Such a fun event!! Lots to do - explore the art galleries and find something to add to your collection, listen to live music, grab something to eat from one of the many food trucks, or people watch. Some sections of the road are closed off and it feels like a block party. You can find free parking on some of the side streets nearby. Its rain or shine which is a bummer during the winter months as I would imagine the snow impacts the turnout. Coming back every month always yields something new to discover!

This is a great way to spend a Friday night! Whether youre into having some drinks and strolling in and out of the art galleries just to look, or if you are a serious art collector... There are some incredibly talented artists, fun music, good people watching, and a plethora of food trucks to choose from. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because parking in the area is a nightmare on this particular night! ( meaning, its nearly impossible to find a parking spot). , awesome event!

A wonderful showcase of local Denver artists with new works to check out each month. Be sure to check out The Veterans Arts Council at VFW Post 1, they are doing awesome work in the community. A great way to shop and support local all year long!

Fun night out. Tons of interesting art, vendors, and music. Big enough, you can take a nice couple hours walking the whole street. Would recommend for anyone thinking about or on the fence.

The art walk was just okay.It would be much improved if there were more diversity in the various artists’ work.As it is, virtually every single artists’ work looks pretty much exactly the same. It’s almost as if they all copied one and other. While I enjoyed the atmosphere and the spirit of the art walk I found a majority of actual artwork to be sorely lacking in diversity of styles. So much so that I became bored and left earlier than I had planned to and had dinner elsewhere.I had planned on making an entire night of it and enjoying drinks and dinner at the art walk.To sum it up, imagine going to an art museum where every single gallery basically had the same type and style of artwork. That is what I felt about this art walk.I’m still giving them 3 stars because I believe in the spirit of what they are trying to accomplish and I hope that more artists will be drawn to the art walk and create more diversity of styles.

This event has gotten more and more crowded as of late, but for good reason. Its fun how you can walk through live studios and talk with different artists. The food trucks are always popular as well. Its definitely more enjoyable for younger crowds at this point. But anyone who enjoys a good art show will have a good time.

Too crowded to be enough time to truly enjoy the art, too commercial in general, seemed like too many people were on something (not simply high) for an event that included a significant number of children. Worth going to once, but if I was really interested in any pieces, I would 100% AVOID going during first Friday.

I love the tradition of First Friday here in Denver! I also loved this little shop featuring designer Carol Meir. Her fashion is outstanding!I love this silk robe/kimona, and felt its vibe so appropriate as her space is near the Mariposa neighborhood!I look forward to adding her collection to my closet!! Cant wait to take some of her amazing finds home!

The city of Denver needs to shut the roads down for this event! Too many people for the sidewalks only. Not particularly safe and difficult for street vendors to have much space, it at all.
