seats arent as comfortable as other locations where you have recliners. The screens arent as large. Wider aisles create more visual space between you and the screen. It all works to take me out of the movie at times. Its easier to lose engagement. My final verdict comes down to how you like to experience the movie theater. For me, this isnt what I like. I want full immersion in the film. And thats just hard to achieve at a Movie Theater.

Very clean and chairs are comfy. Sometimes chairs are a bit early though. New menu is pretty good but I miss the Cuban dip sandwich! Staff is pretty friendly but sometime you will get an exceptional staff member. Sound quality is always crisp but Im no audiophile. The bright exit signs can be a bit annoying.

Overall good experience. Food was good. The server never brought us our drinks. I pushed the call button and waited over 5 minutes and no one came. Bad service.

They were awful! They told me they validated my parking ticket and apparently failed to do so. So I paid 20 for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. They charged for popcorn on Tuesday because they “didn’t know we were members” when we had given them the card number and told them we were. They were absolutely ridiculous.

Food was meh. Really disappointing, but the venue was clean and people were helpful & nice. Also, they dont freeze you out in the theater like most!

If you want an upscale movie setting this is the place. The food portions are big and so is the price. Small theaters so pre-buy your tickets on opening weekend movies. Reclining seats for an at home experience.

Went here the other day to watch avengers infinity war. Food was decent, and the seats were comfy. Our server was terrible though! Wife had to call him twice just to get her drink after waiting for 30+ minutes. Definitely came across very disinterested in his position. My review would be higher had it not been for the overall poor service.

First time going since the new company took control. Still a good experience but everything and I do mean everything had increased in price. I guess this is to compensate for 5 dollar Tuesdays.

We really like the movie tavern concept.the food and drinks are good, and the specialty drinks are actually specialty drinks, not just the same old same old. The chairs are bit odd, elevating your feet then reclines the chair, so your feet are a bit high if you want to lean back. The staff is very friendly, my parking stub fell out of my pocket, and they let me back in the theater to find it. A step above regular theaters.

Worst experience ever at this location! We had been having trouble with our card that day and proactively asked the waiter to please check if our card was working with their system to avoid any issues. He had confidently swiped it and told us yes that it was working fine. Since we are customers, and not employees, we took his word for how their system worked and proceeded to order. Halfway through the movie we were told that our card was declined. We had asked to speak to a manager and explained to him the situation in which they insisted we were still in the wrong because that is not how their system works and you cant charge a card until the food arrives which is completely fine if the employee would have told us that their system did not work that way before we ordered the situation would have been avoided completely because we would not have ordered otherwise. But I do not understand how they expected us, as customers, to know how their system worked especially when we had been instructed by our waiter that it would be fine. They would not even admit fault on the waiters part even though he had told us inaccurate information. We are willing to admit that the card declining was our fault and were trying to fix it but they were not willing to admit that their employee was at fault for misinforming us. It eventually escalated into a verbal argument that ended with the manager kicking us out of the theatre without refunding our tickets despite getting through less than half of the movie. I believe they were rude to us because they assumed we were trying to walk out on our bill or argue our way into a comped meal, which we were not. The entire time my boyfriend was talking to the manager I was on the phone with my bank to see what the problem was and there was just a temporary block on the card (because it was a new card) and the manager did not let us complete the call/resolve the issue/explain ourselves clearly before he kicked us out. After he had kicked us out the bank released my hold and I was able to pay them for our food which might have been done sooner if they werent so accusatory. The employees definitely need more training and the manager should be trained on resolving issues better without making customers feel unwelcome or attacked.

It’s good here and they have a nice selection of drinks and the chairs are comfy. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because they did away with the old menu and some of the foods I used to get are now gone. The “mini-me” burgers were the best but now it’s a more expensive “game day platter” so it has the mini burgers but includes all these other things you don’t want.

Went to see a movie, and there were no ushers to direct guests. I never had to verify I bought my ticket, and I ended up seating myself. Not sure if it was just an off-day, or if this is how the facility normally functions.

We went to this Movie Tavern for trivia night on Wednesday. The trivia was really good, the announcer was pleasant and fun, and the prices are really good! The food is fairly expensive, the drinks are pricey as well.

Today was the second time Ive had issues with this Movie Tavern 2 times. The first time was properly resolved so I will not go into details over that, but this time I got wings and they were cold on the inside. They remade the wings then on the check double charged me for wings then comped one of them. What was the point of a comp if you were just going to double charge me?

Pretty good food. Good service and strong drinks. I only wish they had more movies to choose from.
