Fun little Botanical Park that is great to visit during all seasons. There is a pond outside with a fountain as well and walkways. Theres also a cute little bridge walkway in the middle of nowhere which makes for great pictures. Would recommend for others to drop by and take a stroll outside and just enjoy the serenity of nature.

I see the new and old bridge. Thought it was cool and the dog park was pretty cool too.

Love this park to walk through. The playground is a great addition.i suggest a fence though. I was there for 45 min and in that time 3 kids ran away from parents to the open water. Just an extra safety measure will keep families coming back for sure

This is a very small, but lovely park. Theres a great rose garden with signage! Indoors are lots of plants from all over. The park itself, has a great tree-lined walkway to the fountain where you can sit and relax while watching the fountain go through its many iterations. We liked this park.

A beautiful place to spend an afternoon. The roses smell great and the fountains are beautiful. We didnt go inside but the outside area is lovely.

Vanderveer has always been my favorite park to go to they maintain it very well so glad they got the water fountain working again and the playground that the dream team finally got there is very awesome and when I useto take my kids there they always loved the duck pond would recommend that park to anybody

Absolutely a beautiful quick pit stop. Grounds are kept very clean, the duck pond was a huge hit with my children.

Beautiful park with many walking paths thru park..black squirrels run about- feed the ducks and geese in the large pond..also see turtles ...peaceful and tranquil. Many areas to sit and relax. Beautiful fountain for photo ops..changes many times and lights up at night! Highly recommended for relaxing or a great walk!

We love it here!!! The kids enjoy rock hunting from the local QC Rock group. It even inspired us to go home and paint rocks. They enjoy feeding the ducks/ chasing them. We have picnics when we go. The fountains are amazing and fun to splash in on a hot day. Great sunsets. Great place in general. nature

Beautiful landscaping, clean and well stocked with flowers and other botanical artifacts. Plenty of seating areas where you can just relax and enjoy some of the many beautiful things nature has to offer for no cost.

Vander Veer is a beautiful oasis in the middle of Davenport. I enjoy walking the park or running the perimeter in the evenings. They must spray for bugs because I am hardly ever touched by bugs, which is better than swallowing them along Duck Creek for evenings runs.

Beautiful, peaceful, I jave been going to this park for years. I have moved away since 2011, but whenever I am in the area I try to make time to visit. Great place to picnic, walk, or just watch the ducks and geese swim in the pond.

Took a lovely stroll with friends on a beautiful, crisp fall evening. A great place to decompress from lifes stresses.

Theres also a cute little bridge walkway in the middle of nowhere which makes for great pictures.

Very nice park, well cleaned and plenty of spots with shade to rest. Went there with some family and we all had a very nice time. My favorite spot is the large fountain. They have a small mini game you can play there called parkopoly, a spin of Monopoly. Was a very cool and unique addition to the park.

The sign talked about plants, but I only saw ducks. The ducks offered me coffee though. Will definitely come back again.Also, plenty of Pokémon there.

Doesnt feel like its in between two very busy roads. Very peaceful and cool place to stop, just walk around, and relax. Everything was very well kept. The fountain is awesome, especially at night with the lights.

This building needs and overhaul. Its exactly the same inside as it has been for years upon years. The lack of ventilation makes it suffocating. The building may be small, but it could be mighty. Update, renovate and revamp.

Beautiful as always. Great place to walk, but no restroom facilities open. Thats enough to take the park off our list until this is resolved.

I’m lucky to live near this park. It’s so beautiful and I spend my free time walking around it. Bonus- it has a lot of pokéstops

Four times around the park is one mile. The playground is nice for all ages and if you bring bread for the ducks youll be there friend. The park has a number of community wide events including but not limited to cops and cones, movies in the park, and yoga. A nice place for family pictures or ultimate Frisbee.

City crews are cleaning up trees today, but still a nice place to visit. Some of the roads are closed in the park.

How could this not be 5 stars? This place is lovely. And free. The park itself is gorgeous, the actual arboretum is top notch. The amount of time and care that seems to go into the place is crazy. They have 3 different sections of greenhouse you can check out from certain times, but they have a tropical section, a cold section and a regular hot house for MANY different plants. Gorgeous place, worth a walk in the park and 5 mins to browse and smell the flowers.

So relaxing - love going here to think and just enjoy a sunny day!

City park, lots of shade to sit, and large open grass to suntan or play. Downside is its incredibly noisy being next to Brady st and Harrison.

The flowers were beautiful. The park is pretty good sized, but flat and an easy and enjoyable walk. The greenhouse was crowded but pretty.

Wonderful to go for a run around this area!

Smaller than other botanical gardens Ive been to, but beautiful nonetheless! I wish they stayed open a bit later. Great place to walk around, relax and enjoy some gorgeous plants! I appreciated their vertical planter filled with mint and the window boxes with lettuce. Made me hungry!

Its so peaceful and beautiful here,Mom & I walk if its a nice day,if its bad weather,we may drive thrue the park,or just watch the ducks &geese on the pond,right in the middle of Davenport,its a lovely little oasis all Davenporters are in love with.Miss the old Sprinkler/cement pond for children the park had when I was a child,unless I drove right by it!lol!

Great place to take your family. Lovely fountain. Indoor garden/planetarium. Playground. Only thing is they could clean the sidewalks of duck poop a bit. That would be nice.
