Very nice in size for our lab yet very quaint in size also. Dont have far to look for her if she didnt come when I call and the sandy beach space is a plus!!

I enjoy this place. The dogs having fun. People meet and greet. Park has great water feature. Be aware of snapping turtles.

Great off leash park. Although I wish the back part of the trail was managed a little differently. Having to duck under the pipe is less than ideal. I also wish there werent so many ways to get into the water. Maybe block off the easy access point other than the front? Those are my only complaints. Everyone that Ive had interactions with have been very friendly and definitely willing to let my puppy get to know them and their dogs. Also! It has a hose to spray off dogs when they get a little messy, although I would recommend a towel! There are bag stations all throughout the loop. There are nice benches throughout the trail as well if you or your pup need to take a break. Overall, one of the best dog parks Ive seen!

The dog park is natural and seemingly private. (There is a naturalized pool with water, the dogs do swim in it.) And the bike trails? Outstanding! Great condition, out and away from most traffic, natural and challenging. Well done, White Sands Dog Park and Trailhead. Will visit again and again.

Our dog loves roaming free and meeting other dogs there. There seems to be a nice camaraderie among the dog owners you meet there.

Anytime you and your best friend need to go get away take a stroll threw this park made for you both to enjoy...

Bring towels! And maybe a brush for the sand. This 1/4 mile loop encircles the old city swimming hole (notice that word isnt pool). Its messy, but doggo will be so happy!If you come from the east, good luck getting in here bc of the divided highway. If you come from the west, go a few hundred feet further than you think you should. Weve been there a handful of times and always found nice people with good dogs, though weve also found the occasional dog or owner who seems concerned or frustrated that others are in the park. Its never been anything aggressive, but thats weird, right? Anyway, the trail is well maintained, and its charmingly woodsy! There are 3 or 4 picnic tables at the front (2 or 3 are under a roof). There are almost always extra bags too. Not sure who is doing that, but kudos to you if youre reading this!

Ive only been in the winter so Im not sure what its like when the ice is melted but I love it..my puppy has so much fun..one trail around the swimming hole..trees and tunnels. Much better than a fenced in square of dirt or grass.

Great place to run your dog(s). Not crowded and the water is great for pups to swim.
