Such a fun park. They just put down fresh mulch at the playground so its super soft when the kids go wild. There is a beautiful creek that runs through and a giant swing set. The highlight is the giant slide made to look like someone sleeping. Few downsides people do not clean up after themselves and there can be trash. And bike riders go crazy fast along bear creek trail so you have to keep the kids away from that path.

Its a beautiful park with lots to do with lots of open space. My family and I go there to enjoy the trails. It may not be the mountains but its a beautiful park in the middle of a city. My only complaint would be the trash. Many people liter all over the place. Pictured is a cool snake I saw in a tree at the park. If you like nature walks but cant go to the mountains this is a beautiful place.

Very nice trails. Very convenient to englewood and lakewood areas. Some parts are a little dirty and have a couple of homeless camps. The kids park looks nice

Great price. Way too over populated at times - afternoons are less busy. I wish they would allow tree hammocks! Sometimes they enforce the life vest requirement to be on the water. Staff has ALWAYS been polite. The site is always clean - please help KEEP it that way. There are bathrooms, picnic tables, concessions sale, and rentable water equipment. Recommend!

Love this park! It doesnt seem very big but it stretches along a narrow part of the river. The trail is busy but the scenery makes it relaxing and worth the walk. Best part is putting your feet in the water and instantly cooling off when its hot outside. I definitely recommend checking this park out. its very beautiful and pretty well kept.

The park it’s self is pretty, but there is a grouchy old mower man who says we can’t hammock. There is no rules posted anywhere (online or in park) that says we cannot hammock. We have hammocked here several times and we have never been harassed like that. A community service officer saw us hammocking and saw nothing wrong with it.

I grew up going to this park and its still a nice park. But I got to even with all the brand new updates to the playground theres still some creepy vibes in that park. I grew up in Bear valley and I moved to North Denver and we recently went back down there with her baby. The swings are still kind of dirty although not covered in graffiti which I was very proud of. Good job Bear valley Park keepers! but its the same bathrooms they had over 40 years ago and probably even older. Probably updating the bathrooms from the 60s might be a good idea definitely creepy! But the park is definitely made some great improvements and Id love for it to continue.

Nice place to camp if you want something close to the metro area. There are no trees in the campground though it does have electricity and pay showers, $1.75 gets you 8 minutes which is nice but you can get a shower for $1.00. Plenty of trails, a reservoir to boat and fish in and some quiet and peace from the city.

Just have to be proactive and remind certain people of the rules here and be vigilant, some teenagers like to go here with guns

Bear Creek Park aka the hat park to the locals is a wonderful place to take a nature walk, enjoy the Platte River as it Cascades through rocks under 3 really neat bridges or ride your scooter or bike. My daughter and I enjoyed walking through the tall grass on man made mini trails. The landscape was plush and super green. The park was clean of debris with exception of a few strange items such as a sterile strip package under the bridge but, overall we enjoyed the scenery. Tons of scooters and the usual bikers taking an evening ride, inhaling the evenings fresh air, with of course a hint of the Platte River. Traffic from 285 was at a minimum therefore, we were able to hear birds in the background with an occasional tune from a few families having a picnic. Overall I would highly recommend the park to anyone looking to break up the monotony of the usual around the block neighborhood walk.

Well its a bit disappointing. My motto is you never get a second chance at a first impression. Well walking through the park in the you cannot even breathe. You have to put the shirt over your mouth and nose in order to breathe so you dont have a lung swell looks insects. Hopefully the city of Sheraton will be proactive and getting these mosquitoes insects under control. After all thats what I text dollars are paying for is it not?

The playground is nice, and this place is definitely a bit with families during the summer. It can seem a bit crowded with people having picnics or grilling. Spring is definitely my more preferred time to visit. Much quieter. If youre into pokèmon go, there are pokestops and gyms. If youre into Wizards United there are lots of inns and houses set to drop lots of energy.

Nice park. Not overly crowded whatsoever. Great place to take your dog(s) for a walk, or to go for a run yourself. Bear Creak runs right near there, although I would NOT recommend fishing. If you can find a nice area in the water and have a dog that likes to swim, thats awesome. Picnic with the kids, games, etc. Great place to go.

Beautiful park. Bear Creek runs through it. Hence the name, Bear Creek Park. You can ride from the light rail on the Bear Creek path all the way to Morrison and beyond. Excellent ride. Banked turns that are really fun when youre flying. No kidding. They dont pour concrete at these angles by chance. This was done purposely. So much fun. See you there. JS
