I found this trail through the AllTrails app when I was searching for a trail to do a quick run. This was an incredible set of trails both at the river level and along the ridges. Unfortunately the only bear I saw was the one on the sign.

Super overlook of the river and then you walk right down to it. Ive only seen 0-4 other people on the trail when hiking early or later in the day. Lots of bird diversity including nesting (in the boxes provided) mountain bluebird, violet green swallows and tree swallows. Look for the cliff swallows nesting in a big colony on the cliff face opposite the park. Even has a bathroom (that could have been cleaner), doggie bags and fishing line recycling. Lots of flowers!

Very little traffic on a Thursday evening. Weather was beautiful. The trails were very easy to follow and gave you wonderful views of the river.

Pet friendly! Super fun trail to do which goes right down by the river. Has a really nice breeze by the river too so it’s not too hot! Bike trails are there also. Definitely worth checking out if you’re staying in cody!

The trail is well maintained, and there are benches to enjoy the beautiful views.

A very short trail outside Cody. You can enjoy a few nice views over the river but its covers a short distance.

Great area to explore. Dogs are welcomed. They have doggy bags. Garbages along the trail. Lots of benches to sit and take in all the magnificent beauty. Bathroom along the trail. Great for kids.
