Beautiful and well kept. Combined two of my favorite things: hiking and history.

Ive lived in the Dayton area all my life and Im not sure how I missed abandoned Argonne Forest Park. There are several attractions filled with history. Bring your imagination to step back in time. We actually danced on the old dance floor in the middle of the forest.

One of the areas best Metro Parks! Great variety of travel lengths and environments. Multiple ponds for fishing and shelters for gatherings.

Great park to camp, hike, fish and picnic. Will definitely go back. Hiking trails are perfectly marked. Park has a beautiful lake and farm too.

We love the working farm and fishing ponds at Possum Creek MetroPark. We always have a good time.

This is a well-kept park, great for hiking, fishing, picnics and even education!

This is my go- to spot when I need some time to disconnect. Its so peaceful, has a good mix of forest and open meadows, and its a great place for fishing.

Great place for hiking and family fun. Animals are out until around 3p and they have sheltered picnic areas.

Love that they stock Rainbow trout. You dont need a fishing license to fish. Great place to take kids.

Possum Creek is one of Five Rivers better metroparks. There is something for hikers, horse riders, and those who want to see a working farm. Apparently, the area used to be an amusement center many, many years ago and there are treasures along the trails with hings of the past (in the Argonne Forrest area). There are five ponds where fishing is popular - no permit required. Some are catch and keep, some are catch and release. The trails have both wooded and open areas with beautiful fields. Bring bug spray - horseflies are everywhere. Bring dry shoes/socks as many of the trails seem to have wet spots past which they struggle to get the mowers.

We did our 1 Love Family Reunion and had a great outside summer experience. It had been years since I was at possum creek and ot reminds me how long ago fishing and reading by the shore was the best part of a weekend getaway. This is a very good place to gather and BBQ with family and friends!

We rented a shelter on the farm for an informal baby shower. Everything was neat and clean when we arrived. The restrooms 50 feet away were clean as well. There were two grills and two trash cans, as well as nice picnic tables. The shelter was an easy walking distance from the parking lot. Everyone enjoyed visiting the animals as well. Thank You for helping us make this event a piece of cake!

Dont listen to these jackass people sayin theres nothing but minnows to catch there. They stock trout and catfish but thats not my style of fishing. Stop drowning worms and get you some quality minnow style lures and you will catch fish. If u wanna camp in one spot and pay lake style fish you prolly wont catch much of anything. All these fish were caught over a few day period and many more were caught and just not photographed. Be mobile and hit several spots around the lakes. And BTW you can only legally keep Trout and Catfish. And bass from the big Argonne lake. The wardens do check your coolers for legal fish, so I dont recommend you trying to leave with crappie. Not worth getting the fines or your fishing gear confiscated. Tight lines my friends. :-)

Wonderful and clearly marked trails for hiking. Possum creek is an amazing place for a family hike. It is full of history and beauty.

This is a beautiful peaceful place.

Very picturest, secluded from the other place, bathroom just needed more lite. Most important it was peaceful & serene. I had a great time.

Little shady getting there, but good park. Nice clean camping sites for groups like Scouts.

Wasted my money reserving a camp site. Not their fault it rained, but someone stole my wood I purchased. So expensive to not be secured. Hope the family that picnicked with my wood had a good time. You shouldve put out the fire when you left, though. Morons.

I have walked here a few times and always enjoyed the views. This last time it was right after the rain and took a new trail. When I say the mud was out of control. It was actually taking off my shoes. I had to walk through the brush to get through a few place. Honestly they should have closed that trail cause it rough.

Nicely marked paths. Well groomed. A bit of mud. Friendly critters guard your cars.

Extremely nice grounds. Many different paths with lengths to assist with any and everyones walking abilities. Great place to escape for a moment and enjoy what nature has to offer.

Excellent facility! Clean, well equipped, and private. Will use every year for family reunion picnic.

If you reserve a shelter, make sure to keep your papers handy, to show proof of the time you reserved it for.

Been going since i was 16 , my friend that is no longer with us took me there and ive loved fishing there every since, 40 now my kids love fishing there check it out for yourself bring the family and have a great time

Love coming here to fish! Lots of friendly people, great hiking trails. You can even bring your horses to ride! You dont need a fishing licence to fish here and you can still take 5 catfish or trout that you catch home! Great family place. You can even camp here.

I have taken two classes here hosted by the metro parks and this particular park is amazing! It is huge, it has so many things to do too. I really like this place.

We went fishing here today and caught about 5 blue gill! We had such a good time here. Please clean up your trash responsibility here!

Just went there with my daughters first grade class on a field trip they had a great time the land is very well maintained and the staff is very knowledgeable and great with children I would suggest this to any school or daycare for an activity or field trip

Our club The Buckeye Explorers have our memorial celebration there every year and the park is a very nice n clean place

We had a blast at our Animals for Small Acreage class! Loved the animals and people. Never knew theres a 15 ACRE lake you can kayak in and fish!

Its convenient to get to from the interstate. It has plenty of parking spots even when there are busses full of kids. The visitors center has restrooms.

I love possum Creek its great for fishing and open until 2am on Friday and Saturdays only

Great place for family picnics and outings THEY JUST NEED TO STOCK THE LAKES MORE AND GET ALL THE VEGETATION IN THEM CLEANED OUT AND THEY SHOULD SALE BAIT TO MAKE MONEY SO THEY CAN STOCK IT MORE IT COULD BE RAN BY VOLUNTEERS THEY COULD PUT UP A LITTLE SHACK THAT THEY COULD HAVE SOME REFRIGERATION UNITS AND LIVE WELLS FOR BAIT IT WOULD BE A MONEY MAKER BECAUSE THOSE ARE THE THINGS THAT PEOPLE I HAVE TALKED TO SAY WOULD BE NICE THERE

Great fishing, beautiful sunset. Could use a little more clean up but all the trash I saw laying about was biodegradable.

Nice park for trails or a picnic. There are also a couple barns with some animals. And historic buildings, as well as a wonderful helpful staff.

Possum creek is a great place to walk. The trails are not difficult. The prairies are beautiful. In fall a rare flower called fringed Gentian grows along the prairie trails.

Unless youre Fishing for fish that are recently stocked there are better places to fish. Dont really feel like sitting shoulder to shoulder with the regulars who sit there every other day. Other than that the park is fine. I do like that I dont need a Fishing license but I buy one every year anyway.

Nice, interesting trails, do not walk on the 2x4s when its wet, very slippery, could use more trail markers but if you download or have the paper map you will be fine, trails are pretty clear from brush

Its great for walking not crowded only a few if your lucky no one on trails. The kids area used to be better not so much for them any more. The farm is really neat the kids enjoy just to see the animals

This is a really nice park. The hiking trails are well marked and well maintained. The fishing ponds are stocked. I havent fished in them but there were alot of people fishing on the day I was there.

Great park with an excellent trail system. Free fishing and other family oriented amenities. Would have received five stars, but I found the bathrooms not up to par with other Five Rivers Metro Parks.

First time there for the family, love it, happy with the experience. Will def. take family there again, multiple times, happy with how we were treated while there, great location as well. Would def. recommend this park to anyone.

It was fun need to stay open longer

Very nice place to take the Metroparks classes. However it really needs illuminated signs! You have to drive ALL the way back to get to the education building.
