Totally unplayable due to water and mosquitoes worse than Ive ever seen before. This is the tee box at 12. Never seen this before. Normally one of my favorite course that provides many challenges. Gives a variety of shots, but right now do not go out there. In hoping by the weekend the water will evaporate so they can mow it , but I know that is a very optimistic view.

We had a group event at the pavilion at F. Burton Smith Park. The venue can easily fit 200 people comfortably! There are dozens of picnic tables under the covered area. It has a concrete stage built in to the covered section as well. None of the pavilion is under air, including the bathrooms, so during the deepest part of summer, it would probably be uncomfortable due to the temperature.

Ja

Easy in and out. Disc golf course is usually well-groomed and maintained but the latest rain showers for the last 2 months have flooded half the course and they have not mowed the course. There was a Porsche club meeting there and previously another car club meeting last month. Critter count was low did not see any snakes Gators just a bunch of Skeeters in the shade. Very close to I-95 approximately 2 miles west off of 520Update for February 2019.This course has an extra hole that is labeled 22. So there are actually 23 holes and the course is well-groomed well marked and some of the baskets are brand new. Water hazards are around the last part of the course or middle part and there are a mixture of long and short holes. Some of the seats have been replaced with new wood and some still need to be repaired or replaced. This is the best time to play this course since the wind is light and the temperature is perfect. Starting March through April you will probably experience high wind all the way to about 25 knots. Great parking area and Easy in and out off of 520.

Good course...fun! Shot a 12 over my first day; 22 hole course. Mixed up nicely. If you can shoot a disc straight its fun and challenging. Narrow through trees in several places. But wide shots can be found! Only 1 disc lost today out of 4 players. Try this course once a month.

This is a regional Park very near (but not on) the St. Johns river south of 520 West of I95. It has a large enclosed building, several open picnic pavilions, a playground, restrooms and spaces for tent camping. There are several ponds, but signs warn against swimming. Because of the proximity to the marshes, parents should watch small children carefully to avoid drowning risks or alligators. It was very pleasant on the sunny day we stopped there.

Stopped here for a restroom break and it was shortly after the hurricane. It was really flooded probably due to the proximity of the St Johns River would be my guess. Even with all that going on the park seemed like a really nice place looked well maintained even with the flooding so you know that it will only improve once they start sprucing it up if they havent already. Bathrooms were clean and didnt stink so thats a really big plus.

Frightening! We were walking toward the next golf disc basket near the park managers house, when their dog that was NOT behind the fence came charging after me from out of nowhere! My friend stepped inbetween the dog and me yelling at it! The dog owner tried telling him that the dog doesnt bite, as it charged again; after my friend! Thank goodness we didnt have a child with us. We were on the grass area where everyone walks to the basket!UPDATE: The situation was handled and the management assured me that the dog will be safely behind the fence. Awesome work and much appreciated! Its a beautiful area, but all should be mindful of your surroundings; especially if there are children present!

We stopped with a picnic lunch while travelling and found a peaceful place with running water, clean bathrooms and covered picnic tables. Off of 520 between 95 and 528 we felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, but this park had a huge stage with s substantial seating area so something pretty big must go on in this park that we are not aware of.

Went to play the disc golf course while visiting from out of town. The course is nice and well maintained except the tee and basket numbers are all off. Theres a few water hazard holes which were challenging but not impossible and the brush isnt too thick so finding an overthrown disc wasnt too hard. Overall not a bad course for beginner to intermediate players.

DONT SET YOUR BAG DOWN IN FIRE ANTS!! The ants are all around in the sandy hills. I still have ant bites all over my back. Drive to the back of the park. Find the plexi-glass park sign, take a pic of the overhead course map. Hole 1 is to the left of the sign. I had no problem navigating the course there are plenty of next hole markers painted white. I only had to pull up the pic of the course a few times and i did skip 7 & 8 because I couldnt quite figure it out and was in a hurry. 9 is right after 6. I also saw a few 4ft black snakes one was sunning on the pad so look out for snakes. And there are thousands of small floridian lizards/chameleons. Nice flat course. Some tight fun lies and walks through what seems like african jungle to this ohio native.
