This museum is very complete. They have items all the way from the 1800s and you learn good history of the expansion of the western frontier and specifics about the Douglas area. The museum is free which makes it even better. The lady at the front desk was very polite and welcoming.

I have been here twice now and I plan on going back yet again sometime in the future. If you are at all interested in learning how early Wyoming settlers lived, this museum will fascinate you. There is also a vast collection of artifacts from Wyoming natives who served in our armed forces - an excellent reminder of what many generations have sacrificed in order to give us our freedoms. Very informative, lots of fascinating history here!

I loved this museum!! It was free, which is fantastic, and it had a TON of stuff there. It was well laid-out and very interesting for me. I love history and this covered the history of the area in a very meaningful way. Id definitely go back-- we arrived late and were not able to spend enough time there.

This is a gem hidden away on the Wyoming State Fairgrounds. If you have any interest in Western History, you MUST visit this museum. If you are just looking for a place to get an overview of Wyoming history or chill for a while in some AC, it is also a great place.
