This place is awesome. There is so many things for the kids to do for adults to do. We were amazed on how many exhibits they had and what type of things they had and we were able to do. We spent a whole day there and we had a blast. Theres things for small kids to do and even our older kids they found things to do. We loved how they had exhibits inside and outside. This really is a great place to come. If youre in Denver and youre looking for something to do I really recommend stopping here for a day. We did the city pass so it was really affordable for a family of five.

Used to love this place, but now with nearly everything closed its really not worth it. The few places that were open were still way too crowded, and there simply wasn’t enough open to make it worth paying what we did. I also felt that the people working did not interact much or go out of their way to be helpful while we were there. I hope they are able to survive covid, but don’t think the current set up is working well.

The whole staff have radios to communicate. Very good idea! Heres my advice. Bring towels and swim gear and extra clothes. They provide lockers and places to park your stroller. Without a doubt one of the best experiences my children have had visiting a museum. It took no time for my 5yr or 18 month old to be fully engulfed in the exhibits. All of which are hands on! I chose to do one day admission when we walked in, but they allow you to upgrade to family membership prior to leaving which makes this a huge savings if you return 2 additional times in a year. My 5 yr old loves the functional fire truck ( pretend driving ) with fireman’s hat and all. Great job to the staff as they are everywhere offering help!If helpful please like

We love the Denver Childrens Museum! There are many different exhibit areas as well as an outdoor play area. The inside exhibits include a bubble room, kinetic energy area, recycle area where kids can make crafts with recycled materials, a store/kitchen area, underground area where kids can explore under ground like a worm, and many more. Outdoor activities include a sand pit, a river that kids can cool off in, a zip line and outdoor seating for picnics. They offer cooking and art classes as well as story time. The staff are all amazing and they keep the museum very clean. You can bring your own picnic lunch or there is a small marketplace where healthy snacks can be purchased. This is a very popular place for families so parking fills up fast. I recommend going as early as possible.

Excellent children’s museum- and we have been to dozens and dozens! The things that really make this museum stand out from others are 1. Adventure Forest- it’s like you fall inside a piece of artwork and physically go on the adventure that was happening in the artist’s head. This, alone, is worth the price of admission. (Must be 5yo or 44”) 2. Teaching Kitchen- quick, easy, fun cooking classes for all ages! Just sign up the day you visit. 3. Workshop- kids love getting their hands on actual tools and finding out what they can do. The self-contained stations allow families to work independently without checking tools out from a staff member or waiting for a turn with a tool or making too much of a chaotic mess. Supervision obviously important here. 4. The art studio has unique features like real clay, chalk paint, and the opportunity to paint large sculptures that stay in the studio.

We used to come here when I was little...in the late 80s before the population of Denver exploded...so I was really excited to take my 20 month old daughter. It was fun, and there were some great exhibits (she *loved* the water and the bubbles), but there is a serious lack of oversight here, both by parents and the staff. Yes, it was crowded, but in and of itself, thats not really an issue. Even on the exhibits specifically for smaller children, one marked for kids 40 and under, and the Center for the Small Child, my daughter (who is about the size of a 12 month old) was getting run into and having toys taken away from her by kids who had to be 12+, and were as big as me, while the parents did nothing. If my kid gets knocked over or run into by another kid her age in a small child room, I get it. If its by a 12 year old, in an exhibit for small kids, while the parent is nowhere to be found, then I have a problem. I think it would be well worth their cost to have a staff member at each exhibit just to make sure people arent being jerks...its sad that such a thing is even necessary, but it would go a long way in ensuring that everyone enjoys their experience.

