Bring water it gets very hot. Considering I’m from NYC this was a unique experience for me which I found very fun. I hope you enjoy some of the pictures I took there :)

Stopped by here for authentic experience of an old town. Knowledgeable person selling tickets was super friendly and readily answered questions and offered information about the place. Numerous buildings with many original items from those early days, meaning late 1800s. Takes about an hour. With a visit if you are in the area. Small gift shop. Highly recommend.

Really fun, a bit more expensive than I anticipated, but the artifacts, staging and interpretation are well done. The buildings stay quite cool even on a blistering hot day-like when we were there. The roping area was fun for the kids, even though it was hot. The old time store was fascinating and sparked a lot of conversation.

All the buildings are actual historical cabins that were found in Wyoming and Montana. Jeremiah Johnston was reburied there and there is a story that goes along with that. Each building pretty much has a story to it. If you like Western history, this is the place to see.

We got there and it was closed. But the old man who was managing the place open up for us and we paid half the price. Probably 1/4 of the rooms were open but at the end he opened also the museum and it was amazing. Great Pisces from the fur rush, Indians and cowboys items. Very well preserved. It definitely worth a stop!Thank you for opening the gate for us.

It was neat to see someone had the vision to save the old buildings. To let you see what it was like back in the day. How small the inside of the building actually was for the family to live together. Its not like todays standard where everyone has their own room.

Crazy old building with lots of cool stuff. A nice peek into history from both the native perspective and the white mans perspective. I will say it was more on the history of trail towns over all. Great exhibit, would go again. Just know bathrooms are closed right now due to COVID so stop early if you gotta use em.

Great stop for a family. We all enjoyed it. (Kids ages 6-17) The lady at the shop was helpful and taught us how to use the lasso! The old town with its cabins, graveyard and artifacts was very fascinating. Told stories of both the settlers and the natives. It’s not a ton of walking; it’s all condensed and I believe it was handicapped accessible. At the time we visited during COVID19, the restrooms were closed, but it’s near several gas stations so just plan ahead.

Very well presented for viewing & information. Well worth the reasonable entry fee. You can browse quickly thru in about 30-45 minutes if limited on time, or easily take up to 3 hours to read about the History and other informative tidbits. The displays, for the most part, are period correct, and authentic. I saw several young children enjoying the Museum. They had roping dummies for them to play & sharpen their skills. My favorites were Butch Cassidy & the Hole in the Wall Gangs hideout, and the Saloon where they spent some time as well. There are even bullet holes in the door!! The largest building has an extremely old Canoe, along with other relics and photos, again great presentation!!! What a wonderful piece of Western History. Thank you Cody, Wyoming for your efforts to share and keep the old West alive for all to enjoy. Well Done!!!

Old Trail Town is located, in the Cody, Wyoming USA.This a kind of living museum and historical site of America where all stories represented by the old artifacts lying there.I like to see this place. To me to come to this place is looks like to go back to the Old Wild West. Adventuring by the time machine that cost you USD10 per person, Hahaha.A kind of story since the beginning of life on earth, the world is always divided by good guys and the bad guys, such stories that we can see and hear in this Old Trail Town.As long as theres life, they ill always be a war between Angels and Demons. As a historical site, this place is nice and has a lot of things to see. It might very hot there if you come on daylight and I believe there would be so cold at night. But it would be good if they curator of this site, make a kind of attraction called night at the Old Trail Town experiences.Listening to the music from the salon, turn the traditional lighting system on and festival of wearing cowboys and cowgirls suite.Reminding me of the Ghost Tour of Alamo and the OK Corral town.
