Good wine selection and very helpful staff. Glad to see their gift shop reopened
Great atmosphere and great wine!
Great local attraction! Service is always wonderful and it’s very beautiful inside. This winery is actually one of the oldest in Texas. The wines there are personally too sweet for my taste but it is a good time and a great place to take a date or girlfriends. I brought my dad here when he came to visit and he enjoyed the wine tasting.
Great place to relax and unwind. As of Jan 2020, they have two new wines offered. The service is always nice and the outdoor seating makes for a lovely view.
Great Wine, Service and Atmosphere. Really a nice place to go sip some wine, buy some spreads, cheese and crackers. Great wine tasting prices. We do recommend.
Such a quaint, cozy little winery tucked into the wooded area of downtown Del Rio. I am new to town, so I just stopped in to check it out. I ended up doing a wine tasting ($5 for 5), and really enjoyed my time there. Abby (sp?) was working, and she was easy to talk to, super sweet, and very knowledgeable. I will definitely be back!
The tastings are fun and the vineyard is nice. The port is my favorite.
Friendly people. Laid back. Great wines and reasonable. Nice outdoor seating too.
Jillian was very knowledgeable and friendly....Enjoyed a glass of Tempranillo and Chardonnay. BOTH WERE lovely. Bought a bottle of their Tempranillo. Lovely experience and so historical
Wine tasting was great! Staff was very friendly. Wished we could have had a tour. Otherwise a great experience. Wine is fine as well.
Negative first time experience. Lady with shorter blonde hair working register was rude. A part of what makes an enjoyable experience is quality service. I did not feel appreciated and will not return.
Love the place. Wine is amazing, especially the port wine. I will be back.
A must see! Delicious wines and the ladies were very informative and knowledgeable.
Great wine at great prices with friendly and helpful staff.
Here is my standard disclaimer: I am not a wine dude by ANY means, and apparently, Im not a cheese aficionado either (scroll down if you want an explanation). This is a good place to go and get a glass of wine, purchase a bottle, or even do a wine tasting. I did the wine tasting, so my review is for that experience.Your best bet if you are doing a wine tasting is to stay in the front area near the register counter, if they are busy, they probably wont be able to leave the register for refills. Its $5 for 5 wines, or $10 for 10 wines. Keep in mind, this is a tasting, not drinking. You get about two sips out of each glass. They give you a sheet of paper with descriptions of all 10 wines, and if you are doing the 5 like I did, you select which ones you want to try. The server at the counter refills your glass when you are ready for the next sample and she explains each wine in detail. I know absolutely nothing about wine, so I cant comment on the quality, taste, etc.If you choose to hangout outside, there is at least one shaded table to sit at that overlooks their own vineyard. Some of the reviews had comments about whether you can keep the glass they give you, and I can tell you that as of May 2018, you do not get to keep the glass. The server told me this changed several years ago.Another thing I confirmed is that they do have cheese, crackers, dips/spreads, and bottled water for an extra cost. Now its time to explain how I discovered that Im not a cheese aficionado. The smoked gouda that I ordered was wrapped in a wax covering (like most cheeses I am told) and it was a light color, similar to the color of gouda. Well, me being the fool that I am, grabbed the plastic knife they gave me and proceeded to cut the cheese up and then took a bite with the wax wrapping and all. It actually wasnt bad. Dont worry folks, I Googled it later and found out that its safe to eat - Im not going to die, so you can all sleep tonight!
Wonderful time! Knowledgeable employee, great wines and very beautiful place!
Excellent small family business; quality wines and olive oil, at good price. Prices are comparable to grocery store but for a great local product.
This is the longest operating winery in Texas nested in a quiet spot on the border. Their Tawny Port is best port Ive ever had (had it on 4 continents).
Welcoming and knowledgeable staff. Quality wines with a good selection of sweet and dry, light and full bodied.
Best place with free wine in town. If youre in the wine club theres free tastings
Quaint place to visit. Friendly staff. Wish the samples were a little larger.
Oldest continuously running winery. Very interesting.
First found this wine in Central Texas while on vacation. Definitely a great wine and love supporting a winery from my birth town of Del Rio, Texas. Cheers!
Small winery, with amazing wines and an impressive history.
Quaint little winery. Worth the visit.
Great Wine and customer service
Delightful wine in a nice, comfortable setting.
The oldest winery in Texas is also the only winery within a 2 hour drive. For $10, you can sample all their wines!
Texass oldest winery
Best rosé hands down.
Cute girls
