If you live in century oaks, this is a great little local romp to go on with your kids as it makes for a perfect post dinnertime walk. If you dont live near however, the short length isnt really worth the trip. The path is clear, yet varied enough to not be boring. There is a path that connects it to lake Sherman (the geothermal reservoir in front of Sherman hospital) if you want to add some length to it. Do watch out for mosquitos and poison ivy.

Fun to camp at with the family. Great fishing. Sweet hiking trails.

Great public wooded park. City has allowed the once excellent trail to become nearly impassible with fallen trees and overgrowth and muddy. The City is going to allow NICOR Gas to cut a 60 wide path through this virgin forest!
