We are highly disappointed in the customer service we received tonight.... We had been promised a bigger screen with better seating. ( that didnt happen!) We order drinks and I politely ask to have light ice and the bartender got upset dumped my ice back into the clean ice only to demand I get more ice. I explained my condition she smirked and continued to tell me without ice she would have to make half the drink. I paid for a 16 oz glass and received 6oz drink. AS I WATCHED HER POUR MY DRINK I SEE THAT SHE DIDNT USE THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF EACH LIQUOR. SHE BARLEY POURED ANYTHING. FILLED THE GLASS WITH JUICE AND PUSHED IT MY WAY. SHE ALSO MADE A SMART REMARK ABOUT MY CHANGE. ASKING IF I NEEDED MY 2 PENNIES. I STILL THANKED HER FOR HER SERVICE AFTER THE NASTY BEHAVIOR. I HAVE NEVER FELT SO DISRESPECTED IN MY LIFE. (SHE DIDNT EVEN WASH HER HANDS BETWEEN CUSTOMER. I HAD HIGH EXPECTATIONS FOR THIS LOCATION. UGH!

Disney series was wonderful! Peter Pan with my son on big screen one weekend and The Little Mermaid the following week with my best friend and her granddaughter. If you want to catch a new movie, Tuesdays are family nights - $6 admission with an individual complimentary popcorn. Get seats in advance online and sign up for the rewards program. It pays off fast! Our tickets for Peter Pan were just $8 for both of us!

Very clean theater, staff is on the ball and quick to serve you. Movie Tavern food is always good at any location. Enjoyed my movie experience! They had a lot of info flyers out front about various MT programs, discounts, and upcoming events. That was useful.

Maybe because of the date I was with I cant do a 5-star rating because it wasnt all that great. But I think it was due to the date and not the tavern. When I walked in everything was bright and happy and fun and lit up. It was clean. Everybody was very friendly. I dont remember much of the movie because the date I was with would not shut up. Needless to say we didnt stay very long after that. And it wasnt because he talks to a movie. That was only one of the small many, many irritating things this man did. I will definitely have to give it a try with a friend or two sometime. I think I would be a lot more open to a 5-star rating if I could enjoy myself there. But my Dayton let me do that. But Im still going to get the four star rating for what I remember. Excluding the date of course.

The layout of the theaters arent designed to allow the wait staff to avoid being in front of the screen easily. This wouldnt be so bad if they were attempting to stay out of the customers view, but they dont even try to be unobtrusive. The staff stands in the way and speaks loudly enough for everyone in the theater to hear them.

I give this place a five star because this is my go to for new movies I take my brother out and we have had great experiences every single time the staff is great food is delicious and the chairs are so comfortable I have fallen asleep through a few movies! So if you love watching your movies comfortably and eating a nice meal while doing so this is a great spot to go.

Love this experience so much that I drive over from Weatherford to watch movies here!!We have a dine-in theater down the road from my house, but it doesnt hold a candle to Movie Tavern!First, the food is great! Its not good enough for a theater, its actually really good.Next, the servers are really good. They are prompt, friendly, and respectful of your movie experience.Finally, the theater is soooooo comfortable and so clean!!

Great idea and cool seating brought down by poor customer service. The girl waiting on us acted like we were wasting her time. The woman who sold us the tickets was more helpful, but the attitude of the server brought down the experience. Seats were nice and a decent menu, but they had no cold drinks.

Movie Theater that has good selections of movies and serves Adult beverages as well as soft drinks and food items. Very comfortable seating. This is my go to place to go to the movies. Love the atmosphere and their staff is friendly and professional.

My wife and I have gone for the past several Tuesdays because you cant beat $5 movie tickets and free popcorn (rewards member). The staff is friendly, and the app is easy to use to purchase tickets and select seats ahead of time. Its been a fun way to spend some time together.

Took my son to see Sonic - he loved the movie! We always have a good experience at this Movie Tavern. The friendly, helpful staff & cleanliness are a plus!

The staff at concessions are super slow. We had to wait for all the premier customers to get taken care of which I understand that they pay aid for that service but I had to wait in line over 25 minutes which caused me to miss the beginning of the movie! This is just not acceptable

All the cost of the Alamo Drafthouse with none of the quality.First self-service kiosk didnt accept payment, was told after that they knew it was broken they just didnt do anything about it. Second kiosk did take our money but just didnt give us any tickets.The staff seemed unhappy and downtrodden and tried their best to help but they just looked worn out.On top of that the quality of the screen in our theater was terrible, with what looked like cleaning stains across the screen and one long seam that ran down 3/4 of the screen. The stains were very distracting during bright scenes.On a positive note, the seats were very comfortable. Might have to see if I can get one of those for the house.

First visit I didnt get my popcorn until almost the end of the movie. Second time the popcorn was too salty. The picture and sound were great!!

