Great place for hiking, rappelling, climbing, bouldering. No facilities or running water. Bring all you need with you and take what you being back out with you. When hiking be aware of climbers and rappelling activities. Before crossing under a cliff check to see if anyone is above.

This trailhead is not far from the interstate ( but far enough) on a narrow paved road. You can actually get to a nice look out at a .3 mile walk. Great if you are pressed for time or having a picnic. Enjoy the view guys!

Good place for a quick 2 mile hike if you stay on the loop! The South overlook provided the best view. It would be worth it to come back and explore more!

Very Scenic Overlook on the south end .a good moderate hike taking the loop trail. I will return again to investigate the cave area and lower end of the Gorge .only four star rating because lack of signage for the trails.

Pretty standard for trailheads but does have a parking lot and signage a short distance down the paved trail. No bathrooms. Loop is about 2 miles not including overlook spurs which dont add significant distance. Both overlooks and the loop can be done for less than 2.3 miles, and no significant inclines.

Amazing views from the main overlook. North overlook is a bit obscured. Trail to Windless Cave was nice, but cave is closed due to white nosed bat syndrome. Still a great day of hiking.

Overall, this is a very enjoyable hike with plenty to see as long as the weather is clear. The loop from Black Mountain is easy to navigate and all in all is around two miles. Review have the Overlook near the parking lot is breathtaking, however, there isnt really much to see beyond that on the loop.On the main trail, though, if you start at the Black Mountain Trailhead and head towards Brady Mountain, you mostly go downhill, and some parts of the trail are overgrown. Around two-and-a-half to three miles in, you can go to windless cave, which is a really cool small cave that is currently closed due to white nose syndrome for the local bats. That being said, behind back is a lot more difficult, both in terms of navigation and overall difficulty. The trail is not clearly marked and it is easy to get lost. Since the entire first half was downhill, the entire second half is uphill and is fairly strenuous. Definitely make sure you bring water, and food for energy.

It is beautiful scenery! We had a picnic on the South Bluff! Then we walked to the campsite. And decided to go on to the Windless Cave! Beauty all around. BUT, the walk back up was torture. I am a bit out of shape. Also, it says that the walk to Windless Cave is 1.2 miles and it is some much farther than that. Not for an armature! The beauty was amazing though!
