Great to see other certified tour ambassadors who cannot only assist you with the event but also assist you with where to go and what to do around town which is always a plus. The Palace Theater is in a great location to wear if the weather permits you can take a stroll through downtown Columbus. Event parking is generally $10 and on Sunday on the street parking is free

First time visit. We went to see Magical Cirque Christmas. We all enjoyed the show. We sat in 210, 212, 214, 216 view was geat. There was no one in front of us so plenty of leg room (61). Parking was not to bad $10 bucks. The garage needs to see about getting a few extra pay stations. We parked in the garage behind the palace.

Saw Rhett & Link live in concert this month! Needless to say, it was the best experience of my life!!! Palace Theater was very easy to spot with several parking options nearby. Beautiful exterior and entryway. Even though the line extended all the way around 4 sides of the building, people were entered quickly and efficiently. Ushers were especially helpful with directing us where to go and finding our seats. The theater was cavernous with many good seats available. I was in a balcony and still had a great view of the stage. Sound and lights during the show were great. You wont be disappointed with Palaces service! Check out Rhett and Link on YouTube, just search Good Mythical Morning!

An amazing night seeing Nick Masons Saucerful of Secrets (Pink Floyd), my daughters first concert. A well-kept gem of a venue. Staff was pleasant. Was clean and eloquent. Drink prices were fair. Not a bad seat in this house. Sound was stellar. Parking beside in rear was $10(cheap as hell?!) And at the end, doors were opened to the street, my car a mere 20 yards away at best. Perfect experience from start to finish!

Beautiful venue for the production of Mamma Mia that we saw. Courteous and very helpful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. One caution about seating - the seats on the far edges of the main floor are located such that it is difficult to see the entire stage. Even a couple of seats in from the edges are much better.

They dont sell popcorn. The seats are close together and you dont get much leg room so when someone walks in front of you, you just have to stand up. But for a theater built in 1920s, the place is fantastic. There is not a bad seat in the house. If you get a chance to see an event there, do it. You wont be disappointed (unless the performers suck, but thats not the theaters fault :D )

Great place for seeing a show which does not require an orchestral accompaniment. Really, any seat in the first half of either the mezzanine or balcony is good, unless one needs to see facial expressions on performers faces. Staff is always friendly and helpful, as well!

Love this theater, we have seen several performances. The check in process is always smooth, the restrooms are large and kept very clean for all the people that come and go.The ushers are amazing and take the time to assist everyone. Seats could be a little bigger, to make it more comfortable, I know it is a theater and not my nice big couch but you pay a lot to attend and a little more comfort would be great.

First floor level has very comfortable seats, and the ushers were friendly. The security guards walking up and down the isles on patrol during the whole performance after they wanded everybody at the door was ridiculously distracting. Also, never able to get a beverage as the lines were so long people were still being seated 40 minutes into the performance

The Palace Theater is beautiful and a wonderful piece of history. The sound quality of our commedian was perfect. The entry point into the theater becomes overcrowded from people trying to buy tickets at the booth. Meanwhile those who already have tickets have to shove their way through that crowd. Also of note the seats are slightly tight and uncomfortable. Im an average height/weight size but if youre not or with someone who is over the average they will be crowding into your space. Overall The Palace Theater makes for a special night out despite the inconveniences.

I liked this place but at least one usher in particular needs to get a job somewhere else. She gave us a program and when we asked for another she was reluctant to give it to us. CMON , we paid 200 dollars to sit in the front row. You can give us 2 paper programs!!!!

This is a great place to see medium size shows. Ive seen comedy, movies, magic, and circus shows here. There really isnt a bad seat in the place, although the seats are pretty tightly packed and the aisle between rows is nonexistent, which I guess isnt that unusual for this type of place.

The theater is beautiful, acoustics are great. Every show Ive seen here has been wonderful and the various places Ive sat have all had good views of the stage. My complaint is the seats in the balcony. If youre over 57 you will be uncomfortable. If you are over 6 you will need to do some serious contortions to avoid kneeing the persons head in front of you. The main floor has perfect leg room. If youre tall and trying to save money, go for the back row of the balcony (U I think). It has extra space.

Its a old out dated theater if you have hip or knee issues I would recommend not going to this theater because there are a lot of steps to climb to get into the arena area unless you purchase floor seats. The Palace Theater located in Cleveland Ohio its far better than the one in Columbus. The seats are too close to each other if you are a large individual you will not be comfortable sitting in those little seats.

