I always really enjoy this place, whether Im walking for myself, or visiting the playground with my toddler. Its always so clean and pretty. Theres a big fountain to cool off in and on the other side ther is a nice shaded spot with a rose garden. My favorite place to get active in cookeville, 100% :)

This is a great place to walk while my daughter roller blades. The fountain is a big hit for the kids too. I feel safe here; there are rarely suspicious looking/acting folks.

Beautiful fun family friendly park! Very clean! A great nice sized splash pad for hot summer days and a very nice large safe playground for the children and a great paved sidewalk for walking and riding bikes. Can’t wait to return with my family. We returned this evening and watched the splash pad light up with beautiful lights! My kid loved it!

The grandsons and the girls had a ball it was fun watching them play in the water pad. And than go swing after. There was not many people and everyone was staying far enough apart

Dogwood park is highly decorated for Christmas. I enjoy seeing the huge Christmas tree, decorated poles, and beautiful Christmas wreaths. The sleigh maybe part of our Christmas photos. Great backdrop.

We like this place because its clean, its free, the kids can ride their scooters, bikes, and hover boards. Its a good place to meet friends, and cool off with all this hot weather.

First time at the movies in the park loved it loved how they did the social distance and inforse it they was watching and asked a woman to move she was in one of the rows that was cut off and was still able to enjoy are selfs

Great park in the middle of Cookeville. A good place to walk, or sit under a tree and enjoy a book. Theres a fountain area for kids when its hot and a playground area with plenty of things for them to do. A nice sized amphitheatre for concerts and Shakespeare in the Park in the Fall. It surrounds the Putnam County Library and the Cookeville Museum. Theres restroom facilities when the park is open and during events they serve food and drinks. In the spring and summer you will find a rose garden in full bloom with various varieties to enjoy. Even though the city is in motion around it, the park is a peaceful respite when you need a break from the rat race.

Place was great. We stopped while travelling (11 hr trip) with our grandkids and decided to stop to let them stretch their legs and play for a bit. Definitely great choice

Great park for my 1 year old walker and my 3 1/2 year old. Seemed like there wasnt a lot of parking but maybe we missed the lot.

A beautiful well maintained park with lots to do for everyone from the younger children on up to the elders. Walking paths are in great condition, the park is very clean and theres enough trash bins scattered throughout that you dont need to carry your trash or doggie poo bags for too long. I enjoy coming here a lot, however it does get a little crowded and rowdy in the summer months when the water gets turned on.

Every town should model their city park after this one! So clean and beautiful. A safe and clean enclosed playground for kids. A division for smaller kids and then older kids up to age 12. Then the fountain thats actually designed for kids to run through and beat the heat! Genius! A beautiful shaded seating area as well as plenty shade trees to picnic beneath. Fantastic job, Cookeville!

Gorgeous green space with some water fun for the while family!

Amazing place for families of all kinds to come and spend some time outdoors. A big state of the art playground, a fountain with multiple water features for kids to play in, paths for walking, biking, skating, fields for picnics and relaxing, amphitheater for proformaces, movies, music, concession stand and clean public bathrooms. Theres even a path through landscaped trees and bushes that was the original park where Ive seen elaborate proposals take place. Its located right in downtown Cookeville so its easy to access and directly behind the library. They have many activities throughout the year including right now with Park after Dark where they play family movies for free every Friday in June and sell concessions. So its one of the best parks in Cookeville but unlike the other great one, Cane Creek, this one is right downtown and walking distance to everything Cookeville has to offer including the history museum, historic train depot and museum and historic Cream City ice cream shop. Its even just a block away from the Rails and Trials bike and walking path that runs beside the train tracks from Cookeville to Algood.

Nice for kids ages 2-12. Plenty of seating for parents and a fountain to cool off in during the summer time. The playground has lots of good activities for kids as well.

Ive rated this place before, but I still recommend it 100%. Its easy to access, safe, the playground is fenced for those with more adventurous children, the bathrooms are clean, there is ample walking space, and they often do shows, plays, and such in the amphitheater. Its adjacent to the public library even. Its centralized enough be a great spot for lunch for locals.

Very well appointed playground, spray park, and amphitheatre. Concession stand (open during music events) and clean restrooms on premises. Great place to stop to let the kids run and soak on a nice day. My 8 yr old said it was the coolest park I ever went to. Lots of grass to enjoy. Super sunny and hot on our visit, though. Wish the pergolas had shade vines (oak hydrangeas?) Or really just more shade features in general. The dozen or so young trees are a good long term investment in that regard!

Very nice park with splash pad/fountain great for a hot summer day. Playground that is new with updated equipment for the babies to play on. Wonderful walking trail with beautiful rose garden. Summer movies after dark, concerts in the park, and Christmas lights that are beautiful during the holiday season. One of the best parks around.

A great place to take the entire family including pets. The city always does a great job decorating the way fountain especially during the Christmas season.

There is always something going on there...free concerts..free movies..city Christmas tree lighting...Dogwood is just an all around great place for the family!!

Very nice park! We brought the older grandkids and they enjoyed it a little too much! Beautiful landscaping and clean atmosphere! Would highly recommend for all ages! There was very neat, unusual playground equipment that you wouldnt find in other places!

Took our 9 month old here for their first park visit. Mainly to get him acclimated to it now. Visited at 5pm on a Friday. Surprised to find out how quiet it was for being in the middle of town. It wasnt very busy and it was calm enough at the playground that our 9mo enjoyed watching the others kids play.

We visit here every time we come to town my son loves this park.

We stopped to see the lights and it was AMAZING, and SO BEAUTIFUL. I highly recommend going..

Great place for kids and dogs, if trained and well behaved, of course. Events ranging from movie nights, concerts, and local events, its a great place to check out. Great water fountain too for the kids and adults to play in....for FREE!

Great park in the city center. The playground is great for all ages and the tree lighting was cool.

Wonderful place to take your children. It is super kid friendly. They have a padded play ground for the kids. Slides swings a marry go round. All padded so the kids dont get hurt when they fall. They even have a nice little park area with a couple small walking trails. A stage area. And best of all they have a place where the kids can get away when its hot outside. There are a bunch of holes in the concrete that shoots water out with a fountain in the middle. Your kids will love you for taking them!!!

My dog Julian LOVES this park. Love the fountains, especially on hot days. Dogs need to be on a leash here. There is a closed in playground to keep children safe. A big host to a lot of community events, so check out their website for all their upcoming events. There are benches, but no picnic tables.

I love this place when there isnt kids running up to my dog. When kids are around it makes my pup nervous. She is a puppy mill pup and is very skittish
