This is a really beautiful trail, but be aware even though its only a mile its mostly uphill
We wanted to overlook Eugene. So we took one of the longer trails and started from Martin St. From there youll walk about 1.5 hours to the top of Spencer Butte. Of course, this is also a great trail for running. The last part you will come out of the shade of the huge trees. Bring water and clothes if the wind is blowing it can get pretty chilly up there. The squirrels are aggressively attacking your food.
Well maintained, peaceful trail. In city, walk in the forest. Eugene is so special that way.
Good for running
Nice because it is close to town. Much better trails if you have time to drive 45 minutes.
A beautiful trail system rich in NWtropical lush foilage and opportunities to see wildlife like deer, owls, turkeys and much more. Paradise!
