I love the Bug Theater! Local theater at its finest. Everything I’ve seen performed here is fantastic, I like that it’s small and local. There are concessions with wine and beer and snacks. Right around some really nice places to grab a drink too. Go to the Bug! Support local theater!

Just watched Tuna and the Rock Cats. A purple tour bus was parked in front with over a dozen cats in costume. There was a band. A drummer, guitarist, someone playing the tamborine, and one on cow bell. Musicians were all played by cats. It was all one could ask for in a cat band. Venue was dark and appropriate for this style of entertainment.

Awesome and intimate, artist driven and focused. We need more people like Alex and establishments like The Bug in our lives. Go to the next show theyre hosting, regardless of your familiarity, and enjoy a one of a kind experience in a city that is moving way too fast!

My husband and I love this theatre. Their shows are modern and patronage much younger than many of the other local theatre and theatre companies we attend. Their actors are great and refreshing. Wish the seats had a little more shoulder room, but the venue and stage are otherwise in a great set-up and they make great use of them. Dont just go once, get a season pass because youll want to keep coming back!

The Bug is a Denver classic. Tucked in what used to be the citys premier alternative art district, the Bug had survived gentrification and general Mile High mailaise around the arts. That alone is enought to patronize this former local movie house turned live theater. From random theater to alt comedy, the Bug never fails to charm. Whatever the event, you will love it more tucked into this local gem.

A smaller regional theater with good acoustics, a snack bar that serves beer, and first come first served seating (so come early, otherwise uncomfortable hotel chairs await). The trio of restrooms can kind of handle the intermission crowd. While there is free parking on the streets its hard to get, the cash only lot kitty corner was $5. Saw Sweeney Todd musical and was impressed by the Equinox troupe.

Great show Heathers the Musical. It is a small venue with a drink and snack bar. At intermission bolt to the restrooms or you may have a long wait. We went to the restaurant across the street and grabbed a drink at the bar and used their restroom. It was a bit stuffy/warm in the venue - dress appropriately. Still a great night out.

Another one of Denvers little gems, this cozy theater has all the fixings (popcorn, candy, etc) for a fun time. Many independent films and festivals are shone here for mere pennies!!! And they usually have a craft beer sponsor offering freebies!! You wont be sorry by spending time here.

Ive seen 3 shows here and on my way to my fourth tonight. The writing, music, acting, singing, casting, sets are over the top. Im fortunate to have a friend whos a member who takes me regularly and I cant recall an evening yet I didnt thoroughly enjoy myself. The theater itself is comfortable, clean, centrally located and perfectly situated in an area which is easily walkable and offers an almost unlimited array of places to eat and/or drink both before and after the show. Concessions stand offers a nice selection of treats both sinful and not-too-unhealthy for reasonable prices. Friendly, helpful staff. Parking is on the street but weve never had a problem finding a spot within a couple of blocks. The neighborhood is funky and fun, the views of the city lights are amazing (ifyoure lucky enough to be the passenger on the drive up). Im seriously considering my own membership should my friend ever decide to give his up. I couldnt recommend the Bug theater more highly as a venue for a rollicking good time.

A great local theatre! This form of live entertainment has been a staple of human societies around the world for literally thousands of years. What a great place! Quaint, lively, full of fun and friendly atmosphere. We always check to see whats happening at the Bug!!! During intermission you can chat with the performers if you walk outside and go around the corner to the north and back to the backside of the building where they are outside taking a break. Just a fun time, and they have a great selection of adult beverages to enjoy also.

Nice little neighborhood venue, built in the early 1900s. About 18 rows, each with about 11 seats. Its a bit shabby (because its old), but immaculately clean. Everything, including the bathrooms, was clean. The refreshment stand was decently stocked, and reasonably priced. Well look forward to coming here for other shows.

Such potential but cheap laughsCorrection: oh! Noooo. This one star review was for the play, I love you, now change. Great actors and play.... but leave politics out of it. Inclusivity? My big bad and I apologize to the Bug.-->The theater review: Cozy and not a micro theater. Reminds me of a small town movie theater. Could see the stage and hear the actors clearly from 3/4 back. Seats are first come, first seated.Really friendly staff, great variety of movie style boxed snacks and drinks. Beer and box wine thoughtfully selected.Street parking insane as the theater is in the middle of residential area. So dark at night. Plan on adding $5 for parking in the lot across the street to your visit. Spot Hero or bring a fiver. One restroom per sex (lines). One suggestion: add another snack person when house is packed.Another suggestion: Bring your ticket. My Gold Star purchase wasnt logged. They took my word for it (wow!) but I was able to pull up my purchase later on phone.