Comfortable chairs, a good waiter, it was a good overall experience. The food, though a bit overpriced, was good. I got the club rollup, like a sandwich, rolled up, and fries. It was good, the avocado in the sandwich was good. The volume of the movie is too high.

This theater has me going to the movies! The Tuesday special, empowers me to take my nieces, by baby brother and my best friend to have a memorable bonding place. I really like this place!

My 1st here in a long time. My waiter was so slow. I dont know if they are under staffed. The refill for a large popcorn is now a dollar. It use tobe free. New management I guess. The seats are comfortable still.

Ill admit, my expectations were not high for this place. Its an older building and all that. But the food was good and the seats were comfortable. I have no real complaints. Id go to this location again without hesitation.

I love the upgrades, the seats a way more comfortable. The food improved as well but Id still like to see a better selection. Ill definitely be going back.

I didnt expect my first movie tavern experience to be so lively. Well, we tried to view overcomers (couldnt due to technical difficulties). We were well compensated (I didnt see that coming). Even with the compensation we chose another movie (with the assistance or our wonderful hostess). The meal was wonderful and if I could, I would give this tavern an A++++++++++++++. For handling the situation so smoothly. That was teamwork!!!!

I will not be returning to this establishment! I was told that my purse was too large to enter into the (Hulen)Movies Tavern, based on the new policy!However, when I sat down their were 3 women who had even larger purses than mine and they were not told to leave their purses in the car.As I was leaving out I notice their women with backpacks, and even larger purses than mine walking into the movie theater. I ask the ticket guy why were they not stop and he informed me that the manager gets to enforce the rules!Im all for following the rules, however the ticket guy nor the manager does not have the right to pick and choose who follows the policy!ENFORCE THE POLICY TO EVERYONE!!

I love the idea of Movie Tavern (Studio Movie Grill, Alamo Drafthouse), but their food always leaves something to be desired.

Great place to watch a movie, especially with the super comfortable chairs and they have one theater with a huge screen and upgraded sound. My waitress was pretty bad but Im going to assume thats not normal.

I would like to see the menu have options for those who cant eat so much. Offer the burger or sandwich only without the side. For the tacos, offer a choice of 2 tacos or 3 tacos.

The actual theater, seats, movie screen and servers were top notch! Such a great experience for our daughters first time at the movies. Im only giving 4 stars because the food didnt really WOW us like we thought it would. We would definitely still go back for though!

The food is worse every time I eat here. I get the Red pepper hummus and veggies usually. The veggies are stale and cucumbers so floppy I couldn’t use them in the dip. Red bell peppers were not crisp like they would be if they were fresh, very soft and unappetizing.

Could not be seated until literally 5 min before the movie started due to staff having to clean up... The food and service wasnt bad

Never have I ever been in a theater like this. Reclining seats, complimentary popcorn, complimentary water, you can order off the menu and dine while movie watching. If you go on Tuesdays you only have to pay $5. Cant beat that!

This place is awesome. We enjoyed our time here. Most of all or waiter name was Larry. He was very respectful and made us feel welcome. His manners were excellent. Having people like him around makes us want to come back. Thank you for being so polite and respectful Larry. He deserves a raise.

Movie tavern has changed over the years and is still a great place to watch movies and enjoy food and drink. However, this last time I went, I felt like there was an overabundance of waiters in the way of the movie as well as talking. I watched John Wick 3 and the movie had a lot of subtitles for translating the languages so when someone was ordering in the isle in front of me or someone delivering food to myself or people next to me, it was a distraction causing me to miss what was said. I hope in the future, it can be a better experience bc I do enjoy the assigned seating, reclining chairs, food and drink order abilities etc

This was my first time visiting Movie Tavern to enjoy a movie. I was an AMC moviegoer, but the service here was great!! Food is quite pricey, but the staff greeted us everywhere we go, drinks were served fast. When we left the movie, employees made sure we had a great experience. Seats are very comfortable, and a lot of space for servers to go around. If you want a great experience, Hulen theatre is great, just have some $$$ budgeted if you want to eat in.

Great movie prices. We had the wings, chile cheese fries and popcorn....all Excellant. A little pricey but ok for a night out.

New seats, new screens. It’s awesome! Used to be the place to avoid but now it’s definitely the way to watch movies. They have reclining sofas on the front row of some theaters. Nice place for a date.

They show anime movies and its the closest place to me that does. So its hype

Recently (within the last few years) this place was renovated. They now have comfy reclining chairs, tiered seating that precludes some tall guy blocking your view, and a slimmer but better menu. The movies are crisp and clean and the sound is immersive. Also, they do breakfast and a movie where the show some classic movies or kids oriented movies. Overall, its a good time for a fairly decent price.

Went to see frozen 2 movie was amazing but service was bad. took about half the movie before getting our small popcorn and it wasnt even fresh popcorn. order nachos as well and chicken was awful. COLD chicken on nachos is not good.

