A phenomenal way to experience the true natural beauty of the Southern Florida experience! In an amazing 9 mile round trip to the Bay. We saw a Bald eagle, a six foot alligator, a four foot sand shark, a manette, an amazing assortment of tropical birds, huge crabs, and some of the most beautiful foliage including an array of palm tree groves that you can only find in Florida. More than worth the price of renting two kayaks.

The weather is great and there is a good amount of places to explore. The only drawback I experienced was the water. I visited at the end of July and the water was brown with about 8 inches of visibility. Other than that in the shallow water you could see starfish and other aquatic life just watch out for stingrays

Wow! Love this place! We have done several dolphin cruises and they are always a blast. The captain and naturalist do a great job pointing out birds, trees, and other wildlife we encountered. Most times we had dolphins play in the wake of the boat! My family would highly reccomend this adventure!!

The depth of richness in my own back yard never ceases to inspire and captivate me. When you take the time to learn about the history of the area, combined with the Flora and fauna; a truly magical experience emerges to be discovered.

Beautiful Florida outdoors.theyre getting ready to do some dredging of the passes through here which is super awesome as well. You have to be careful right now because its rather shallow in a lot of areas even in the passes. Theres lots of manatees to so you have to use caution in a boat.

We have always enjoyed visiting south Florida. We do so to spend as much time as possible on the water. Estero Bay has and will always be one of our favorite spots for boating as well as fishing. It is amazing the amount of wildlife that can be viewed in their natural habitat, both in the water as well as in the air. The preserve truly serves an important role in the area and is a great location for family adventures.

We had a blast on our kayak tour! We learned alot about the wildlife of Estero Bay but the highlight by far was getting up close and personal with a baby manatee! Im confident that no where else can you get this close to an endangered species without a pane of glass separating you at a zoo.

Looks like a burn was administered here. Destroyed a lot of the plant life and thus limits the wildlife. However, the openness is very unique and quite majestic. And to be in the middle of nothing and stumble upon the hidden bay was real nice and unexpected.

Paddled out to EBAP from Koreshan State Historic Site for a lovely trip down the Estero River. Even with a slight breeze, it was a good trip and not overly strenuous. Well marked trail. It was a holiday weekend and there were several larger motorized boats passing... Most were polite, but a few rude ones disobeying the no wake zone signs. Even so, it was a very pleasant paddle. I do wish wed have had more time in the bay itself, but maybe next time. Looks like lots of fun places to explore.

The Estero Bay Aquatic Preserve became Florida;s first aquatic preserve in 1966!! WOW!!! With that in mind, when out on the Estero Bay, you certainly get a sense for the beauty that local residents fought to protect over 50 years ago. A resident population of Bottlenose Dolphins live here - about 60 in total. 32 Rookeries are found within Estero Bay as well. And for those anthro/archaeo nerds out there, the long-gone Calusa capital at Mound Key, rises 32 feet above the shallow waters. Just an impressive coastal estuary if you ask me!

Flies. Lots of biting flies, but Im not giving nature a bad review and dont agree with pesticides where nature resides. This place is clean and is a nice little adventure, not far from everything. You could manage to keep yourself busy. Wear sunblock, theres little to no shade. Also beware of mud.

This area of maritime wildlife and nature is very important for all the people that work in the tourism oriented busines. They do a good work of trying to preserve and save It for next coming generations. The nature in this area are very important to preserve and protect. Its been a pleasure to be able to come to this areas for recreation. Its only good memories from this visit. The only bad thing is the red tide this vere a not so nice experience when it happened dead fish and really nasty gas from the boat engine Sterling up water and hazard gass from seawater.

Enjoyed participated in a wading trip through the estuary last Jan. 28. We discovered this gorgeous protected area on that refreshing day journey into the the waters of the bay, wading into mudflats and seagrass beds at low tide to find many of the plants and animals that call this estuary home. Cant wait to come again.*****
