A fake miniature village on Dakota County Fairgrounds. Neat nestled in a very shady part of 360 acres of fairgrounds gives weary fair goers a rest area while consuming fair activities.

We went for the Christmas Village, so cute and fun. It was cold but if you go dressed for the weather, it was fun. Lots of different buildings with stuff inside.

Need sign for entering village. This would help people decide where they should park.Visitors should ensure they will not need to use a restroom. Only volunteer staff are allowed to use a bathroom located in building visitor is exploring. If you are wary on ice, dont go

Went for the Christmas exhibit, play by the Castle Childrens Theatre, and lights - all were fantastic. Many things to see and learn about for a very, very reasonable price.

Love this place for their holiday setting. We have gone every year for the last 5 years. Just a great way to get into the holiday season. If you like to see and hear some local history, it is a great way to spend an afternoon. And volunteers set up Christmas lights for December, that are on every night. Great place to grab some pictures.

Definitely would go again . Far distance but worth a trip looks so authentic and they have a shoot out reenactment on certain days and times.

This is a great place to come and explore things of the past in the turn of the century village. No matter what your age you will find something to peak your interest. Enjoy singing Christmas carols in the church. Watch the blacksmith, print maker, or the cabinet maker as they work their trade. Go visit the barbershop and catch up on the latest. Feel free to ask all the questions you want as theyre happy to teach you about their work. And be sure to go visit the lovely homes in the village and watch as they prepare for and entertain guests for Christmas.

Check for times when they are open, but my kids went to a summer camp here and loved it. Their eyes lit up as they would describe to me how old bank tellers did their jobs, how the trains would run, or the types of things found in the old General Store. It will be open during the Dakota County Fair as well, but it is a great heritage village for the family to explore.

We decided to have our wedding her and were under the impression that we would be the only people there. We were so wrong! They had two other events! We had to keep telling people they could not be around where we were and then the other event their music was too loud! They told me they would make sure no one would bother us at all during our time there because they refuse to cancel the other events. They did not follow that and when we complained to the person who was supposed to be there to make sure they did not interrupt us they said they could be here too! DO NOT BOOK HERE!
