I started going to Caliente Springs when I owned an RV in the early 2000s. This 55 and better resort was great then and it’s great now. Personally I love the mineral pools and spas and there are many activities to keep seniors busy. The resort is always very clean and well maintained. I no longer have the RV so I rent a park model when I go, which are very clean and have enough incidentals to last for a week or so. Bonus is that this location is closer to Joshua Tree and not as congested as the valley. Highly recommended!

This is a very nice Rv Park in Desert Hot Springs California not far from Palm Springs. It has 4 outdoor hot tubs and 1 inside hot tub. It has a very nice swimming pool area. The only reason I give it a rating of 3 instead of 5 is because they play volleyball in the pool here every day except Sunday. And I can’t stand the loud noise they make while playing. The players hoot and holler while playing. I come here to relax in the pool and the hot tubs and it’s not very relaxing while they play.Another thing that is annoying about the place is that there’s no one on night or weekend duty here. They should have a camp host that you can take any problem to.

This is a wonderful place. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The pool was big and partly shaded. Very clean. Although a lot of activities are not happening right now, everyone is making the best of it. The pool is a perfect temperature and there are 4 hot tubs at different temps. Believe it or not when you get out of the pool the air feels chilly even when its 110 degrees! So the hot tubs feel good! We are coming back for sure. :)

Caliente Springs Resort is great. Nice sites! We stayed in #204, which I think is a great spot. The Hot Spring fed pools and tubs are really neat and feel great. We didnt have time for golf, but did talk to many of the residents and renters, nice folks. No issues with our dogs. Also we got the soon to be spring special discount which made this great spot a real bargain too. Finally, Jamie in the office was very helpful, welcoming and nice. He is a great representative!

We were traveling in So Cal in our RV from the PNW and wanted to spend a few days in the sun. Friends recommended Caliente Springs & found they had a January Manager’s special discount, so we reserved 4 days there. We were pleasantly surprised! This is a super clean, extremely friendly resort. The park itself is attractively arranged around a small golf course, decorative & swimming pools & palm trees. The RV sites are scattered amongst neatly kept park models . Even the laundry room was gorgeous with brand new machines that take credit cards - no quarters required! We’ll stay longer next time!

My wife and I went to Desert Hot Springs and stayed at Caliente Springs Resort for four (4) weeks, 1/12-2/12/20 in one of the park models that are available to rent (pet friendly). The reason for our trip was to travel the area and look at properties in CA/AZ to return to later this year for the full winter season. The resort met and exceeded all of our expectations. The mineral spring pools/hot tubs, pickle ball courts...frankly all of the facilities were great. All of the staff were helpful and friendly, with suggestions on local attractions to visit. The other residents, permanent and visitors were all friendly and welcoming. The desert is out the gate and has more than enough terrain for all levels of hiking. It is a 55 and better resort and you can stay as busy as you want or enjoy plenty of down time in the mineral pools. Easy drives to Palm Springs, Borrego Springs, Joshua Tree Park,to many others to many to list, can keep you in awe of the desert and on the go.Our original plan was to head to AZ after our visit here to check out other places to spend our time, but after one week and seeing how much we both enjoyed it, we have already booked for next season for a full six (6) months in our motor home. So...if you want a place to enjoy yourselves, Caliente Springs is it.

Great mineral pools; shame about the stealing. We’ve stayed in this resort for several years, and every year we hear more and more stories about the theft that runs rampant throughout the park. Bikes, furniture, grills, propane tanks, even golf carts get stolen on a regular basis—even when they are locked up, chained up, and keys removed. Theft happens at night, during the day, even when guests are simply down at the clubhouse & pools. The management refuses to do anything about it, even going so far as to refuse to consider any mitigation, from a guard at the gate to a simple camera on the front gate (which is rarely locked, and even when it is, it’s easy to simply follow someone in). So come for the pools, but keep everything locked *inside* your rig.

We stayed for a week using our passport America card. Wanted to stay longer but price was doubling. Loved our spot 369 as it was right across from laundry/pool area. Spot was good size and pull through. Pool and hot tub area was nicely layout and clean. Did not like that dog park was outside gated area. Also the large dog run was on other side of garbage area so there was broken glass every where and not very pleasant looking area. People need to clean up after their dogs. Had to poop scoop several times at dog park and at our site too.

Stayed here when I found a very good priced unit on Airbnb. Have met a bunch of very cool people here. It is a 55+ only community, so it is very quiet and everyone I have met here is very kind, wise, and respectful. The amenities are excellent. Mineral springs pools and hot tubs. Billiards, pickleball, golf, and lots of other things. There were no extra costs. All amenities were included with our stay. Lots of retirees , and RVers and the views are probably some of the best in Palm Desert. It is 10-15 minute drive from being right in the middle of Palm Springs. Fruit stands were set up outside of the community here, and its the best fruit I have ever had. It is dog friendly, with multiple pet areas. I sit on the porch in the mornings and watch the pond. Hummingbirds, butterflies, rabbits, koi fish, turtles, Ravens, Quail, and lots of ducks just doing their thing. It is very peaceful.

