Ok. So, this park is really nice. But, I gave it 2 stars because even though they have a large dog park there, there are still a lot of unleashed dogs running around right near the childrens play area and walkway. I actually had a positive experience with the animal control of Citrus heights yesterday on a positive note.

Very nice family park. Fully lighted ball fields, soccer fields, sand lot and structure, picnic area, walking paths, places to sit and watch, large and small dog play areas. Friendly people, kids, dogs in abundance. Well maintained. Plenty of parking. A very nice place to visit and spend some time, too.

I go there every day. Most dogs are very well behaved. Once and a while one or two dogs are aggressive but overall most dogs are friendly, owners too. They close Thursday from 6 to 10 am but most of the time its open because they clean super fast.

This specific dog park has a nice vibe to it, you do the usual double gate routine and your dogs are off to a personal mashup of nice pups for your pups to socialize with.Theres a separated part between the big pups and the little pups ofcourse for good measures. But other then that open safe free area for all sized pups too enjoy

Baseball fields. Great dog park. There is a nice playground for kids. A BBQ and a gazebo for picnics. There are bathrooms and a large parking lot.

I just love it, not crowded but still few friends for my dogs to socialize with

I love c- bar park. Lots of shade and chairs to sit. The only thing that upsets me is people not picking up there dogs poop and bringing dogs in that are not spade or neauter. Other then that its a great place to bring your dog.

One of the best dog parks in the area. There are separate big and small dog park sections. The park provides your pups with plenty of drinking buckets and stations and has baby pools for your furry ones to cool off in as well. They even provide bags for patrons to clean up after you 4 legged friends. This is my go to dog park. Even the humans are friendly.

This is the best dog park in this area, it had little pools so the pups can cool down on each side and tons of space for them just to run their little hearts out!

Big open space for dogs to run around. And lots of shade and places to sit for the humans. It usually isnt too crowded mid morning and theres plenty of free parking.

This is for the small dog park only. Much improved since I first started coming here a few years back. Benches, pooch water dishes, grass, adequate shade in the summer.

Nice dog park with a small and large dog area. The park has a baseball field and restroom. The park also has picnic areas and plenty of parking spaces.

I love the park and Charly too, we both exercise and he has more friends.

My dog and I went here with a friend and we just walked the fence line my dog hasnt been socialized very much and I just wanted him to get used to it before taking him inside. People there seemed very open and understanding to the situation. And were more than happy t ok great my dog through the fence and allow their dogs to do the same. Plenty of room to run around and lot of people who seemed to be friendly owners. There was a hose area and pool for dogs to cool off. Not much shade area within the fenced in part. Also I think maybe it c ou old have been nice if there was maybe a separate area for small dogs and big dogs. But otherwise it seemed to be a fun friendly community dog park. And next time we go we will definitely go inside. Now that my dog is all up to date on all his vaccines.

Great spacious dog park, with a separate enclosed area for little dogs. Pleanty of space for them to run and play. Most people are friendly with well behaved dogs for your pup to socialize with.

This is a lovely dog park! I love that they have large and small dog enclosures. Very clean, they have shaded seating areas and trees, plants and kiddie pools for the dogs! Will definitely be back!

Best dog park in the area. Always a lot of happy & cute dogs, plenty of space, clean (for a dog park), & all fenced in with separate area for big dogs vs small dogs. We go a few times a week now.

This is a great baseball park! Nice fields and good baseball park food. They have bathrooms but they could use some updating. They even have a playground for the kids who arent playing a sport. I just like to come here and walk around.

Lucy & I love our evenings at the puppy park. Everyone is so friendly & the dogs all seem to get along. This park can be a little scary when it gets dark. They really could have more lighting out there but all in all I really enjoy this park. The walking path, baseball fields & the puppy park gets my Chiweenie plenty of exercise.

Huge park with different options, like playground, baseball fields, open areas to play catch, soccer, trail that runs around the park, picnic benches and large, covered picnic bench area, big and small dog parks, huge parking lots, friendly squirrels.

Baseball, soccer, dog park, kids play ground, picnic area, restrooms and snack bar (open during baseball games) and a nice trail/track to walk around. Pretty awesome park! Could use better play ground. Convenient little park!

Its a very nice dog park. Its big with lots of trees. There is always plenty of dogs and people to socialize with. There is also a separate area for smaller dogs.

Great park to take the family and have some fun. There is a good loop for walking, playground near bathrooms, baseball fields, a dog park. I only wish there was a shade over the playground structure because it gets too hot in the summer.

Great dog park for med to large dogs. Small dog side is a bit on the small side. It is home to Sunrise Little League. One small playground. Good amount of shade trees. Clean restrooms have been open when needed.

