Fun and easy hiking trail. There is a smaller paved trail, but the main trail is 1 1/2 miles long. Interpretive signs along the way explain about the area. Beautiful scenery and views. Toilets available.

The trail has two options. One is short. The other longer. No hills. Beautiful scenery. Peaceful experience.

Very quiet and peaceful. The trail was wide and level and the signs gave interesting information. Not much wildlife to watch, though, except a few chipmunks and birds. Perhaps a morning visit would have better viewing.

Great place to take a long walk on a hot day. There are paths to follow, but they are dirt and hay. However, the breeze is great

I love this trail. The signs, accessability, and remoteness is highly enjoyed. Theres one loop that is paved/shorter and another that continues back into the forest and through a small aspen grove.

Following the recommendation from the review here, we went to play snow at this park. Its a nice place and fewer people. The snow is fresh and clean for building snow man or snow fight. However, there is only a small slope, no good for sledding. If you want to sled on the snow, check the entrances to Fire Rd 151& 794.Just drive a little further away from Flagstaff for a better place.

Nice roadside park outside Flagstaff. Great views, with a couple interpretive hiking trails offering a nice place to stop and stretch your legs or use the bathroom (pit toilets on site) on the way to the Grand Canyon. Plenty of parking.

Cute little trail. Still lots of snow and ice this time of year. Saw lots of animal prints! Did this since the lava tubes were closed off. We enjoyed the short walk.

Didn’t see any wildlife but it was cold and windy on a Late November day. Might be better at other times of year and might be a good place to take the kids. Great stop in the middle of the drive from Flagstaff to Grand Canyon as there are bathrooms here.

Went up to Flagstaff to play in the snow with kids. Found most places too full to park, but when we got to this area, plenty of parking, restrooms, and a great place to bring kids to play in the snow. Also found several small hills to sled down. Made a snowman in fresh snow, and found this is a very safe place. People visiting for the day were grilling food on portable grills. I wish I did that, we got hungry and had to leave to go eat after 4 hours of having fun. Favorite place so far.

Went up to go sledding and after 2 failed locations, theyre in my other reviews, I came upon this wonderful place. It had small slopes unless youre willing to walk a mile or 2 through 2 feet of snow to get to the hill across the field. I would recommend doing so if you can bc it looks like it would be super fun! But having almost teenagers and no snow pants or good boots we stayed close to the trails and small litter slopes and ramps ppl had made. Also its FREE!
