Definitely a dive, but one that is iconic and that hosts a great variety of local and famous acts. Great to see a show in the tavern and the ballroom. This spot is great on weekends for brunch. My husband has played this venue many times, and I feel like it has become our second home. Excellent vintage shop downstairs, with an always accommodating and friendly staff. Records, clothes, books, and knick knacks galore. ️

Wonderful intimate venue that allows for small crowds, for some often very big names coming in just to play for fun. The only downside is there is no handicap accessibility to get in. Its okay if you can get up one step. But if you have a wheelchair and are wheelchair-bound theres no way unless someone picks you up over the front stoop. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The place reminds you of an old time bar. The ballroom seats 500, The Tavern seats a little over a hundred. Great historical site. Free parking all over the area including the building just down the street that is painted all crazy and wild! Parking in their parking lot next to the ballroom, parking out front, all for free.

If seeing music in your grade school auditorium, minus the nuns and rules with a sound upgrade sounds like fun... the beachland ballroom will be just about right to you! In the last decade or so I cant remember it ever costing more than 12$ this authentic venue in the old school waterloo neighborhood will impress! Solid bar good food

5 stars for a music venue. Brunch is something else. 1st; the biscuit pictured is a $10 meal, you do get a side with it, but it is a side in reality. Price pointsll to other menu items is really off. 2nd; the potatoes werent done. They were not really edible. 3rd; the Monte Cristo, while very big and filling seemed like a car crash of flavors. Like sweet french toast with Thanksgiving turkey leftovers. The sweet/savory balance was off. Otherwise the service and coffee were very good.

I was on the Tavern side. The service was fine, the food was good, the music truly sucked. A keyboardist with a repertoire of at least 5 chords, and a female vocalist that left me praying for auto tune. I stayed for 4 songs, and I dont really think I understood one word of the lyrics, and I swear it was the same depressing song over and over.

A cornerstone of the Waterloo Arts District. This is an excellent concert venue and bar that has been in the neighborhood for decades. The main ballroom holds the bigger shows and the tavern has a modest stage for smaller acts. The tavern is a great bar on its own and the food is very good. They serve brunch every Sunday morning. Do yourself a favor and attend a show at this classic venue.

Found an indie cultural space in Suburban Cleveland . It felt relaxed to see a concert in a venue on a human scale rather than a crowd crushed mega stadium. Funky bar had great service. I ordered a local, sour beer. The venue could not have been better for listening to music as long as you dont mind standing which you expect to do at punk concert anyway if you are not in the mosh pit. Great side lounge offering a smaller stage for the rest of the night.

Good price for tickets and theyve brought thru some of my favorite artists (DJS) recently. Just wish that the bass could reach the same level as the treble (if a DJ is playing and says something thru the mic the mic is 10x louder). Also I understand not wanting to have the sound system hit full force right from the get go but atleast have SOME sound coming from the front of the stage (not just the stacks on the sides until the headliner comes on). might change my review whenever I finally see a band i like play there. Overall though good times!

What can I say about the Beachland. I was a member of the first local band that ever played in The Tavern, before the ballroom was even open. March 2nd of 2000. And Ive been going to this place regularly ever since. Cant count the number of times Ive played on the two stages total. Cant count the number of shows Ive gone to, certainly. This is a staple of Cleveland rock and roll, and many other kinds of music for that matter. At this point, it wouldnt be Cleveland without The Beachland. Past and present staff, I love you all.

My husband and I traveled 45 minutes to watch a friend play in her band. There was a woman bartender wearing a costume and I could not see well, so thinking that it was going to be a fun comment, I told her. She looked at me, turned around and refused to serve me. I attempted to apologize and she refused to speak to me. Her behavior was completely unprofessional/immature in every way, and I saw her talking to other customers about my comment as well, drawing attention to me. Luckily there was another bartender there to apologize on her behalf and serve us ( me and my husband). We left because she made us feel extremely uncomfortable. Will not go back... too bad, because it was a very cool venue minus that unprofessional incident.