I saw a mouse!! This theater is so incredibly disgusting. It has been going downhill for years but recently visited and there was a mouse running around the theater like Speedy Gonzales! Told one of the waiters and no one came back to address the issue. Saw the mouse again, it ran under my chair, so we left and spoke directly to the manager. Also the bathrooms are disgusting with no soap, and waiters are sloppy.

I like the dinner and a movie concept but this visit was just okay. The movie was good but the dinner left something to be desired. It was cold in arrival and extremely salty. With a higher than average price tag I expected better .

I liked movie tavern when it first started out at the Arlington location. The prices used to be good. I ordered a water and a drink. My drink came but the water took 30 minutes into the movie. The water was for my better half. She wanted some preztle bites, they were $10 ,they came pretty fast, but there were barely any in the basket. It was NOT any where near $10 worth. They were the size of doughnut holes, and only 8 of them in there. I could tell she wasnt happy. So I ordered nachos for the same price and there was much more food for the same price. And waters kept coming even though I didnt ask for them. So 2 drinks, 2 appetizers. $50. The seats are priced on what theater you are in. The showing I picked was in a bigger sized theater , so it cost $25 for 2 tickets instead of $18. We were already there and paid for the tickets online when I caught the difference. In total after everything it came out to around $80 after tickets convenience fee for ordering online , mind you from their website, very little food 2 drinks. Its not worth the money anymore... I used to like going. Now I dont. In fact,it used to be the only place I would see a movie in theaters. The only thing is the seats are nice , and the staff does try. But not worth that kind of money AT ALL

Paid for ranch asked for it three separate times including when I first paid my order asked for no ice in drink.rest room had no toilet paper in multiple stalls. Told three young workers there was no toilet paper they said ck other stalls. Manager sat outside rr for close to an hour before this incident

One star for the comfortable seats. The food was bad, the popcorn was cold and the drinks tasted watered down. The place smells funny and the server was ok but the ones that actually deliver the food were rude. I dont see me ever visiting this place again.Side note- if you dont like that oily mess(butter) added to your popcorn let them know ahead of time. They automatically charge you a dollar for it without asking if u want it or not.

Ill give this theater 3 stars. The reason why because when customers put their light on it takes forever to get service or they never come at all. Marcus needs to work on his people with customer service. Not a good look when your a member and you receive bad service. Kind of make u want to go to a different theater.

I love this movie theatre! Always clean and polite! I always get treated like people are thoroughly happy to have my patronage and the staff always looks like they are enjoying themselves as well. The few times I have ordered things from the menu they were brought quickly and timely and were decently satisfying. I highly recommend this place for family outings. On top of everything, they do military and veteran discounts!

Sat down and was asked what I wanted to fill my tanker with. I said Revolver Blood & Honey. Was told they no longer sell it. I asked for Blue Moon instead. Went to the main bar and was told they had Revolver. Sarah the manager fixed everything. At the end of the movie I saw people had a special poster for the movie I saw... come to find out they were all gone. I asked if they could reach out to West 7th as I would drive to that location for the poster. Sarah searches high and low and found me a poster and in fact gave me two! She did everything she could to make it right and this is why they get 5 starts

Alexa was absolutely amazing! She took really good care of me and my family and got our order out fast and hot! However, I don’t appreciate overhearing one of the staff members yelling at her and calling her a “hoe” I especially didn’t want my children to hear that.

Just okey because their prices are way too over priced. Entertainment shouldnt be that expensive.$13.57 is not very affordable for most people.

My server was great but the place is soon going to loose it’s clientele, wings $17, (they are just wings) that’s double the price for 6 wings additional fee for ranch, popcorn ok we always pay the price but additional fee for butter ?? Icees yeah I pay the price for it, iced tee $5 dollar??? What does it have in it that cost that much $3 dollar. understandable but getting ridiculously high! Last time coming here, unfortunately we loved this place but the food isn’t all that good for that exaggerated price! Going to a regular theater with regular fees which by the way are high enough already

Not impressed by the new ownership. Tonight, one of the servers kept talking to customers with nearly a full voice, she wasnt even trying to be courteous. When taking an order, sure would stand directly in front of the person blocking their view of the movie. It was nearly 20 minutes into the movie before our popcorn was delivered and we were charged for two drinks, even though my wife had water. The only good thing about the experience was the movie and the fact it was a $5 Tuesday. The movie tavern near 7th Street is much better.

I expect higher prices at a movie theater for food, so $12.50 for a so-so burger and fries wasnt out of line. But $4 for a tablespoon of mayonnaise to go on that burger is price gouging. Plus the place smelled bad, not clean. Will not be returning.

The food is very good, if a bit pricey. I go there to watch RiffTrax Live! events, and it seems like there is always some kind of sound or video issue, and I mean EVERY time there is an issue. If it werent for that, theyd be 4.5 stars rated by me.

Movies are great to watch here. It is clean and the seats are comfortable. Food is not what it used to be. Its like they are trying to make the food too high brow but that is not their target consumer. The service is hit and miss. Sometimes you get a good server, sometimes you should have ordered at the bar before going in.
