The hike to the top of this mountain was worth it in 90 degree weather to see the panoramic views. The mountain is covered in the mineral, mica.

Great hike. Moderate terrain. Quiet in fall. Great views from little blue job peak. Miles of trails networked together by side trails leading all different directions when youre heading to the left of the trail head to little blue job summit. Perimeter trail is a little boggy in spring and fall months. Bring waterproof shoes and snacks. Great for families.

This is one of my favorite places to go for a quick hike.Really beautiful views for little effort any time of year. The top of Little Blue Job has lovely views and many cairns to check out as well as many places to just sit and enjoy the view or have a picnic. Heading up a little steeper and there is a little pond and the very top has a fire tower. Lots of lowbush blueberries everywhere offer an opportunity for a little snack if you time it right!

This is a great place for a short hike. Climbing to the summit only took 45 minutes or so, and the terrain itself was not difficult. This would be a great climb for kids, or just something to do on an afternoon. The trails around are very scenic and extensive as well. Located not far from the Rochester area, it is close at hand to enjoy.

Another quick hike if your looking to get out and only have limited amount of time. Theres a fire tower top side that provides stellar views. If you have a few extra minutes hike around the backside and enjoy a nice trail that leads to a pond and loops around.

Hiked to Blue Job summit 7/31/18. Climbed up fire lookout tower. The flexible, metal fencing (under/along the hand railing on the top deck of tower) was seriously bent out of shape and some was missing. It seemed vandalized. A potential danger to small children. Also, I heard a rumor that the NH State Police intentionally had the radio tower installed (which is adjacent to the lookout tower) without seeking any prior public input. I, for one, cant stand that behemoth of a monstrosity partly blocking the view. Its an eyesore and it might be emitting powerful microwave radiation at visitors who climb the lookout tower. I dont feel safe hanging out on the lookout tower for too long, due to that unknown factor...

A great hike for all ages.We first visited as chaperones for a class trip with our child yeara ago. We have returned over the years since. There is some elevation with the hike, and the trails are clearly marked. There is a fire tower at the top pf one of the peaks and its a popular climb to get some spectacular views of the area.A hike for someone of average skill and ability should take about an hour. Parking supports about 20 cars. There are no restrooms.

Its a short not so challenging hike and the closest to Rochester and Dover. The parking lot has space for about 15 cars, but you can park on the road too.Google maps may not bring you far enough up the road to see the parking lot. Keep going for another 1/8 of a mile and youll see it.Lots of folks bring their dogs. Remember to pick up your dogs poop! Lots of families walk here too.The view from the firetower sumit has a great view facing south and on clear days you can even see Portsmouth and the coast. The lower sumit is a large flat outcrop and a great spot to sit and have a snack before heading back. It also has great views of the white mountains on clear days. From the parking lot you can head left or right. The right path is steeper and brings you to the higher watchtower peak. The left path is flatter and will bring you to the lower summit.Between the two summits is a small pond with turtles and frogs. In late July the lower summit has a bunch of wild blueberries you can pick as well.Overall its a great little mountain, takes less than 1.5 hour round trip including stopping to enjoy the summits.

Some of the best views this far south of the white mountain region. I believe the trail is roughly a 3 mile loop if you go to Mt. Baldy, which is a fantastic addition to hike if youve only ever done the walk to the fire tower.

Been hiking the trails ever since moving from Oregon. This year (2013) we hit the blueberry harvest at the right time & spent hours eating & harvesting wild low bush blueberries with our 2y8m old son. With three different loops, a fire lookout you can climb up, & the blueberry fields, Blue Job is a great trip for all ages.
