Badly infested with big black insects, all over the upstairs curtains. No one gave any warning about it so we had to leave AFTER we paid the admission. Interesting history though.

Three generations of women in my family celebrated a birthday at high tea at the historic home. The gardens were in full bloom with spring flowers. The table settings were lovely. The scones with clotted cream were perfection, followed by an amazing sampling of desserts and teas. An memorable afternoon spent enjoying a tradition that is almost forgotten. Bon appetit.

Exquisite. This home is so lovely. Guided tours available as you arrive. Learn about the wonderful families and history of the home. Wander through on your own after the tour. Only $6 to enter, and well worth it. So beautiful, so interesting. ***There is free parking right behind the house! You do NOT have to pay to park at the bottom and walk up a million stairs.***

Its my fortunate I walked pass this 130 year-old house and decided to make a visit. Passing down from three generations of owners, this house captures my heart with it. Its not that spacious inside and I could say its a small living museum, but I could imagine how hard to build this kind of arts in those periods. They woke up every morning and saw the gorgeous scenery of Eugene every single day when they also have had huge collections of antiques and items that have held their own history.

It’s a cool place but they use so much of it for their own storage so you don’t get the full picture. There was a guest artist with paintings everywhere and while she was definitely talented, it definitely takes away from the ambience to have bright and mismatched art everywhere.

Really cool historic house with lots of great antiques but you can tell it needs some TLC as there was clutter from staff sitting around and storage hidden behind antiques which kinda ruined the esthetic. But the area is beautiful and for $6/person it can be fun if youre into history or possible haunted houses
