I traveled with friends to Destin, and we forgot some things. We stopped for snorkeling gear and left with a lot more. A go to for all things beachy. The discounts and sales were pretty great as well, so while we got a lot of stuff, we didnt spend half as much as I thought we would

Where is the 0 star rating? Alvin is in desperate need to hire some more cashiers. 1 cashier for at least 30 plus people in line. It appears Alvin has left this Island and deserted his one employee and headed for the mainland. (Actually the other employees where in the back restocking Alvin’s highly overpriced junk. Too busy to help or care about the cashier)

We found amazing souvenirs here! The shirts had some good deals too!

We visit Alvins every year, multiple times. This location was a massive disappointment. Clothes were in disarray everywhere. Broken knick knacks left in stock. Only employee was an older woman who was absolutely unimpressive with her attempts at crude humor and rude mannerism. We dont have to shop at your store. We can buy souvenirs anywhere....literally up and down every block. Maybe teach your employees that at this location. Polar opposite of what we expect from an Alvins visit and we wont be back to this location.

Nice selection of name brand clothes and inexpensive non-name brand items, including everything you need for the beach.

The staff is so RUDE I rate this 0 IF I COULD , don’t recommend it there. And they have a bad attitude and they had a sale on a couple of stuff & we tell the damm lady and she denies it and gives a bad attitude , I don’t play disrespect PLEASE DONT GO HERE .

Boycott Alvins island untill they give employees liveable wages.

Overall nice store - but the young girl at the register needs some customer service training. She was talking on her phone the whole time she was checking out people. Headphone set in her ear and just having a conversation like she wasn’t at work.

Very rude customer service!!!! Store was in horrible shape and the manager was pretty much cussing out a customer about thier kid playing with a toy they were buying.. I will never go back they lost my service and a few others!!!

Definitely the place to go for touristy stuff and anything else you need for the beach. Pretty crowded and not much social distancing but besides that its a nice shop.

Theres a clearance section with shirts starting at 1.99 and I loved it. Reasonable prices and so many items to choose from.

Female worker with all gray hair was extremely rude. She made all but the “paying party” leave the store. The store was not busy at all and the line was made up of just 2 transactions including mine. This line was also socially distanced. Had this worker possibly just been precautious with the Covid Outbreak she’d be wearing a mask (which she was not). The group in front of me walked out because it was made up of young children that she expected to go wait in the parking lot alone for their mother. They had entirely too many large items for her to carry out by herself as well. After they left she began to rant to me about them and it made me very uncomfortable. I would have walked out as well but I really wanted my Corkcicle cup.

Nice selection of items but bad customer service. Waited over 45 minutes to check out. One cashier and there were several associates in the store who could have helped speed up the line.

Huge selection, awesome sales, and I wish I had gotten the ladies name at the cash register, because she was great. I will definitely be back.

Not able to try on clothes in the place due to the dressing rooms not being open. And then can’t return items that don’t fit due to COVID even though they had the tags and the receipt. Sounds like just another cash grab to me. I will never take my business there or tell anyone other than for them to avoid it.

Absolutely terrible, we are from southern Wisconsin and came down for a vacation. We stopped in and got souvenirs. When we walked up to cash register to check out, the cashier was no where around. When she showed up, she was on her phone and had no politeness at all. She rang us up, when we were walking out we noticed that a shirt that we grabbed was on the $1.99 rack outdoor, came up as $12.99. Went back inside to get that refund, she did not believe us, then proceeds to storm out of the store to go look for herself. We got the refund back but the customer service was the worst I have seen in a long time. Management seems to be non existent and needs to be more prevalent!

Terrible service. At least four people in the back putting away stock and one person running the register. Had to ask if anyone could help run the register for the 30 people waiting in line (no exaggeration). Employees laughed as I asked and acted completely irritated that I did.

The cashier named Felicia tried to physically attack me by jumping from behind the cash register yesterday and the manager stood there dumb founded. Thankfully another employee restrained her. I’m completely shocked that a business that makes millions would allow such a situation to occur. THIS IS NOT A FAMILY ENVIRONMENT! My ten year old daughter is terrified to have been witness . I will not return and do not recommend!

Very poor customer service. We asked to exchange a couple tank tops for the same amount as originally purchased. The employee said their policy was no returns or exchanges after 7 days. The reciept clearly returns within 7 days and exchanges within 30 days. The employee then said I could only exchange for the same identification item number. The purchased item didn’t fit, why would I exchange for the exact same item Very rude customer service. So we went to another one and they kindly exchanged with no questions.

