This studio is SUCH a gem! I’ve been to a few events there. I’ve seen a night of short clips from their film production “Small Town Remedies,” an improv night, and a graduation of the Meisner students last year. I can not express how unique and talented these students and actors are! No wonder many of the greatest actors of our time come from this teaching! Highly recommend!

My first artist priority when I got to the area was trying out every studio. After a lot of research, I signed up for a two-year program here site unseen.Having acted for six years, Im well aware of the many various techniques out there. Plus, Ive been fortunate to have a lot of outstanding coaches. So, I tend to be extremely skeptical regarding studios- especially in the Midwest.When I talked to Lea the first time, there was no pressure to sign up. If anything, I felt like there was more pressure to sit back and really consider what I was dedicating two years of my life to.One thing I knew, the other local studios I had tried were definitely not the right fit. And, I needed a place to develop my craft. So, I decided I was just going to do it! I was going to take the plunge, step out in faith, commit two years to it!Sometimes decisions like these turn out for the worst. In this case, this has been one of the top three best decisions I have made in my entire artist life.Lea is a magnificent teacher in every way. She has an extremely gifted eye that can quickly discern between a performer who is acting and a performer who is living truthfully within the given circumstances. Surprisingly, that is incredibly rare- even in LA and New York.Greater still, she doesnt provide obscure or vain answers for how to improve. There is a clear pathway. If somebody puts in the work and listens to her guidance, they will absolutely get much better. No question about it.Its not an easy class and its certainly not for the faint of heart. You will undoubtedly discover truth about yourself that you had never considered before. Some beautiful, some terrifying, some sobering, and some profound. Rest assured, your perspective about acting and the life will be changed.Thats why we create life on film sets and stages though, isnt it?We want to share in the greatest experience of all: feeling. This Lea Marlene Studio is an amazing place for everyone to experience for themselves . Powerful acting in a small stage. I hope there will be more freguent plays in this place .Sam
