A trail leads from my house to the parking lot. I love this park. Usually not super packed, nice walking trails. Very very well maintained. No amenities, so if you gotta go find a tree. Tons of beautiful wildlife to observe. Fishing isnt red hot but there are a couple few nice bass and other fish in there. I catch and release only.

There sure is a nice trail at Kapok Park. The trail is very wide and it looks like it went under a very nice updating; the wood there is brand new looking and the trails are very well tended to. From walking to riding your bike or walking your dog this place is fantastic. There are a lot of gators around so make sure you are watching for them. There are also a lot of turtles that love to get fed in the main lake.

A very nice park for wildlife observation and walking. The lake has been carefully managed and has a wide variety of flora and fauna that are a comfortably viewable from a well constructed boardwalk. The wildlife is very tame and on my visit I was able to closely observe many turtles, a four foot alligator, as well as an Anhinga, some Gallinule, and a pair of limpkins! A real hidden slice of creation in the middle of the manmade world!

Hidden beauty crouching bunny. Its so easy to pass this by and thank God for that for this is truly one of the gems in state and county park systems. Possessing remarkably large Southern Live Oaks and lots of small to medium bodies of water strung together by boardwalk and wide clear pathways. I find all of our parks are well maintained but this one looked so clean it was as if in a photoshoot. My visiting family wanted to see alligators, fish and turtles, checked that right off the list.

This is a fabulous park that has trails that are attached that extend roughly 13 miles. I believe they start over on Belcher Road at the Long Center and terminate in downtown Safety Harbor. The park is always well maintained and there are a variety of activities to participate in. Jogging, walking, bike riding, baseball, frisbee and much more. Too much to discuss in a brief explanation of the area. Come and enjoy for yourself.

So clean! In actuality this may be the least garbage that we have seen at a park, entrance fee or not (this does not have an entry fee). This is one Park of several that are linked together via bicycle path. It has nice boardwalks, a nice circular path that allows to easily enjoy the whole, and a large number of nearly separate large areas to sit at and enjoy the shade of many oak trees. The paths are not shaded at nearly every point, so be aware of that.Very well taken care of park.
