We went to look at the hermet crabs and they were all dead. This is awful!!! It is sad that the animals arent cared for. They smelled bad, so theyve been that way for awhile.The store is a mess and the upstairs is half empty.We wont be back.

They have a lot of good stuff. Unfortunately I needed to exchange a couple things, and was told I could not due to “Covid regulations”. I find it absolutely ridiculous especially when you have hundreds of TOURISTS from God knows where coming in, no masks, touching anything and everything, yet, you can’t exchange a couple items.

Great store with plenty of variety. We decided to do the airbrush shirts for our vacation. A bit pricey in $85 for two shirts. Though the gentleman airbrushing had a mistake on the first one and gladly re-airbushed the shirt which was very nice of him. So I only drop one star due to price.

Boycott Alvins island untill they give employees liveable wages.

I been in this shop one week ago. Both swimming top. The next day come back to exchange for bigger size. Manager refused to help me. She sad it’s final sell. I did not ask to give my money back, just exchange size . She just rood yang long heir lady. The guy try to help me was shot up by her. Horrible attitude, don’t respect costumers. Shame of you people.

Good prices on good merchandise. Better than Walmart.Limited selection of 3X and 4X but at least they have a few.Clearance items are always small and medium which shows they over stock those sizes.

Decent gift shop

Nothing special. Lots of crud made in china. Not really supporting Destin. And the deals are nothing special. It says 50% off, but only on a very small amount of stuff.

Great quality t-shirts and sweatshirts. Prices were good too. We entered the store a little after 8PM having seen online that Alvins closed at 10. We looked around for awhile and the two ladies working kept making announcements about closing at 9. We asked and they said that November is the slow season so we close early at 9:00. We went up to pay at 8:45 and the ladies couldnt get us out of there fast enough! There were others in the store. One lady locked the doors before they checked us out and then promptly ushered us out after we paid. It was a fun store to look around in but no one was friendly at all. We felt rushed and not free to just look. I was shocked by this lack of hospitality since tourism is the reason these people have jobs at all!!

Horrible most employees don’t speak English and the employees were very rude to customers and wouldn’t give me my moms money back after getting them off a 2 dollar rack they made her pay about 33 dollars they literally stood there arguing with my parents from anywhere to 30-1hr then called there manager over and took my moms receipt and threw it behind the counter and started throwing their shirts and stuff too. I do not want anyone getting scammed like this so I do not recommend. (This was their night shift)

I was staying at one of the close by hotels. Walking by this location to get something to eat. As I passed. Three employees at this location who were standing around doing nothing with the back door open. Walk up to me. One of which pulls out a folding knife and threaten me, claiming Im walking on private property and to never come back.I dont know who taught employees, but this is a major threat to someones life.

I bought 4 shirts from here, 2 of them had the security tags on them and when I went back to get it taken off, they wouldn’t take it off then refused to give me the shirts back and were trying to say they were stolen. It’s almost like they did it on purpose to scam people

When we went here three years ago, you could buy cute t-shirts that would hold up fairly well. I dont know if they changed manufacturers or what, but after two washes, the decals on all of ours began to peel and crumple of the shirts we purchased this past summer. And I wash everything on cold, gentle cycle and dry on low heat.Its great to get cute t-shirts at a cheap price, but whats the point if they dont last past two washes?Alvins Island needs to look at who they are purchasing from. Ill be going somewhere else to get our annual beach trip t-shirts, even if they are a little more expensive.

Make sure when you check out the cashier puts the correct price for the items. I bought two items. On the items it was marked 7.99. Well she entered 9.99. Yes I went back in and got my 4.00 and something. Just pay attention when they check out your stuff. Because they know you are a tourist . They Jack the prices up. You can go into west marine or bass pro shop and get the same item for 5.00-10.00 cheaper. I told the girl it was 7.99 but she still put 9.99. No I was not happy . I had to walk right back in to get my .

Standard selection of souvenirs and Destin memorabilia. Some good clearance deals upstairs. However, there is outstanding customer service and absolutely top notch airbrushing and t-shirt pressing. Amazing art! These people were great. Not all these places are the same.

Nice selection decent prices. Skimpy on plus size selection despite what their sign says also advertises free beach bag with 50 dollar purchase but staff said that they dont do that out of season. Staff was rude in general and not helpful.

Good prices but you can find the same stuff around other places in the area.

The dead baby sharks for sale was a huge turn off for me. No clothes for sale to fit bigger sizes. (I just had a baby) A lot of the items they had for sale were also available for sale at the giftshop in our condo. The Gulfarium, and the majority of the other shops we visited. Since there was no originality to the store, I would much rather purchase items from a store of the same caliber, that DOES NOT sell dead animals.

The place is okay. It definetly has a lot of items to buy and multiple selections of each of those items. The one downside is the cashiers are really slow and dont speak loud and clear which can get annoying if you have other things to do. Other than that its got a lot of good stuff to buy.

Most of the staff was nice but, the girl in in the henna and mermaid hair booth was very mean to my niece. My niece wabted to get a mermaid hair on her but the lady told her she doesnt do that. Later on the same trip she does it for another girl and my niece was so upset; she really wanted one too. I dont know if it was a racial issue or not since my niece is hispanic and the other girl was white but i thought our money had rhe same value. But the rest of the store was welcoming.

There are several souvenir shops along the highway but this one had the best selection out of them all.

Visited this store today and they did not have a single item from any of the name brands that are all over the outside of the building. Waste of time stopping when you don’t carry anything that you’re advertising!

My daughter is a puss and didnt introduce herself to dude she thought was hot. But Alvins was the bomb!

Most disgusting restroom Ive ever seen in a store. Theres poop on the floor and on the base of the toilet. No paper towels, no soap, no changing station for infants/toddlers, hair and urine in the urinal, and I had to go to the restaurant next door just to wash my hands and my daughters hands. Absolutely disgusting.

Bought Salt Water Taffy there so old you could not bite it so glad I didnt give it to anyone else. We were over charged on our items but there put it back on our card after my husband caught the mistake.