Im afraid the Cream tribute concert was a little disappointing. It was offspring of the original band: Ginger Bakers son, Jack Bruces son, and Eric Claptons nephew.  They did the old songs, but not that many because they broke into jam sessions for long periods of time. They are gifted musicians, but I went to hear the old songs, not watch them frolic with their guitars.  But it was a fun night out.

Very lovely venue. My major complaint is that the seats are not built for modern humans. I am above average height for a woman and my knees were touching the seats in front of me which made for a very long show. Every time Ive been here Ive been seated in the nosebleeds and even though its towards the top of the venue the view is still amazing. There truly isnt a bad seat in the house and I highly recommend a visit, just watch out for your knees!

Its a beautiful theater and I normally love it there but at last nights performance there was a door somewhere in the back of the theater that was creaking so loudly it was beyond distracting. We had floor seats towards the back and the door creaked periodically throughout the whole performance! It was ridiculous! Dont let people use it until it gets fixed! Common sense! I hope they get it fixed soon. It was totally unacceptable!

Just got home from another amazing show at the palace. The only reason I couldnt give five stars is with all the security inside the building they should consider more outside. My wife and I were met between the doors by a young lady that seed petrified asking if we were going to the garage but we parked in a lot on the other side. She explained that a pan handler followed her in the garage before the show and he was back out front on the way out. I told her I would walk her to the garage. When we exited the Palace the man screamed at us Hey hey and other language I wont repeat. We walked her in the opposite direction down the alley by the performers buses and he followed. We got to the garage and made sure she was around other people. But there needs to move security to make people comfortable.

Historical building with updated comfort of air conditioning. Beautiful space, lots of room, majority of staff was wonderful. Cons include: if youre a plus size person the seats are snug, theres no elevator and maybe its just me but with the carpet being on everything makes it hard to identify if you are on level ground or steps.

Older people should not go to this venue. We just saw Vince Gill in concert. The intimate venue made for a wonderful concert. The architecture and history make going to the Palace worthwhile. However this venue is not set up for older people. The isles are far too narrow for people with walkers and canes and also the bathrooms are in the basement. You have to go down flights of stairs to get to the bathrooms. I saw many older people struggling to get to the bathroom and then back up stairs again. Also for some reason the temperature was not regulated it was very very warm.

Staff was great about keeping the lines moving while entering, but immediately after the show there was a lot of bottle necking, and being stuck in relatively narrow hallways (narrow relative to the amount of people moving through) with no staff intervention. The facility itself is very nice and clean, but the theatre room was really cold during the show, to the extent that most patrons kept their winter gear on. Good experience overall, but the stand-still foot traffic afterwards felt like a fire hazard, and the auditorium/theatre temperature could have been warmer.

I did not have a good experience the last time I was at the Palace Theater. They didnt let people enter the theatre until ~15 min before the show was scheduled to start, so people were lined up down the block standing in the rain.Once the doors opened, it was a mad rush to be seated. No fun. The theater was extremely warm, there was an unscheduled 15 min break (I think because the lead performer was super hot, in a suit and under lots of lights). The lines to the restrooms and for water are so long, there isnt enough time during intermission. The worst part was getting out of the garage at the end of the show. We had one payment box with two long lines of people waiting to pay to get out of the garage. There needs to be more of those machines or if there are more, place signs on the street level saying where they are located. It was a long night and got home late. I lived the show (Jersey Boys) but wish I could have been more comfortable.

The sound system was impressive, no matter where the seat is. As far as i saw it, virtually all seats could have full view to stage. Even though it is pretty well kept, some areas do show its age, revealing its unique legacy as the Columbus city icon. Not much alternatives for parking, the garage next to it likely the best choice, its still reasonably priced for evening threater events. Tried buying tickets on site (to avoid any fees) was my worst experience, its box office opening hours were real short, easiest is to pay a bit extra to buy online -- amazingly, while its ticket office was closed and had a sign referring to the CAPA ticket office two blocks away, i checked and found tickets there were more expensive than online plus convenient fee.

Remodeled in 2018 the seats have more leg room and width! I had stopped attending shows at the palace years ago due to the size of the seating areas, but now at 64 and 300 lbs I fit comfortably. Staff was great and I think the usher to guest ratio is 1:1...Great acoustics, even when the show went unplugged acapella you could still hear perfectly in the back. The wonderfull thing about the palace is its intimacy, with its smaller size you can se great from every seat.
