This waterfront park has a lovely trail and adjacent boat ramp. The park itself is mainly used for large community events, so the vast lawn has stood empty for most of 2020. There is a cement amphitheater on the grounds that hasnt been maintained in years. The picnic tables are crumbling and the outdoor roof is just a skeleton of geometric beams. I tend to avoid that structure at night because it is pitch black and homeless people like to hang out there. The amphitheater has lights but they never come on. The waterfront trail is also pretty dark but it has nice views of the bay.

I really enjoyed this place. It has a nice walking path that goes from one side of Eureka to the other and eventually connects with the trail that goes through Humboldt County and eventually through all of the west coast. The park has boat ramps and cinnects to the Boardwalk in Old Towne where most of the more upscale and eclectic shops call home. The Adorni Center also has an old world amphitheater where you can sit and watch the world pass you by or if youre really outgoing...test your vocals for the other townspeople! My only drawback with this space is that there tends to be a lot of foot traffic from the transits who inhabit the more prominent areas of our quaint little town. Unfortunately, though, this seems to be the case for most if the more temperate parts of the west coast in general. Aside from that, I say, leash your dogs and grab the kids and enjoy a lovely day outside!

I saw sea otters and a bird with an entire bagel in its beak...what more could you possibly ask for?! Great place to walk around, nice path for humans and dogs to enjoy, the wall covered in artwork is pretty cool too. Especially nice in the morning!

Lots of good events here. Great views. The trail along the water could use some work, and the local transient population tends to congregate when there isnt something going on

Its a great place for a walk along the water, Eureka Bay. Bring a friend it can attract the homeless, but generally its well populated and safe. There are different events occurring in the Summer.

I fished at Halverson Park today. Got asked for a cigarette by 5 different walkers. It would be such an amazing park to play volleyball, take your dog, football, etc. Instead I have to watch my truck like a hawk to make sure the 20 different tweakers learking around arent breaking into my truck.

Great family set up here and riyght there in the middle of town. All baround activities for the day so I can highly recommend it to anyone else looking for some reason to just get out and be active.

The train rides were great, the homeless population and trash not so much.

It could use some additional clean up and development, but parts are nice. It works well as a outdoor event space.

Did not visit, rowdy bunch hangs out there after dark, sometimes. City park bathrooms are padlocked shut, day or night. There is dog feces at one end, and loud drunks or passed out people at other end. There is significant investment in a launching ramp that is poorly maintained, and an amphitheater at the other, also not well cared for. A nice bike and pedestrian trail borders grass area and is well used during daylight hours.

Best place to watch the fireworks ever. Otherwise the tweakers are usually pretty funny. Its a nice setting with a lousy upkeep.