My husband and I have enjoyed an extended stay. We originally booked a week and added another 10 days. The price is incredible for all of the amenities. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. From the day we came to scout out the resort, to check in, to help with getting propane service. While we are not staying for the season, we were welcomed to participate in any of the ongoing activities. We enjoyed the library book exchange, many hours quietly reading by the pool, the mineral spring hot tubs, free coffee in the office and joining in with the afternoon waterball group. To everyone involved please know your hospitality was exceptional and greatly appreciated.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and not had a complaint. Its tacky but reasonably cheap and clean. But this time the day we arrived for the BNP tennis tournament it was cancelled due to covid19. I had 5 additional nights non-refundable and asked if they could make an exception in this case because it really was an act of nature and humanitarian health crisis. They made it clear they cared only about the money, they lied to me over and over, blamed hotels.com as well as each other for their lies. I will never stay here again. I truly hope they go out of business.

This is a poorly run resort, ponds are gross, dying fish due to improper filtration. Cleaning ponds with bleach killing all the fish. People walking Dogs on golf course not picking up their poo. Office is closed majority of time. Management on vacation while resort is without power for 19 hours.Majority of RV sites are bare with run down stations for power, water and sewer. Unfortunately we have very little nice things to say about our stay at this resort. Our first and consecutive pool experiences were appalling. Persons with open wounds and bandages in the pool and tubs! Bandages falling off and lying at the bottoms of the pools. I stopped going in.10 days of our visit we obly had our antenna because there was know one available to put a cable box at our site. We made this reservation six months in advance! They knew we were coming! When they finally did arrive we learned that if you have multiple TVs in your rig you could only get one channel on all the TVs at the same time! Beyond ridiculous! They had a huge tree cutting project going on right next to us for a week. The noise was atrocious and the dust got all over everything including us! I have severe allergies!Desert Hot Springs itself is a dreck town. Litter everywhere. Grocery stores are old and have terrible choices for meat and produce, plus expensive for their poor offerings! We were told never to go in town at night because of gangs and crime! So we looked up crime in this area and its the number #1 crime area in the nation people!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!They have a fitness session in the pool to a recording that a resident told me hasnt changed for twenty years! My guys how much does it really cost to buy a few new CDs on water exercise! The laundry machines are small so you pay double bc you have to use more machines.Dogs constantly barking in the neighboring parcel. All hours, everyday. On Saturday night, if youre on the west side of the resort; the same the parcel next to us usually begins a drunk loud party at 10pm and it goes on for hours. The manager shrugged his shoulders and said theres nothing he can do about it because they are not part of the resort. It’s maddening! In addition, if you reside along the fence on the west side of the area you will be entertained by racing motorcycles and atvs. Im talking about from 11pm till after midnight. The noise is never ending!!! The neighbor we had put beside us had non stop barking dogs. Then a notice was posted that the hot water and dryers at the laundry were gonna be out for a week! The place has posted quiet hours but know one abides.Beware of all the flies!!!When our cable went out, they say theyll put you on a list that might be a weeks wait to fix!People dont obey the 10 mph and go flying through the streets. The place is dirty, in the length of our stay, not once did anyone vacuum the floors in the Atrium, ping pong room or billiards. Never dusted or straightened up. The pool chairs and lounges all over the place! This place is a resort? Bathroom tissue and towels always out. The cups and cream always out in the Atrium. I truly fear how dirty the floors are in the locker rooms and in the showers there. Can we say athlete’s foot people! The area next to our site doesnt have hook ups so guests bring their games, dogs, chairs and music on Sunday at 11am and play for 2 hours.Learned from another guest that credit card machine for the laundry was stolen off the Wall! Hello identity theft! Why don’t they have better security! I’ve heard many residents tell tales of the things that have been stolen around the place. Watch your personal belongings! This has been one of the worst places weve ever stayed since rving! So we decided to cut short our stay.So when we did, to add to our grief they tried to up the agreed amount of the monthly rent they quoted me in my original reservation we made 6 months prior to our arrival. Upon arrival knowone said anything about it going up. They made us wait a week after we left there for our refund of 2 months rent! This place makes you pay in full your entire stay with them so keep that in mind when you reserve! Also, we left having a laundry card with money on it and till this day which is 2 months later, the laundry company Caliente told us to deal with in getting our funds back has not refunded us. Just a terrible terrible experience!! Ugh.

The RV spots are huge but dont expect a picnic table, fire ring, or privacy barrier. My only grips are the WIFI, which was very weak and kept dropping me, and the trash situation. They have one trash container for the entire park, way out by the front gate. On the days I was there it was overflowing.
