The zoo is pretty chill. We went on a Sunday afternoon and there werent very many people making it an inviting experience. All of the exhibits are well done and you can get pretty close to some of the animals. The walk in bird aviary and barn were our favorites. Overall a great place to spend a couple of hours!

The zoo is very small and does not have a large variety of unusual animals. However the staff is very pleasant and there is a young lady who works with the barnyard animals who very obviously loves the animals, loves her job and had a lot of information about the animals. If I could remember her name I would totally give her a shout-out. She rocks.

As zoos go it is small. That said the staff (keepers) were friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. The sky bridge will be great once its complete.

Plenty to see up close and personal. Talks are back. Nice variety of animals, well taken care of. Exhibits are mostly in good shape. The café had surprisingly good fare for a reasonable price (caprese toasted sandwich, mixed salad with artichokes, good fries) and the gift shop has the best book for $8 (Zoo Goofs).

RUDE - RUDE -RUDEJust picture: two exhausted mothers pushing two strollers just to reach at 4.02 pm at the entrance of the zoo, so the cashier lady would say “ Sorry we are closed! And I have only 20’ for my next swift job”We were speechless for both her tone of voice and her luck of empathy. Yes we were late 2 minutes in the busiest zoo in USA.

Really nice little zoo for this area. The price was very reasonable, maximum of $10 for the whole day and it really felt like you got your moneys worth. We took my niece their and she had a fun time walking through the zoo and had a fun time at the small petting zoo area. It looks like they have plans for expanding to be a little larger and it seems very interesting!

This is a great place for anyone to do.... pretty much anything! This place is The primetime example of what Humboldt county is all about. The wildlife, greenery, fresh air and the overall theme of outdoor beauty comes together in one LITTLE place. From the bottom of the park at the duck pond, all the way up top at the big playground, you get to experience a little piece of how Humboldt county used to be. Its strange to think that this whole place used to be filled with these humongous trees AKA these giant weeds-AMAZING

I was very disappointed, there werent many animals, it just felt dry, greenery not well kept. Being a native of Humboldt, its really gone down in appeal. I took my great grandson, to enjoy the area. We were so disappointed, no otters? Where are they.

Maybe when there isnt a pandemic this zoo is rocking, but it wasnt when we went. Half the animals were gone, and you couldnt do half the things. We spent an hour here and we went so slow. Im happy to spend the money to support them, but it wasnt really worth it.

Sequoia Park Zoo is a small sanctuary for a limited amount of animals. Here you will see beautiful birds, like majestic bald eagles and interesting animals like red pandas. The walk about is easy to do is wheel chair and stroller accessible. This family frendly place is an inexpensive day trip that though limited in interaction due to Vovid-19 prevention regulations is a great way to escape our new reality. Mask are required at all times. There are hand sanitizers placed throughout the park and staff are very friendly and extremely helpful.

Out of towner here, we live in Nashville so we are used to a huge zoo, but to be honest we loved this zoo. My son loved the otter exhibit. How you could go in the tube and check them out! I grew up with only the best memories of this zoo. It was my favorite. Since the remodel, not only is there a price of admission, there’s no more actual animals worth seeing. Don’t get me wrong, paying to get into a zoo makes sense, but paying to see just a handful of animals is so disappointing. They paid a lot of money to renovate and make the zoo look nice over the years, but brought in none of the animals to make it an actual zoo. I miss the bears, lynx, and of course...THE PRAIRIE DOGS! The saving grace of this zoo is the zoo cafe. Legit good food. Oh, and the otters are the best.

We came on a super rainy day and Im convinced we were the only two people in the park. The food place was closed and most of the animals were hiding. That said, we had SO MUCH FUN. We spent forever petting the donkeys, they were so friendly. Admission was cheap, the aviary with the eagles and owl and porcupine were also incredible. We saw a bunch of flamingos, chickens, rabbits, and goats too. Im sure this place would have been even more exciting if we had come in on a day where the weather was cooperative. Seemed like a cool place, hope I can check it out on a sunny day. Thanks for having us! :)

This place is a hidden gem for a date, or just a couple hours of fun! The aviaries are beautiful, the eagles are massive, beautiful, and intimidating. The parrots in the other aviary both talk, and whistle. They gave my girlfriend and I a delightful greeting when they said “Hello” and the other began to whistle to be noticed. The otters are incredibly fun to watch, and the red pandas are the cutest to watch during their feeding time! There’s a lot of animals to pet in the barn area and the entire staff is fun and knowledgable. It’s a wonderful place for a wonderful time!

We love to visit the Sequoia Park Zoo! The zoo keepers are friendly and willing to share their knowledge of the animals. Feeding times are some of our favorite times to visit with the zookeepers and watch the animals. The zoo is just the right size to visit for a few hours and enjoy each exhibit without rushing. The bathroom facility is very nice and easily accessible. Be sure to check out the Rainforest Room. And if you have an extra hour, ask for an Ed-venture brochure at the ticket counter and go on an educational treasure hunt/hike at the forest park surrounding the zoo.
