So much cool stuff! The standing exhibits and the rotating special exhibits are beautifully put together, fun to investigate and a plethora of information about the local community and its ties to the state and country at large. Worth visiting over and over, theres always more to uncover, and they sponsor some fun recurring events too.

Great little museum. Excellent exhibit honoring the 19th Amendment in particular.

This small building holds a large amount of information and artifacts regarding the birth of our city. There are also new exhibits as well, one of which has been a tribute to nurses in our area. It was very interesting and informative. Cookeville is greatly blessed with this museum!!

Great tour. There was a lot I didnt know about the history of our hometown.

Was a pretty neat place. Went on the I spy history hike and won the drawing. Something fun do to with your family.

Marvellous display of Cookeville from Indians to now!! Enjoyed by us and my 87 year old Dad who was visiting. Weve lived here over 30 years, but this was our first visit. Well come again!!!

Interesting small local museum.

My two friends and I attended the museum as a part of our US History class. When we walked in, the lady working walked us around and showed us all the museum had. When the tour turned the worst was when the lady defended the KKK. She pretty much said I know the KKK gets a bad reputation, but people forget it was not always about burning crosses. My friends and I just kind of stared at one another and did not know how to respond. The museum also kind of has an Anti-Union and Pro-Confederacy vibe.Not something you would expect to see in 2019. 10/10 would not recommend.

The timeline of events tells Cookeville and regional history. The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and truly make it a unique experience. The organization and exhibits are impressive. Make sure to walk down to the depot.

We went to Kidsville here. Low key fun. Quiet place my grandson and I strayed for quite a while. He loved dressing up like a police man and pretending to work at the animal shelter.

The museum is a wonderful place to see and experience history. They have wonderful exhibits of Putnam County and they also have a changing exhibit. The people there are very helpful and can answer any questions you may have.