Ive been here about one hour so far. line is always 8 or 10 people deep and only one register open. Really poor customer service

Cashier bad mode

I wish I had a better experience here but we encountered the worst customer service at the checkout counter. Chanise started giving us attitude right away. We had 6 shorts (2 for $18 deal) and she said we had too many so pick 1 out. We didnt count it ourselves and picked 1 out thinking we had 5 on the counter. She then said now you have 5... are you ready to check out or still picking with a lot of attitude. We didnt want to take any out in the 1st place! She proceeded to ring us out (without the sale price so we were overcharged for our items). When she was done ringing my sister, she immediately walked off without serving me or letting me know she will be back. It really makes you feel unappreciated as a customer and tourist. Souvenir shops rely on the sale prices and customers to profit and without the sale or good customer service, youll have no business. Chanise should be retrained or need to be fired if she works like that.

Kevica at the check out tonight is beyond rude. We were purchasing men’s swim trunks and two shirts. We asked if we could return or exchange any of it if for some reason they didn’t fit. She just said no (no explanation) so i made the mistake of asking her to clarify why. She said because “it’s swim trunks”. Then I asked why cant one of the shirts being returned/exchanged. Clearly bothered, She says “Because it’s dry wick”. Being friendly must be really painful and hard for her to do. She should probably work somewhere else where she doesn’t have to talk to the public.

Great place for gifts and beach supplies

The staff was not helpful or friendly. It seems like they are doing me a service by being there, when in reality I could spend my money elsewhere. Hopefully management work on friendliness because a smile goes a long way...at least in Texas

Most rude customer service staff Ive ever encountered. The girl is argumentative and completely snotty. One of the items being purchased didnt have a tag. She would not get off her station to get a replacement shirt. Meanwhile the line is getting longer and longer as my brother searches the store for that shirt. Not to mention her coworker told her we were waiting to check out and after what seemed like several minutes she finally acknowledged us and moved to another register to check us out.I guess she is not aware that tourists such as my brother pay her damn bills!

Did not have larger than L in most adult shirts. Cashier was really rude. This place is probably voted Most Likely To Turn Tourist Dollars Away From Destin. I should have walked away instead of handing over money.

I went to Alvins and bought two bathing suits, the next day I needed to return one because It rained on my vacation and never had a chance to wear it. The 60.00 dollar bathing suite still had the tags on it and was in perfect condition and clerk refused to let me return it per their return policy. I understand rules but the clerk was so rude and stuck up , if your going to buy something nice at this price I recommend buying it from a reputable place of business where you know you are getting quality and customer support . This Alvin wants to sell bathing suits at high cost but they are babys when it comes to business and customer service. In other terms they are a joke.

Went in during the remodel and most of everything was covered in plastic. Not sure why theyre even open. The hermit crabs were nice though.

Everything in this store is a mess and not organized. All the shirts arent labeled the right size. I bought a shirt that I thought was half off because the sign above it said half off but it wasnt only one style of four different styles on that rack was on sale. I tried to return it the next day but the shirt was apparently considered a swim wear accessory and they wouldnt let me return it and clerk was very rude about it.

Overall this is an ok place for souvenirs. I mainly just give the rating due to staff. I spent 45.00 then get outside and see I could have spent only 5.00 and gotten a free beach bag. No one told me that at register. Usually at other places they will tell you if you just spend ___ amount more you can get the beach bag. Not this place!! They just want your money and to get you out with NO interaction. Dont waste your time here, go down a bit to sunsations they have more of a selection and friendlier staff.

So much awesome. Floaties, coozies, souvieneers, cups, hats umbrellas. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP. There are a dozens of these stores up and down destin. Stop in if you need anything beach related.

I had to give this place 2 stars purely because of the rude and unhelpful staff. They have a great selection of tourist souvenirs but not one employee was willing to get a tshirt down for us off a higher shelf. The first 2 times we asked for assitance we were met with rude glares and one employee just ignored us as we stood next to her asking for help. I even asked if the shirt was located else where in the store lower down so i could get it myself, after they told me no it was not they still would not assist us to get a shirt.Your a tourist shop, work on your customer service.

The store is very kitschy. I does have some nice shirts. The problem was finding any help. The one girl we asked barely spoke English and was hard to understand.

Stopped by to pick up a sand bucket for my daughter. Poor selection and the one I wanted didnt even have a price tag on it so she charged me some random amount for it. There was only one person working (that I saw) She rang up my items and swiped my card twice at which she said it didnt go through. Looking at my bank statement it went through both times on my card AND I ended up paying cash. Will be calling them when they open this morning and disputing the transaction on my card.

Its an OK place to get cheap, touristy stuff. Many shops sell the exact same merchandise.

Employees are not really friendly and the few that I spoke with did not seem to know English. I asked if they had shot glasses and the guy kept saying sun glasses.