I personally love this park! Its a good amount off space to come and let your dog play with other dogs and get some exercise. Some of the people I regularly see here are very nice, I enjoy spending most of my week here with my dog.

They cater to baseball and not so much soccer. Soccer field is in back left corner. Watch out for the mud pit while walking there. Could use more parking.

Clean and stocked with tennis balls and water buckets for the dogs. Friendly people. If youre looking for a good bet on a park to visit regularly with your dog, there are few places better.

Small dog side could be a bit bigger, however the wonderful doggos and their parents make it a blast!

Went to watch our grandsons play baseball and this outdoor park (including baseball park) was very nice. It reminded me of my childhood days playing baseball. It was clean, snackbar was well operated and timely with our order (which is important when you have littleones). Parking was a bit tight but go figure when your in baseball season... Its part of the experience. With that said i would change a thing and we look forward to the next game.

Lots of dogs bring their humans here. Its a great park with a little dog side to go along with the big dog side. Even the humans behave themselves (for the most part). Highly recommended.

Huge park with friendly people and (for the most part) well behaved happy dogs. Very clean with plenty of water bowls, kiddie pools, benches, trees, and poop bags for clean up. A smaller park directly adjacent is separated for smaller dogs if preferred. There is a nice walking path at stretches the entire length of the property which is full of trees and squirrels. My dogs favorite place to run! The people that frequent this dog park really make the environment a comfortable, respectful, and fun place to enjoy time with your dog.

Theres a dog park, baseball diamonds, play structures, and lots of grass for kids to run around. A great park.

Spacious dog park with ample room to frolick with other friendly dogs, well attended and nicely appointed with lots of trees and watering stations. Area seems safe and people are friendly. One of the better dog parks in Sacramento area. The ground is sandy and sloping, not as much grass. It had rained earlier in the day but the ground was not at all muddy. Separate areas for large and small dogs. Lots of trees and ample seating. Avoid the white chairs.

I have gone here several times to watch my nephews play baseball. They usually have the concession stand open when games are being played. The park is well maintained and usually very clean. I would recommend this park to any youth baseball team.

Shady Oaks is an awesome disc golf park!

I love this park and I try to make it everyday with my puppy. Its huge and theres free doggy bags and a side park for small dogs.Everyone is nice for the most part tooI just let my dog exercise himself for the most part

I love this park! The dogs are all great and every human I have met, Has also been great. There are a few entitled old timers at the park who would like to control everything. Just dont pay attention to them.

Dog park is wide and lots of room to play on. They have water faucet, pale and doggie pools to play on.

Very rude dog owners who dont watchout for their dogs. Keep them off the leash most of the times I have been there!Also untrained unruly nasty agro dogs off the leash. Too bad because the rest of the ball fields are nice! Just bad owners! Watch your dog carefully if you decide to bring your dog to that park!

Safe and clean park

The people there are mostly rude and self-centered and dont pay attention to their pet. The dogs for the most part are un-trained and out of control. People listen up this is a public space please dont come in and act like you own the park, if your dog cant handle the pressure of socializing with other dogs yet then walk them on a leash on a trail somewhere safe and alone, then TRAIN them and come back when their ready. If you yourself cannot handle the pressure of socializing with other humans then do not come to the dog park at all!! You know who you are.

Lots space here for a family to come and have a good time. It gets very packed during little league baseball games but the park has seen improvements over the years. The one thing I miss that the park used to have a better part of 20 years ago was an R/C car racing track. It has since been replaced with a dog park.In terms of things to do there are multiple baseball diamonds, playgrounds, and picnic tables. There is also an informative nature walk of sorts around the perimeter of the park.

My dog was attacked at this dog park by a man and his dog. Another dog attacked my dog and the owner pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot my dog. All of this occurred while his dog was biting mine and right in front of my 3 and 7 year old daughter. The owner hit my dog on his head multiple times with his gun. Once his dog finally let go of my dogs head he discovered that his dog had no bites. The police were called but come to find out no charges were brought and animal control did not even send me the paperwork to file a citizens arrest because the man claimed he feared for his life even though his dog wasnt even bit. I dont understand why this dog park has such good reviews because since this had occurred i have talked to a lot of people who have reported to me that dogs frequently get attacked at this dog park. Do not bring your dogs here. Its horrible how people can get away with such animal cruelty .I even have vet records proving what occurred but the citrus heights police will not do anything and although I am provided a lawyer through my job he is scared to take this case due to the man having a gun. Avoid all the trauma that me and my children have had to experience and just dont bring your dogs to this dog park.

Our dogs really liked this park, lots of space to run around. The only issue we seemed to have is that there were a few aggressive dogs that kept following ours around. Other than that the park was really nice (:
