Fun hike. In the beginning, youre by a stream for a while with a slight climb, lots of trees and different views, and then it climbs a bit steeper up to the rest spot with some switchbacks. Its well maintained, has a bathroom at the trailhead, and we only saw a dozen people or so on the hike. Not a terribly hard hike, and nothing too spectacular to see, but nothing to really find fault with either.

Well maintained trail. Coming from flatland were were worked hard, but certainly not a difficult hike. The view from the top was worth the sweat

Amazing trail. snow on the way up, and sun on the way down.Just dont accidentally take a singletrack and wind up on the wrong trail.

If you love to hike you must try this trail. The views at the top are amazing. Well worth the trek. Bring water and some shade enjoy this lovely marked, high traffic trail. Dog and kid friendly.

A relatively easy day hike through the forest gets you to this picturesque little resting spot with a bench and great views of the surrounding area and Perins Peak in the distance. Great way to dip a toe into the San Juan National Forest. Expect to see many other hikers and cyclists. The Junction Creek trailhead is easily accessible with all vehicles as its right off of a paved county road.