This is one of the best places in the area for families to spend a fun day. We have lived in the Denver area for four years and have purchased a membership each year. It can be a bit crowded sometimes, but my autistic child has never been overwhelmed by the amount of people, no matter what day/time we go. There are so many different areas to explore that you can always just move on to one that it is a little less crowded. Everything is hands on and fuels learning by experimentation and/or imaginative play. The art center, water room, and bubbles are always favorites of ours. I used to love going to this place with my grandchildren but on the last 3 years it has been a frustrating experience every time we go. It is ALWAYS too crowded and nobody actually gets to play. A child starts playing with something and there is already a line with 5 other kids waiting to play with that same toy and rushing the child with toy saying “my turn now”. Trick or Treat Street Review:I am making this review in regards to the Halloween festivities, because I could not find very many reviews for this or info unless I had to read somebodys blog. You will get neon bracelets for each member of your family upon entering after you pay. Do not loose these. This allows all day access! (If you must leave for lunch, but I advise Bri lunch and leave in car and have lunch at park then you can still get back in!)Please know that they do ask that you DO NOT bring strollers to this event. (However, next to the vet area on 2nd floor they do offer safe stroller parking in a private room with a staff member to watch door while you roam the museum) so they really try to let parents know to NOT bring strollers throughout the museum because of the crowd. And i agree, its difficult getting around people and there large strollers! Children cannot wear masks or capes with their costumes, or accessories. They DO provide trick or treat bags for your children. The trolly is $2 per person regardless of age , and CASH ONLY. Trolly goes till 5pm, and they do have a spot for a wheelchair and a ramp to get on which is good for our family. There are games for TODDLERS outside as well as about 4-5 trick-or-treat stands outside and about 5 or 6 on the inside throughout the museum.some actually hand out candy others are handing out juice box or healthy granola bars.it is not as busy as one would think especially because children are wanting to move from space to space and be outside to play the games. (About 5 toddler friendly games this year, all free)Admission is a little pricey, but if you have the SNAP benefits it will only cost you $1 per adult & child. Parking is $5 per car. Members parking is free. and parking is busy but because people are continuing to leave, spots open up pretty quick.I would say the age group for this specific event so your kids will enjoy it would range from infant to 7-8 years old, any older they will be bored.Over all a great place to take children from infant -5 years old for sure! The plus is that its safe they still have fun and they dont have to walk long distances to get candy and still playing and having a good time!My advice- wear cozy shoes, dont wear big bulky or hot costumes. Bring a back pack to carry stuff, bring extra clothes for your kids when they are tired of wearing the costume or get soaked in the water part inside or out. Check the weather before hand. Watch your kiddos please! And as a parent be sure youre ready to carry all your kids stuff costume, candy bag, water bottle ect! (Bring a backpack people! Not a stroller!)also made a little advice from a wife of a husband who is in a wheelchair please look out for people around you before taking steps are allowing your children to run in front of people!! It helps allot for elderly ir disabled!Have a blast and dress light, it gets hot inside quickly with so many people!

The stations were well stocked so there wasnt one thing that we had to bypass because no supplies. There were plenty of workers to help out if had any questions.

We didnt know the outdoor activities close down if its too hot so our kiddos didnt get to experience it on our first visit. We were advised to call ahead in the future. Just an fyi to parents. They will also close it down if theres a chance of lightning. It will get really crowded for the indoor activities. If thats the case, it will require a ton of patience, parents. *Sigh*Shot out to Keith for allowing us to experience another chance at a future visit.I like that there is a limit to how many kids can do the outdoor experience but thats not the case inside so you might get nipped in the heels by strollers and not all parents teach their kids to share and take turns. Wish there were more employees or museum volunteers who moderated this because some kids get pushed out of the way from more aggressive kids whose parents DO NOT CARE to teach their kids to share and be nice. *Sigh again*I have to wholeheartedly agree with other reviewers who noted how chaotic this place is and how the only place there was any staff support and supervision is the climbing structure inside.

There is so much to see and do here! The overview says people typically spend 2 hours or so here, but if your children have never been, plan all day. This is must do for kiddos. There is a bubble room, kinetics, water room, a teaching kitchen (kids really get to cook a simple recipe), a sandpile outside, zip line, and so much more. This will wear you child out. Plus the trolley stops outside.

It had been almost 10 years since I last visited, and there have been several changes since then. It seems I saw more employees around in the exhibits this time and things seemed like they were kept up better than they were on my previous visit. There are several options for exhibits, so no matter your kids ages or what theyre interested in, theyre likely to find something theyll enjoy. We spent about 3 hours there and that was a good amount of time to try several exhibits. I could see people spend longer though. Theres plenty of accommodations available for restrooms, feeding babies, getting food or packing your own to eat. I look forward to seeing more of what there is to play with in Joy Park as it gets warmer.

We have a membership and my young kids love playing here! The fire truck, ball section, and outside water and sand areas are favorites. It’s almost always packed, though, especially during the week with school groups. You can see field trip numbers on their website, though, which helps in planning to go or stay away.

The absolute best place to take your kids for a day of fun at any age. My toddler loves it. We have a membership and we drive down from Cheyenne. So worth it! Prices seem a little steep but you definitely get your money’s worth.

We came for my son’s third birthday. He had a blast!! So many activities. Really plays with the imagination and lets the children explore different worlds and elements. His favorite was the bubble lab. So many neat and cute things to do. Also appears to have some really neat new attractions on its way.
