This is a beautiful old Church that is also a historic landmark. It is open only for weddings and funerals these days from what we have heard. We were there for one of our nieces weddings and some years back was also our home parish. Since then a big modern church has been built elsewhere in town. We prefer this one, right down to the gargoyles on the roof. Worship of God comes easy in a wonderful place like this.
What a beautiful church. We were blessed to have our sons wedding in this church a couple of weeks ago. This historic building and all its architecture designs are simply amazing and to think there were no power tools and had to be crafted by hand and simple tools of the 1800 s. If you havent been there, I would highly recommend putting it on your bucket list. I understand they are raising money to restore the building as it showing signs of sever aging. A project worthy of investment!
Very polite n helpful..
I grew up in this church, was an altar boy. My entire family went there participating and getting married as well as funerals. This church.. community and diocese holds Flagstaff together. I close my eyes and feel closer to my past loved ones.
Im not religious by any means but you still have to see this place to believe its real. The architecture was unreal and you could see its long history in all the paintings and statues. The stained glass pannels are incredible works of art themselves
Beautiful building, never been to service here though.
Beautiful church, weathered and showing signs of repair, easy to find. Church was closed so inside was not accessible.
Great Narcotics Anonymous meeting without Ira enhorn the king of flagstagf NA meeting and the Peaks Recovery home group.
Little by little, Im making it count - everything is-GOD BLESS ALL
They totally let this place fall apart, who picked out the pink trim paint? Shame on the Catholic church for letting this place fall apart (Im Catholic too). Where did the upkeep money$$ go???
+JMJ...Giving this Church a 5 star rating, even though when I visited the Church was locked, because of its historical significance and because of the ancient style architecture. The gargoyles (now in a pitiable state of decaying) are comparable to those I have seen during visits to Italy. I met a woman a few years ago who mentioned that she and her mother were hopeful to encourage the diocese to restore this historical Church treasure to its former beauty as a house of worship and prayer. One day Ill return to Flagstaff and hope to be able to visit the interior.
Gr8 recovery meetings held there
Beautiful church. A must see for visitors.
Beautiful and peaceful.
This church is permanently closed down. Only open for local funerals or weddings. There is NO regular Holy Masses here, nor is there any persons available to open it for tours. You can attend Holy Mass at the not-far-away St Francis of Asissi Catholic church.
Some very unique architecture in and out.
Would be nice to go inside.
