A very nice small venue for performances. We went to jazz concert that was intimate and had great acoustics - the room is a 50ft (?) diameter circle that is part of old Carnegie Library. Also beautiful art on display in adjacent rooms. Bring cushion for folding chair seats. You will enjoy it if you go to special event or to view art/ exhibits.

This is a great Art Museum in a beautiful old Carnegie Library. The architecture is stunning and the rotating art is always of Interest. There is an emphasis on local artists of many different media and styles. It is always a joy to visit.

This beautiful old library building just off Old Town Eureka is a perfect art destination, and the highlight of a recent art walk on First Saturdays Arts Alive. The different size rooms allow for larger or small intimate displays. A large area is perfect for performances and a band was adding to the festive atmosphere. And the buildings woodwork, columns, tile flooring have all been beautifully maintained to appreciate now and in the future.

Morris Graves is located in the restored Carnegie library building in Eureka, California and is a majestic building. The second-floor balcony is a rotunda, the walls of which hold works of current and local painters. It is named for a local artist who died on May 5, 2001 at his 380 acre lake home in Loleta,CA, a few miles South of Eureka. The building contains a small collection of Graves many works and much of a personal collection of his collegues paintings. Eureka is the hub of multiple beautiful surrounding locations and the show place of many artists. The works are changed regularly and the basement gift shop has many treats. Come on the first Saturday of every month for special shows of music, photography, painting, and sculpture that run from Morris Graves throughout the town.

It has a lot of contribution from the community for art pieces. A lovely building, and usually has some kind of event going on. Usually pertaining to art or music. The best is seeing all the involvement.
