What a perfect place to watch the sunset! There weren’t a lot of people here, because it was windy and chilly, but the view made it so worth braving the elements! The entire trek to the beach is made up of a series of (a lot of) ramps, making it wheelchair and stroller friendly until you hit the sand. There’s also plenty of parking. This beach changes so much with the tide. Make sure you’re watching carefully when the tide is coming in so you don’t get stuck. One side of the beach is sandy and the other is more rocky, but both are nice in their own way.

My favorite beach for the last 16 years. Long walks or sit and enjoy the views. However in summer the smell of seaweed can be bad enough to keep me and others I know from going. This has become increasingly worse the past 3 years. Also the number of full doggy bags left laying anywhere is ecology far worse than not picking up after the dogs. I love all the wonderful dogs at the beach but come on owners! Dont just look responsible for your pet, be completely responsible. A lot of those plastic dog bags end up in the water. Thats pretty harmful for all the wildlife and fish!

Great place to take the kids and unwind for a bit. The passing trains are a plus, especially watching up close from the bridge.Definitely bring a wagon to haul your gear, and use the entry ramp closest towards the water, not the entry point in the middle of the lot, same goes for non all-terrain strollers.Theres only a few tables, so you definitely have to come early to claim one, but plenty of grass space to set-up your own folding table, grill, canopy, chairs, etc.Nice sunsets. Some people kayaking. Some people crabbing and/or soaking their pots further away.

Good place for spending evening time with family. Lots of parking spots available. Childrens enjoy frequently passing trains through the tracks near the beach. The beach is rocky but the view is amazing. Lots of open space for social distancing.

We were fortunate to get the only empty parking slot at about 1:00 on a Saturday afternoon. Later we saw cars parked on the nearby streets. I cannot say that the restrooms were poorly maintained, but they were so used, so full and so smelly that I could not avail myself of their service, had to flee. Be prepared before you go.Nevertheless, this is a beautiful little Northwest sandy beach. In fact it actually stretches, by my estimate, about half a mile north and south. So there is plenty of space to spread out, even with a lot of people there. There are barbecues and picnic tables. Some family parties were celebrating birthdays. The water was beautifully clear and swimmers, wind-surfers, and boaters were enjoying it.There is a woody area for shade, some beautiful large driftwood, and a clear stream feeding the beach. The tide was out and there was a huge band of redolent seaweed. The aroma filled the air, even with a nice breeze. There is a switch-back pedestrian overpass that makes the approach from the parking lot to the beach safe and easy. Its about 15 minutes northwest of Alderwood Mall, 35 minutes from the Admiral District in West Seattle (during the time of the WS Bridge being closed). Whether you picnic or not, this is a very pleasant outdoor diversion. Highly recommend!

Best local place to hang out by the water. Go early, parking fills up quick! If you check the tide charts and go at low tide youll be surprised to find starfish and moon snails in the sand. My kids love watching the trains go by from the overpass, if youre lucky youll see some Boeing planes on the trains. TL;DR: This Beach is great and while it does get crowded, if you go early its a wonderful place to walk around.

Nice view. The railroad is right up against the beach, it can be noisy. The seaweed washes up on the beach so it can be fragrant on a hot day. None of these two negative aspects would stop me from going.

Water was awesome.. beach is really nice... gave it three stars due to lack of parking to match the interest and the apparent issue of people cleaning the area after their dogs do the dew... On top of that, if youre on crutches, I recommend postponing the beach trip... long ways to hike on those.

Nice but usually kind of busy on the weekends. Once you get out of the parking lot and the dirty picnic area the beach is pretty nice. Usually can see some wildlife and boats going by.

Nice area to enjoy the beachfront. There is a large amount of slick and nasty seaweed in the area, which can be avoided. The beach is mostly shells and rocks with some sand. There are porta pottys at the parking but no building other than that. There are a couple grass spots with picnic tables and grills. The trains go by every so often, which is nice.

You have to walk across a railroad overpass to access the park and the beach is full of slick rocks. The view is very nice. There is a small grassy area with a couple of picnic tables. There is also a small stream that runs into the Sound, a great place for little kids to enjoy water play without dealing with waves on the shore.

I very much enjoyed my visit to this park! The pedestrian bridge is well maintained and easily accessed from the good sized parking lot, it takes you over the railroad tracks and right to the beach. There are picnic tables next to the beach. The beach itself is fairly rocky, but beautiful, with old dock pilings sticking out of it in spots that the birds like to perch on. Quite picturesque, with beautiful views of the blue water and islands. Very clean park. I also saw some harbor seals out in the water. I will visit again soon.

This park is absolutely beautiful. If you go a little before sunset and hangout for awhile you won’t be disappointed. It’s a very family friendly park, where you’ll see bald eagles perched, and baby seals during the right months. This park is really incredible, and worth going to. It does allow pets, and there are grills you provided, with plenty of parking.

Driving back the Oregon Coast, I stopped by this hidden little spot. Popped up on Google and decided to check it out.Slightly hidden in a residential area, this beach is great for a small family picnic. A bridge stretches above the train tracks to lead you to the beach area. Not too many tables, maybe even just one, theres plenty of rocky beach area if you want to bring some extra table and chairs. Reasonable amount of parking space, more in the nearby residential area if you dont mind the walk.Great views!

We were there at very low tide which may have contributed to the terrible smell. It was difficult to wander by the beach because the smell was overwhelming. There was also a stagnant salt water pond which may have contributed. Beautiful views. Trains running right behind you at high speed. If you are in the neighborhood go for it. If not, maybe try one of the other beach parks in Edmonds.

Nice beach park for families with small kids and dog owners. Limited parking, limited picnic tables, and portable toilets by the parking lot.Great for kite flying at low tide.As with other beach parks frequented by dogs and their owners, you have to keep an eye out for dog poop (spotted three scattered around the park plus an abandoned doggie poop bag).A better park destination is Edmonds Marina Beach a few miles away.

Fun beach! When its low tide! But when its low tide it reeks of seaweed. The water is murky, but my girls dont seem to care. There is a pool where all the kids look for little crabs! My daughters love it. The we explore the low tide beaches and find other sea creatures, like a sea snail, it was huge, i didnt have my phone to take a pic of it, but it was biggg!! Great place for the family! There are bbq grills and picnic tables, but I suggest to get there early because it gets packed at about 2pm!
