They deserve a 0 for customer service. I was trying to arrange a field trip for a class. No one answers the phone or returns messages. I have left at least 3. They also dont respond to emails.

Does anyone know if it is open? The website says they are closed for renovation. I have called multiple times and left messages. I never get a call back.

Awesome, especially if youve never been to a planetarium before--many people i know havent. Last time I went there it was $3.00, but the was 6 years ago; I think it costs $8.00 in 2018.They project the night sky on a curved dome, so with the lights out, it has the appearance of being out in the country; away from city lights. Then they tell a story using projected images on the dome.I recommend it at least once for those who have never been to a planetarium.

Great viewing of the stars on wed nights, though planetarium was closed for renovation. They have a lot of telescopes and a red light acclimation room before viewing, surprisingly not too much light pollution even though there’s a campus around it

I have been here twice, once 25 years ago, and once on a date with my wife last weekend. For some reason, it was way cooler 25 years ago ;). Buehler Planetarium has different shows at different times and date, so call ahead. Cash only entry for the 1 hour show (on the night and show we went $5/person). The show we saw was about Hubble. I am a big fan of the space sciences and must say, every one that saw the show agreed it was boring (except for the last 60 seconds). Four people were sleeping when the lights came on. It was mostly a slide show with little excitement and too many obscure factual details that went into unnecessarily long descriptions. The star projector wasnt even turned on once the entire time. There are about a dozen home made youtube videos about Hubble that are much better. Since it was Saturday, after the show, we walked outside to the observatory where they had about 6 nice telescopes set up. Now that was cool! We spent about 20 min looking at the planets and even saw Saturns rings and 4 of its moons. We will be back again for the free observatory, but sadly, not going back to the planetarium until I get reviews of the show first.
