It’s a nice little place to sit and enjoy your day and have a little family get together. They have 2 docks where you can go out on and enjoy the water and the morning breeze and fish from on the other side there’s also a beach where you can go swimming. There’s some wildlife that you are able to enjoy there and take pictures of or just watch and enjoy. A trail runs through Shager Park so if you are walking, jogging, or biking then you can stop by and rest and enjoy this beautiful place for a moment.

What a great park. Free. You can swim and sunbathe. A Dock to fish off, jump off. Swings a boat launch and a walking path. What more do you need??What a great spot to cool down in the hot Minnesota sun.

We parked are car here while we rode the Singing Hills State bike trail toward Mankato. This is a nice county park with a swimming beach, picnic table and a boat launch. We enjoyed the nice view of Cannon lake as we had a picnic after our bike ride.

Neighborhood park Has play structuresand lots of picnic tables. Lots of middleSchool and High school kids hanging out. We stopped to eat lunch. Well groomed grounds.

This is the place to go! Big open waters. Shallow. Not busy at all! Easy to get boat in and out of water.

Went with floating rafts for my daughters birthday. Had a blast in the water! Sadly, the beach was full of trash on that day. Just stopped by the beach yesterday to see if dog days have set in too much to swim yet in August. The beach was completely cleaned up! It was immaculate. So now all thats left, is filling and leveling, the really terrible and plentiful deep potholes all over the parking lot. If that happens, this will ultimately be my favorite beach and lake in the entire 70 mile area! Thank you Shager Beach Parks & Recreation Caretakers! Just those lousy potholes remain to be fixed now! August in the water is still viable!

Decent place to park and eat a meal. This park isn’t much more than a huge parking lot servicing the nearby bike path and a few pieces of play equipment. Walked out on one of the docks and got eaten to pieces by some next-level mecha-mosquitos. Maybe don’t visit near sunset.

Beach area needs a clean up and a refreshening. Perhaps some fresh sand? Its looking pretty average lately.
