A treasure to The Short North. If I had a million dollars I would donate to this place so it could be restored completely. Great theater right in in our neighborhood!

This theater is small but mighty. I have seen about a dozen shows here and have been amazed and impressed by each show. They put on a nice mix of shows- well known to rarely seen. If you love local, you will want to check out this performance space.

I really loved the shop so much. The talent is amazing. The Rocky horror picture show was incredible.

The cast talent is exceptional - and the off stage leadership and crew ensure every drop of that talent shines. The shows here rival NYC off-Broadway.

Such a treasure to have a venue right in the Short North area to host amazing shows. Great neighborhood local feel with its size and lights strung up above, but the talent that shows up on this stage goes far beyond a local feel!Last nights Pippin was fabulous! The aerial portions were very cool. The production was very creative and the cast was phenomenal!The cute brick-walled bar side offers up some great drinks (which may be taken into the the theater; glory be!!) I had a Morning Glow (named after a song in the the play) It had tequila, oj and grenadine. It was quite good. Try taking in a show there soon.. Youll have a great time!

Love the variety of shows here! Only downside is that the bar/snacks are not available all the time. It would be nice to be able to at least buy a bottle of water during ALL shows. The cast are wonderful and staff are always kind and friendly!

We loved Rocky Horror. (Read more about parking.) This is a great venue in the old Garden Theater on High Street just south of 5th.Parking can be a problem. Uber or Lyft is a good solution. The Hubbard garage was full at 6pm on Thursday night. All parking within a mile of the theater is either by sticker or Parkmobile app and those parking spots have a 3 hour limit until 10pm. If you use Parkmobile at 7pm, the parking will be free at 10pm. We went to Zenos on 3rd until 7pm then parked on Neil, a half mile walk to the theater. The sidewalks on 5th are dangerous and not heel friendly.The bar next door is the house bar. The drinks are pricey, as expected but also small. Ask for a tall drink if you want it to last through act 1. They have a decent beer selection too.When you make your reservation, you will see seating at what looks like tiny tables next to the stage. Thats exactly what they are and you are almost a part of the performance. The rest is grandstand style at the back of the small room. Theres not a bad seat in the house.

A great venue, and an awesome show! The stage is set higher than the seats, so youre looking up at the actors and it provides a great perspective. West Side Story was amazing!

This gem of a theatre is not to be missed. Ever single production weve seen has rendered us, at a minimum, delightfully entertained, and, in the case of West Side Story, BLOWN AWAY. The choices across the board: cast, lighting, set, costume are spot on. This theatres quality of production is an amazing value. Highly recommend you check out their work and support this incredible performance art venue.

Always a delightful show! This was my second visit to the stage here in The Short North Arts District. The bar next to the theater was cozy with engaging staff.

We really enjoyed the show and it was great to visit a smaller theatre company. Would have been 5 stars but, oh my, was it cold in the theatre. Very cold air was blowing up through the floor.The quality of the production was great; just be sure to bring a good jacket and dont check it.

Short North Stage produces consistently excellent local theater. The talent in Columbus always amazes me. Tonights performance was a fund raiser and the actors volunteered their time.

Had a lovely time at their (I believe) monthly Cabaret. Planning to see a full performance in a couple of weeks. I also enjoyed their bar- friendly service and good drinks.

I always have a great time at Short North Stage. The last show I went to I had a problem with the tickets I bought and Jess sorted it out in no time. Very welcoming venue. High quality shows.There is a bar next to the lobby and you can bring your drink into the show. You will have a great time here!

Ive seen several productions at the Short North Stage, and they have all been great. The theatre is an older and smaller theatre (it was a burlesque theatre, at one time) and it has an intimate feel. There are no bad seats. They have a variety of productions each year, from plays to musicals, and from established hits to new material. Columbus is lucky to have this professional theatre

Saw Rocky Horror Picture Show on Thursday night, it was fantastic! Saw La Cage Aux Folles the next night. It was one of the best shows Ive ever seen. The two leads were absolutely amazing. I recommend that everyone must see it!!

Went to see BRING IT ON The Muscial performed by CCT and Eastmoor Academy Drama dept. Fun time had by all! I am excited for the next event at this location.

A diamond in the rough. They are still in the process of renovating this historic theater so its still a bit rough on the edges, but its WAY cool. Theres a hallway to an adjacent bar. Lovely architectural feature. Go to this theater so they can keep funding renovations!

Saw Rocky Horror in The Green Room, the black box stage off of the main house. Very cozy, perfect setting for such an off the wall musical. Cast was incredible, drinks a bit pricey, even though you could bring them into the theatre with you

Best version of Rocky Horror Ive ever seen!! It was so awesome! I loved Frankenfurter!His facial expressions were so on point and Nell and Magenta was GREAT!! LOVED LOVED LOVED this musical play!!!

Neat theater. The lighting was really good. I was impressed by the amount of accent lighting and also they control they had over them. The sound could have been better but also wasnt the worst I have had. Occasionally, people would sing entire lines before their mics came on. Also, the speakers are all high so it sounds like all the voices are coming from the rafters. The casting was excellent for Dreamgirls.

Awesome saw the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Great talent singing dancing acting. Really creative. Also has a bar onsite to have a cut beverages while enjoying a show.

Old theater that has been transformed into a great space for viewing intimate an well produced events. They offer a wide variety of productions an I enjoy to these shows.

Saw The Full Monty practice run before opening 03/31/16. This is a great venue. Very open and intimate. The staging of this play was exceptional. The acting and singing was enjoyable. Had drinks in Ethels prior to production. Very quaint and staff friendly

Its a good time! I didnt spend that much time there and I didnt get any drinks, but the comedians were decent and if not, they were so bad it was comical.

Assassins was excellent, creative staging and strong performances by the cast. The sound mix, inconsistent at the start of the play, and the portable air conditioners, not turned up high enough thru the first act, were the only flaws. Overall, Short North Stage delivered another great theatrical experience.

HAIR was an awesome show. Great performance all around. The theater was very cozy and everything from the acoustics to the lighting was well thought out.

Love this venue. Always something first rate. Fabulous people, up and coming.

So happy I invested in a season pass. I loved To ic Avenger The Musical and I cannot wait for Rocky Horror.

Great little venue for a small production. Saw Dreamgirls and it was phenomenal, the cast was top to bottom awesome. Cannot be the location for a show, with plenty of Donner spots around for before or after. Also has a bar inside that makes plenty of quality drinks to enjoy during shows

Amazing magic show last night!! If you ever get the chance to see Eric Tait, dont miss it!! Bartenders were very friendly and the atmosphere was quite cozy.

Such a unique place to see really fantastic shows in the Short North - and everyone there is just brimming with talent. Its a hidden gem in plain sight.

A venue of varying quality with a good bar attached to it. I was here for the Columbus Podcast Festival and had a wonderful time experiencing the stages and a number of acts and doing some drinking.

Very nice theater with a couple stages and a small bar connected. You can count on high quality stage productions there. Top notch acting talent seems to be attracted to their productions.
