This is a nice place to walk. A small Creek has two pedestrian bridges that cross it allowing you to walk from one side to the other. However one of the bridges is very narrow and you have to move to the side if someone comes. Bears picnic areas with grills in a playground. The lake was very nice. Word of caution a lot of people fish here including from the bridges, keep alert.

Went today. Wondering if this blue bird is indeed standing on one foot, or deceiving me. Either way what a sight to see. This bird was BIG! And posed well. Not sure if this is a crane, heron, or what? Maybe natives to Delaware would know.

One of my favorite parks in Dover! Just a beautiful, relaxing setting. Room for games on the field, fishing or just watching the water flow. Pavillions so you can bring a lunch, playset for the littles. I brought my Grandchildren here when they were little, and now my doggo loves to take a walk there and attract attention.

Walking trails, fitness course, public boat ramp, playground, plenty of open space for all types of recreational activities. Very clean close to downtown and rt 13

Still my favorite place to visit. As a child we could swim in the lake but there was more sand and lots of swings. Things have changed; absolutely swimming, the swings that made you feel like you were going into the lake are no longer there, and no life guard stands but it was still nice to revisit my childhood playground. The picnic tables are still there!

Nice City Park! Its a wonderful, peaceful, pretty setting for families or individuals to spend some lovely moments outside. I love going to Silver Lake Park. Like to watch the geese, enjoy looking at and listening to the water, and watching people fish. So far, our experience has been wonderful...and now with the pandemic still with us, people social distancing, being respectful of each other. I have always felt safe here, and still do.

This has always been a favorite place since I was a child. Sorry, however, that there is no swimming. Understand why, just sorry.

Crowded most the time. People can be rude. However its a good walking and running type of place. You can fish with a license.

Its great park except for alk the no smoking signs give the smokers a pavilion we can smoke at so people dont keep getting fined cause the signs worda are so small and kinda hard to see unless you right up on it ....

The sound of water over the spillway. The ducks chasing each other, arguing over the females and just swimming. The beauty of the trees in floral bloom. It all made for a wonderful visit.

Always a wonderful place to unwine, people watch, bird watch , duck an geese watch an to take your dogs for a walk. Very relaxing an safe. You can even have a picnic, go fishing or play volleyball ball.

Its, OK. Its overall boring if nothing is going on. Unless your having a party with friends then I recommended not going. Good for fishing though.

Nice park to take my grandson to in the middle of the city. He enjoyed seeing the ducks in the pond, walking on the paved walkways, and playing on the childrens play gym and swings. I am thankful they also had Port-A-Johns for him to use as well. We have used this park also for family picknicks and for lake swimming in the past as it has a beach.

Perfect place to take a stroll and see a slice of nature. There are always seagulls in the main Lake and ducks squabbling to get bread from you. I like walking across the falls and stopping for a moment to take in the negative ions

My children love visiting the park, we frequently go at least twice a week. I absolutely love the scenery, everyone has been friendly when we go. My daughter always finds someone to play with when we go; for instance, today when we were there her and some kids were playing a game called hot lava whatever thay is..but the point Im trying to make is you can definitely expect your family to have a good time at Silver Lake. And another thing we love to do everytime we go is feeding the ducks. Sometimes my husband and I walk the trail, its so tranquil and beautiful. So make sure you bring your camera, youre going to love the background for pictures.

Really nice park with awesome play area. Cute and narrow bridge connects parking area with playpark (enter off State St). Easy for mobile toddlers and many 12 year olds were also entertained. Lots of seated areas for parents as well. Partially shaded and close areas had fishing...

Nice park for fishing, taking the kids to the playground. This park also has a beautiful picturesque scenery of a waterfall dam with ducks swimming around. You can sit back and relax or just have fun doing various activities at this large beautiful park!

It was nice and quiet to take my dog for a walk. For as hot as its been, the dog park had quite a few people walking their furry babies too.

Pretty chill park. I grew up around this area and I had my wedding photos taken here during the summer. Nice playgrounds and I see people fishing and jogging.

This is a great place to escape the day if u enjoy walking and looking at the scenery or if you are looking for that certain photo opportunity.I fish here from time to time and can say that if you are a bass fisherman like myself and take the time to fish the rocks around the spillway area on the beach side and the creek that winds through the park, you will be rewarded with a few good fish. If you are going out on a boat, be sure to target all the docks and lay downs for some quality bites and then go through the tunnels and work the two points to your right. The second point has a nice drop off and holds some quality bass. A nice place to visit. Plenty of pavilions as well as a playground for children. A beach style area on one side of the park and a gravel parking area give way to a sidewalk that winds its way through the entire park and leading into the historical park area of downtown will give you more than your fair share of scenic views of tons of small shops to discover. Silver lake is a great starting point for those looking to take a walk while exploring the surrounding downtown area.

We like the paved walkways, but it needs a clean up, especially the fishing lines and Bobs in the trees and bushes.

Lovely park, just watch out for the giant snapping turtle that walks by the play ground every now and then!
