Chapel-By-The-Sea continues to be a vibrant and thriving Christian community, even during the Covid-19 pandemic. It welcomes all, including year-round residents, snowbirds, and tourists alike. While complying with social distancing, mask and other CDC guidelines to minimize the risk of virus spread during the pandemic, it has been innovative and creative in using social media to bridge the gap between in-person worship and on-line worship. It has similarly availed itself of available technology to continue its excellent adult learning offerings online. Its lovely music programs have been modified to follow health guidelines during the pandemic and continues to provide live music. Pastor Blevins sermons are always engaging, well-spoken, reflect Gods love, and address the challenges confronting our daily lives. The church does not promote any political party, so it doesnt matter what your political orientation may be. All who seek God, have found Him, or are simply curious, are made to feel welcome here. It is energetic, but laid back to fit a diverse community. I recommend it without reservation.

Since the first day I walked into the Chapel seeking counseling, I have felt the warmth, the acceptance and the joy. I joined the choir, activities and the Board. My church family has comforted me during difficult times. I encourage anyone to visit and join any of the many groups that make our church so special.

Nice place i hear would like to come

My husband and I planned our wedding ceremony with them. They were very unorganized. They never updated my information and I had told them multiple times about my changes. They finally updated the information at the wedding rehearsal but still messed up the ceremony. The lady directing the wedding was very rude and played on her phone while directing the wedding party out. The sound guy didn’t play our recessional song because he was no where to be found. He also didn’t understand how to fade the music when some of the songs were long. The ceremony was long and had extra parts that I didn’t know about. The church was pretty for pictures, but We didn’t have a great experience.

Very nice church with choir and organ. The pastor is very good. A nice sermon told in a pleasant modern manner.

Not good. They are FUNKY People. Think they better then you.. Really discriminate against others.

I love the location and can go ponder on the beach, the Clearwater pool across the street or relax in the library ! All in walking distance!

Just a beautiful Easter service and sermon from Dr. Rhonda Blevins! Uplifting and loving. First time we have been to the church as visiting from Michigan. The choir’s hymns were amazing!

Great service and good community feel

I am a member and have been for awhile now as the friendliness of the people there are very unique. It is actually on Clearwater Beach and the only one and up until recently when our Minister Rev. Herb Freitag retired that our Church received a real Blessing when our new Pastor Dr. Rhonda Blevins found her way to us. The Church is a member of International Council of Community Churches from around the World. We are also blessed with a GREAT CHOIR under the direction of Dr. Marilyn Michaels they are really terrific. So I invite you to come by any Sunday and hear the word of the Lord. My daughter and boyfriend and I highly enjoyed the Easter service this morning. We live in Boone NC and needed a church for today, first time we have ever been here. We felt very welcome and everyone was very nice!
