**JUST FOR THE SUBMARINE ROOM**- No spoilers- Not rating the Escapology company OR the fantastic employees!____ ____ ____ ____The submarine room is the hardest. Its clever and has lots of different kinds of puzzles and multiple rooms! Id give it for creativity and challenge level!...However, this room needs help, thus the rating. I have two reasons.1) Simply put, the locks and buttons need to be replaced. We wasted much time having the right codes, but not having them *perfectly* (and I mean perfectly) lined up. Plus we had to pull too hard on the lock to think we were doing it right.2) Second, some of the....writings...on certain objects has been almost completely worn off which wasted even more of our time. (When the time was up and the employee came in to kindly show us the last steps, even he couldnt read them.)Ill change my rating once these improvements have been made! Thanks guys!

Nice room. Well done. Could be a bit more gadget oriented, easily known where clues were, just a matter of getting them. Fun, and well done, so you should go.

Such a cool experience! I definitely want to try it again. Our Game Master was super nice and explained everything thoroughly before hand (this was our first escape room experience) and then the game began. It was tricky at times (we choose antidote, the easiest one) so it definitely takes team work and problem solving to win. Unfortunately we didnt make it out in time but we had a blast trying to. If you want to try an escape room I definitely would recommend going here!

Wasnt a great experience. The website made us believe it was gunna be fabulous. The facility was nice and clean and the room was designed fairly well. The goal wasnt clearly defined, but we completed the Budapest mission with ease. Their rating scale was off I feel it was not a difficulty of a 8.5 on a10 scale. The biggest downer was the customer service of the team members during the mission. Their interaction was poor.

It was my first time at Escapology Destin, as well as my first Escape Room experience ever - And I LOVED it! The venue was SO nice and clean, the decor in the lobby started your experience the second you walked through the door. We did a team building experience with our business in the Budapest Train Car Murder Mystery and we were able to Escape with just seconds left. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking for a fun and different activity!

This would have been a 5 star review...A very critical element was missing. This had us searching high and low. 2 clues were burned and approximately 13 minutes of clock time lost.I would still recommend this room, just ask your game master to ensure all elements are in place.

We had a fantastic experience at Escapeology Destin. The game we played (THE CODE) was challenging and fun. The props were high quality, and the storyline was unique and easy to follow... even for our 10 & 13 year olds. Our game master, Kat, was SUPER fun, too. She was friendly, supportive, and extremely helpful. She’s VERY good at her job. When one particular prop failed, she didn’t hesitate to jump in and remedy the situation. We’re very experienced escape room people, and she delivered the EXACT kind of service we enjoy in a game master. Next time we’re in Destin, we’ll definitely be coming back to Escapeology.

Had a lot of fun with my friends here. Made it through the escape rooms. Though we’re never going to live down missing that ONE CLUE that was right in front of our noses in the most obvious place and we didn’t check because we all trusted that someone else in our group already checked it! We wasted half an hour searching for it. But we made it.My advice for everyone, think outside the box, yes. But make sure to check IN the box, just in case you’ve missed something. All in all, we really enjoyed it and I would gladly do it again in a heartbeat. All the clues and everything were really well put together. It was creative and inspiring. If you are considering going here, do it.

It was our first escape room so I am a novice and only have this one place to compare too. It was a really good time. We got through it, it flowed nicely, the theme was a blast. We did the Antidote room. The clues are helpful if and when u get stuck and overall I reccomend. Check your dry erase marker before you begin though because ours didnt work.

This was the 2nd time Ive been to an Escape room in as many days and it was a bit underwhelming compared to the 1st at a different location in Destin. For those looking for the gist - yes, it was fun, I might go back, but there were a few things that just bothered me to no end. Im a stickler for details, i.e., things should be clear and working properly, and I didnt get that here. The 1st room has a single recessed light bulb, so if youre older and dont see real well like myself, its not fun squinting. They use an intercom to communicate between you and the gamemaster, but its harder to understand what the gamemaster is saying than a fast food drive-thru. Not impossible, but its not clear. We solve several things and open the last room. However, we needed a hint to get something solved - call the gamemaster, get something on the tv screen - which, by the way, is in the first room behind a door - if they had put it against the opposite wall, you could take less steps to go back and view it (and your remaining time) saving you precious time. Unfortunately, the clue doesnt stay on the screen long and my teammates saw it, not me, and they dont remember what it said. Id be nice if the clue was left on the screen until you asked for help again. The two things that irked me the most and the primary reason for the 3-star review is this: 1) there is a card showing you how scores are calculated on a dartboard, but it only goes over certain circular areas. One of the darts was outside these areas so I had no idea what multiplier to use. Additionally, this same dart is located on the horizontal axis at what appeared to be a nine. We didnt get the number right of course - theres no multiplier on the card, so do we guess the multiplier or assume it is zero and not count it? I asked the 2nd gamemaster who took over after our time was up and she said it was a six because the opposite side was an eleven (yeah, didnt make sense to me either). It was also clear, according to her, that the multiplier was one. Sorry, no, I dont play darts and you could easily make or simply download a better visual chart showing what areas of the board are multiplied by what. Also, why not get a dart board where the numbers are all facing upright so you know exactly what the darn the number is instead of guessing? The one they used has the numbers facing the center of the board, but the ten (directly below the six ) is flipped in one orientation and the thirteen (above the six) is flipped another, so youll get confused fast if you try to logic it out. If you decide to play this room, be ready to look up a picture of a dartboard on your phone unless you want to waste precious time guessing. Now, while this was frustrating and the 2nd gamemaster was nice if unapologetic, what really frustrated me to the core was you needed to figure out the darts to get to the last locked item. However, I figured out all but the last digit and determined it had to be one of three numbers. I tried them all to no avail several times along with all ten digits. The gamemaster times it several times before getting it open with one of the codes I determined. Ah, the button just has to be pressed really hard. she says. We would have beat the clock with time to spare if the darn lock worked properly. While my group left happy, I was upset because of unclear instructions and faulty equipment. No wait, I can understand that a bit, but having those two things combined with a staff that tells you these things are obvious, that is what make me upset.Update 8-9-20 (added a star): Went a second time and tried the Budapest Express. This was a five star experience. Didnt quite make it and not sure we would have figured out the last thing on our own, but everything worked and the game host was attentive, helpful and clear. Still not happy about the first experience here, but I guess it depends on the game you select, how well the equipment is maintained in said room and the game host you happen to get.

