The Coronado Bridge is very cool. One way to describe this bridge is breath taking. The view is amazing. Its a beautiful bridge. I enjoyed the experience. I will be back again. I had a blast touring this area. Its so cool. I love the ocean. I love traveling. I loved the breeze when I opened my window. I know for a fact that I will be back again.

This bridge is fantastic but when it backs up with traffic it can be annoying. The bridge is 200 feet high and offers a beautiful view of the island. Anyone thats afraid of driving over this bridge should just do 70MPH to get off ofit faster.

The bridge itself like most people say is Beautiful and Amazing. What gets me is the number of people complaining that there is NO FOOD on the bridge. PEOPLE THIS IS A HIGHWAY, THERE IS NOT FOOD ON HIGHWAYS. Surface streets maybe but not a highway. The bridge is 2.1 miles long, if you cant do without food for 2 miles you have a problem. When did we as a society become so self centered and dumb? Thats right there are food stands every 500 feet on the San Diego Freeway. COMMON SENSE PEOPLE PLEASE.

If you want to see San Diego from different point of view take a ride on this engineering marvel. Coronado bridge is an exhilarating ride that you can take with no toll charges. It leads you to one of the best beaches around and also a very cute and charming island that offers many food and shopping options.

Today was our 1st time passing by this bridge and fortunately, I wasn’t driving when we were going to Coronado Beach cause I’m so afraid of the heights. But the view and the breeze you get while you are driving by is just unforgettable. The lanes are kind of narrow and for me, I felt that you’re gonna hit the car next to you. Beautiful bridge...a total masterpiece! This is a must try...

Really neat experience to drive across the bridge and see San Diego from that unique angle. I really enjoyed the short travel across the bridge, the traffic was not bad at all. Another aspect of the bridge is its visibility from everywhere in San Diego, I think it adds to the skyline and looks really neat.

This thread connecting Coronado and San Diego is remarkable, as well as historical. It offers breath-taking views of Downtown San Diego and the Naval Harbor. As for the cushion hoax, Im not too worked up about it. This bridge is pretty stable, so theres nothing to worry about. No bridge can have cushions underneath it in the case if it were to collapse. So disregard the whole myth about this easy-to-spot bridge.

People say the best things in life are free - this is certainly true when you cruise over the Coronado bridge.A heavenly feeling starts to come up when your convertible is breathing the air, your gaze flies across the ever-blue sky and your sense of distance and space gathers the vast amount of data when you look down the bridge. This construct of ingenuity couldnt be more impressive and resembles a short, but pleasant flight above San Diego. It doesnt matter if you want to impress your date or entertain family friends, a drive across this bridge will appeal to everyone.Connect this quick excursion with the nearby scenic drive and the gas used for this trip will, for the first time ever, be worth less than what you have experienced!

The Coronado Bridge did not exist when dad served in the Navy, everyone used the ferry service or drove down to Imperial Beach and came back up the strand. IMO, this bridge is very beautiful, but I also like it because it allows the Navy unimpeded access to the harbor. That means more to me than anything because I love our Navy.

Going into SD in the morning in a bigger vehicle? Avoid this bridge at all costs, if you MUST take it, use the inside lane if youre wishing to avoid a panic attack before you hit the busiest freeway in the city. If you want to use the outside lane, get prepared to notice only a foot or two of space between you and a 200 (approx. 60-70 so meters) drop. Sunglasses are a must, take it slowly and drink your coffee AFTER the bridge unless you enjoy clearing your stomach first thing at work.

Great view but be careful with the left lanes on both sides when merging. They alternate how many open lanes there are in each direction, and if you dont pay attention the center lane will direct you into the center divider. I was lucky I had a pocket of space to my right to avoid hitting the divider, but going 50-55mph can make it difficult to react in time when theres cars all around you.

Not for the faint of heart.View is great. Convenience is great. But the bridge itself is terrifying! Very high, with narrow lanes and heavy traffic. And the guard rails are only like two feet high! I am slightly uncomfortable with heights, but it’s not debilitating...not usually...but I seriously almost had a full on panic attack driving over this bridge. White knuckle the entire way. I was so freaked out that I took the long way back from Coronado, adding almost 30 minutes to my drive, and I was relieved to find that there was another way. Please San Diego, just add some higher guard rails or fencing or something so it doesn’t seem like a random blow-out or being side-swiped would send you careening over the edge.

The bridge serves its purpose. ...to get across something in this case water. Great views for passengers but Id strongly urge drivers to just focus on driving since there are only 2 (Coronado) 3 (San Diego) narrow lanes of traffic with no shoulders so no room for error. I dont trust the k rail side guards to keep from plunging into the water below which Im guessing is a few hundred feet from the highest point. Also Im sure theres no bike or walking path to deter what is already a problem ...jumpers which explain the suicide warning signs at the entry to the bridge. If anyone reading this is considering suicide please reach out and get help no matter what youre dealing with its better than going to hell. Message me in comments if you wanna talk to someone.
