Owner kicked us out of the store with 15 minutes left until the store closed?!? We had things in our hands to buy?My family with small kids left totally disappointed. They also followed us around the store like we were gonna steal something.When I asked about the time left before closing the owner said “I don’t work for you!”Unreal. Time was 6:45. Sign was clearly posted on the door 7:00.Side note my niece walked out with a hat she forgot she had. We walked back and hungit on the door.

ALVINS ISLAND IN COCO BEACH, ABSOLUTEY THE WORSE PLACE TO PURCHASE BEACH ITEMS. BOUGHT A METAL SHOVEL THAT BROKE WITHIN MINUTES. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIFIC THERE. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND SHOP AT A STORE THAT WILL OFFER AT LEAST AN EXCHANGE. STRONGLY ADVISE SHOPPING AT ANOTHER PLACE.

Bought a shirt from here, got it home and it had a 7 in. Hole in the sleeve. Took it back to the store to get a new one since it is a defective piece of merchandise, not wanting to return the shirt but expecting the store to give us a new one since they gave us a ripped shirt. Manager was very rude and was not being kind or understanding at all. Very disappointed with the way we were treated. I dont give anything away, I only sell. You shoud have checked it. Nothing I can do will not be shopping here again.

Shopped here while on vacation and we bought a umbrella for the beach and within 10 minutes it was flying up out of the sand then it broke the cashiers are very unfriendly and all sales are final! Next time I will go elsewhere I only went here because it was near my hotel and not being from cocoa beach I wanted to stay close by!

This was one of the least pleasing shopping experiences I’ve ever had. Due to the bad experience I had to come and write a review. Yes, the prices are amazing but there were multiple problems with the quality and customer service. As me and my family were shopping one of the girl workers was constantly staring us down. She also stood very close to us the whole time. As we moved around the store she would immediately go to the rack we previously touched to fix it. We had looked up the closing time online and realized that it was different than the times written on the door. They started to cut lights off in the store 15 minutes before closing. As we were checking out the manager or owner yelled, at another customer, saying “that’s it” and “you’re done” while also waving a clothes hanger in her face. The clothing also has crooked prints, holes and rips in them. I would honestly much rather go to another store with better customer service and better quality products!!

Been coming to Cocoa beach for over 20 years on vacation and always buy t-shirts and souvenirs from here as the prices are good. I needed an XL pink t-shirt but there were none on the folded tables. There was an adult male (50s) with a strong accent using the press to make t-shirts. Behind him was a stack of pink shirts. I asked him if they had anything printed on them. He responded with what does it matter? I said I need an XL pink shirt but there werent any out. He responded with everything is out!. Then repeated it. That was the end of my shopping. I did purchase a few other shirts I had already picked out and some key chains but decided to go elsewhere for the other shirts I needed. The young girl behind the counter was very friendly. She is why I gave 2 stars. Otherwise based on this trip it would be 1.

Alvin’s island is a fantastic store, my family stops by here every year, and we usually walk out with a bag or two of stuff. They have anything you could think of to enjoy the beach. Towels, bathing suits, boogie boards, goggles, and even sunscreen. You could come here and get everything you need to go to the beach. Alvin’s island is overall a fantastic store for all your beach needs.

The employees follow you around like your going to steal something! Would not recommend!

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Whoever the older gentleman is who follows his costumers around makes the entire experience the most uncomfortable experience I’ve EVER had. Not to mention he pulled out his phone to either record or take pictures of my MINOR children. He yelled a few times about god knows what. I would never send anyone this way. Save yourself and go two blocks down to the $8.99 store.

Nice store in Cocoa beach. Found a long sleeve t-shirt for 9.99. Very nice shirt.The staff member who assisted me at the dressing room was nice. Although she said she had to take the shirts off the hangers before I took them in to try on. Still can’t figure that one out. Reading some of the other reviews about the rude behavior by staff I would say that someone from corporate needs to do a surprise visit to the Cocoa beach store. Kind of like undercover boss. Think about it!!!

They cater to vacationers to come shop yet claim to NOT have a bathroom for paying customers. I spent $50 in Sarasota at Alvin’s and they were so sweet. Road trippers need restrooms and shopping in one trip stops. The sales clerk at Cocoa Beach actually told me I could WALK TO SUBWAY NEXT DOOR! First of all- it’s quite a walk for someone whose been driving for hours and it’s not even a subway! I will NEVER recommend your shopping at this location!

We were souvenir shopping, and stopped in this shop. When we walked in, our 5 year old picked up a toy that made noise, a hand drum. A male, in his mid to late 50’s with a strong accent very rudely said, “thank you, you can put that down now”. My husband turned around and said , “excuse me, I didn’t hear you.” The man repeated himself, “put it down now, or leave.” I hope that this place goes under and he is under it when it crumbles. As we walked out he said , “we ’t need customers like you in here anyway. We do fine without you”. If he doesn’t want the children playing (checking out the merchandise), don’t put it in the very front of the store and don’t put it to where little kids can reach. It’s a good thing I, or my husband don’t curse because he would have got an ear full!!!!

Just left all my purchases due to extreme disrespect and rudeness! The staff said You can look for yourself in response to a question. When I asked if the shirts I was looking at were mens, the girl asked the man at the desk and with a thick accent and rude tone he said Mens, womens, whatever! very hatefully. He was also talking to his staff very rudely. I love Alvins and always go there on vacation. Never again in Cocoa Beach!

There are plenty of better shops in town go somewhere else. I was watching the manager get my change from the cash register. As he was doing this he was yelling at a worker to go to the dressing room. At the same time I could see his eyes scanning the shop for shoplifters or something while barely pay attention to making change for me. He shorted me $5. I called him on it. He apologized and gave me the correct change. Not sure how many times this happens to others and dont catch it. Again their are plenty of trinket shops in Cocoa. Go elsewhere. Also their is a note on the counter that you get a free piece of taffy for a positive Google review.

The card machine broke and we waited for half an hour just to pay for our items. Normally, every other store would give you a discount for your trouble. We got nothing.

I like their prices and the people working there are so nice. This was on May 24. I went back to get my free box of taffy and the man was so rule that I even asked to speak to a manager. He said that he was the manager. This will be my last time in this store.

So this place is absolutely NOT African American friendly. The guy was rude coughing in my face several times and an older caucasian lady followed me around the store. I didnt like the feeling as I am from California. They arent very kind at all and for it to be 2019 its a shame.

No restroom. Owner was short with me when I asked if there was a restroom. Some of the shirts are priced well- buy one get one, etc, but the souvenirs and trinkets are way overpriced. $5 for a cheap magnet, and 9.99 for a coconut shell with some candle wax poured in it.