Very fun! Went with my fellow managers and GM for a work get together. We did Antidote room and escaped with almost 18 minutes to spare! We were going to just leave but enjoyed it so much we went back in for seconds! Did the Budapest one and escaped with 26 minutes left! Wrecked it! It was so much fun! The lobby and everything was clean and the employees were super fun and helpful. Definitely recommend this one over others in the area. Multiple rooms involved which was super fun! Do it!

The room was extremely fun, the staff was less than impressive. My fiancé and I came here while on vacation our room started at 1 they didn’t even open the doors to the building until 1:04. As we and another group of people walked in the guy there told us he had to wait until his co worker got there to let us in our room. We waited around for about 10 minutes before the coworker arrived. Finally we get to the room a lot of detail is put into the room and it was very fun to figure everything out. This being the first room we’ve done together alone we were very excited to have escaped. However the game host that came to get us was very unenthusiastic and seemed extremely uninterested in being at work that day. It kind of ruined the experience for us. I wouldn’t go back to this specific Escapology

We held our team building event at Escapology and had so much fun! We had never done an escape room before and it was more challenging than we expected. We didnt escape but we were close! Since then, we have tried other escape venues and we all agreed that the rooms at Escapology are much nicer and the games are more engaging and detailed. We have now gone back and tried almost every single room!

We really enjoyed this experience. It was just two of us and we were very close to solving the puzzle in the allotted hour. We needed maybe 5 more minutes! Really fun puzzle. Very well designed and decorated. We would definitely try another one on our next visit. This would be great for a group of kids or just with a few more people.

Are you looking for something fun and fortunately not crowded to do in the Destin area? This is it then. Booking your room and time is nice, because you don’t have to fight crowds. We arrived to a very welcoming staff who got us up to speed on what we would be doing. The location itself is beautiful. I’m thankful we have a nice escape room near us.

I came here with a party of 8 on the night of Nov. 9. The guy working was relatively friendly. However, he mumbled everything and we kept having to ask him to repeat what he said. Two of the items we needed to escape were locked in the wrong room, leaving us to just guess at stuff (the items we needed to use to get into the third room, were locked in the third room). And the guy was clearly not watching out for us or he would have known this. When we would ask for a hint, it took him a good while just to give us the hint. We’ve all done several escape rooms before this, and this kind of just left us with a “what the heck” experience.

We enjoyed our experience at Escapology in Destin. We did the Antidote room and escaped in around 40 minutes. The puzzles were challenging but logical. There was a good flow to the game and a fun atmosphere. Staff was friendly and welcoming. My only minor complaint was that the hints were a little too obvious and they gave us hints without asking (it didn’t ruin the experience though). I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun family activity.

My wife and I went last spring with our in-laws and 7-year-old daughter, while on vacation. We had such an incredible time we went back two more times in the next couple days, doing Antidote, Shanghaied, and The Code. The puzzles were just the right amount of challenging, and the rooms so immersive, that we all had a blast.Since then we’ve tried a few other escape rooms in our home town and while visiting relatives, but Escapology remains my favorite. I’m looking forward to going back and doing Under Pressure, which was still being built when we were there, as well as the other two we haven’t yet tried.

This place is very flawed. But one of the main things Im frustrated about is the person who was helping us over the speaker said if one of the flashlights or black lights needs batteries then to hit the hint button and wed get batteries. Welp, we got the flashlight and it didnt work. We spent nearly the first 15 minutes hitting the hint button 30 times to tell him and he NEVER answered. 30 times I kid you not. So i decided to use my phone light. Ok whatever. But then we actually needed a hint and he was still not there. We could actually here him talking and i was trying to tell him we needed help but nothing. Finally after awhile he ask if we needed help....other things were flawed as well but I womt go into detail. My husband and I were very disappointed that we spent $60 and the first 20 minutes of the game was wasted.

My Family and I came here while on a trip to Destin for the week. We had never done an excape room but had talked about it many times and was very excited. Because we came late at night, there was only one or two games avaiable so remember to book early! We went home regrouped and came back excited to trythis out considering we had had several conversations about escape rooms prior. We had onle did one that was a phone/card combo style which we failed horribly. To my suprise, the game we booked Shanghaied was very clean, super fun, and we actaully beat it together! It was a great building excersize for our family and we learned some things about us too. You have sparked us wanting to do all escape rooms, all over, but you set the bar very high and we appreciate that.
