We had brunch there today. Our first time there. Food and service were outstanding. We had made reservations and they had our table ready for us and were as prompt and friendly as it gets. The Eggs Benedict and Biscuits & Gravy were fantastic. The doors were open so sitting next to the sidewalk was great. We will be back.

We had a great time at The Ludlow Garage checking out the band 999! We got there early enough to have dinner upstairs before we went downstairs to the concert. The food was excellent, we both fully enjoyed our meals. The waitstaff was great also, had our drinks filled when we needed it and it didnt take long for our meals to come to our table. The concert was also great! 999 put on an excellent show and the bartenders served drinks in a timely manner. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and cant wait to go back in the future!

I have dined here previously before the kitchen and menu received an overhaul. In the past I was not a fan of the food and wouldve given them two stars max...but boy how times have changed!First and foremost our waitress was beyond friendly, attentive, knowledgeable of the menu, and helpful. My guest started off with a strawberry vodka lemonade. It was divine with freshly pureed strawberries and fresh candied basil around the rim. AMAZING.I had their bleu cheese burger with bacon and my guest had their pork chop plate. The burger was delicious although it had a bit too much bleu cheese. My guest thoroughly enjoyed the pork chop plate. I will definitely return.

Personally I love this cozy venue. Good sound for bands, piano players, and story tellers. Restaurant upstairs is delicious, great selection of beer, could use more wine. Burgers are perfect, fries are awesome (could use more). Go check out their website and find a show. Parking is a horrible, but the venue is worth it.

I tried the Garage Beer. It was good.I did not go for a show here, but I did take a peak downstairs at the venue and it looks pretty awesome. The bar upstairs was cool and I liked the overall layout. I bet on a warm day its great with the garage doors open.I was told stories about the bands who used to play here back in the day. Maybe Bob Dylan, even? But dont quote me on that.

Been there three times. Absolutely wonderful venue, and they get some great artists. Saw Peter Noones (Herman of Hermans Hermits) Christmas show there last night. Front-row center. Fantastically entertaining. Among the best shows Ive ever seen, in fact. (and Ive been to hundreds in my life). High points? The entire show was a high point. Great songs, very funny, engaging banter between the tunes. He actually shook my hand while walking around in the audience (and again at the end of the show). Charming man, great singer, great band, very fun show. Weve got his live CD in the car right now, and it wont be leaving the player any time soon.I hope you read this, Peter. Youre a gift to the world.

It pains me to rate this place so low, it was a good concert and the staff is spot on. The problem comes in seating. The rise and run of the seating is a bit off. The seating is not offset, so you look directly at the person in front of you. Section 2 feels like an afterthought; even the artist said he would forget we were there, as the room set to play to Section 1. I believe there are around 10 or 12 rows in Section 2; the first 4 rows are on the same level; the next 4 are on the same level. So if you are not in the first row of each of those 4 rows, you cant see anything but the person in front of you. It didnt have to be that way, they could have been more mindful of the rise and offset the seating.I would go back, but I would definitely sit in Section 1 and be mindful of the rows that are on the same plain.

Ludlow Garage is an intimate place to see a band. Thats pretty much where the charm ends. Its in a basement, its pretty hot, and the seating is old airplane coach seats. Review №47

I have been to many, many concerts over the years, and my all time favorites are the concert I saw last night at the Ludlow Garage -- Tyler Hilton -- and Ed Sheeran in Indianapolis. A singer/songwriter playing a guitar. No gimmicks, just a great artist who clearly loves making music. This was my first Tyler Hilton show, and it certainly wont be the last. Tyler was great about playing the songs his audience wanted to hear, and spent time with everyone post show. This was my daughters second concert ever (the first being Janet Jackson), and the first where she could meet the artist (Tyler was so wonderful with her) and appreciate music in a more intimate setting. This was the first concert at the Ludlow Garage since they renovated, and unfortunately, I think with the restaurant not being open and so many shows being rescheduled prior to Tyler Hiltons concert that this contributed to his show not being sold out. I look forward to seeing Tyler Hilton at the Ludlow Garage again when the renovations are complete!

Hard to believe it was my first visit to the place. The surrounding area was neat with a variety of restaurants, shops and a movie theater on ludlow street. We ate at ludlow garage. It was a bar and grill style with 2 small rooms. Menu had a small variety of sandwiches, flatbread, salads, and a few entrees. There was a full bar and a decent variety of beer and wine. Food was good and server was very good. The concert venue was oddly configured but cozy. The sound was excellent considering the odd configuration. And considering 50 years of the site and the historical significance due to some of the premier artists getting a career boost at their start at the place, it is a place rock fans need to visit at least once. The band we saw was Orleans. Wildly popular for a brief period in the 70s, they are forging ahead in intimate settings. The band was very good. Knowing their place in the music world, they mixed the handful of hits they had with album tracks and more recent recordings. The 90 minute show was well received by the crowd. The one disappointment was the absence of john hall, founding member and guitarist, who had taken a leave.

I saw Dweezil Zappa here on its opening night and its really shaping up to be a pretty sweet venue. From where I sat the acoustics were pretty great, and the seating made the concert a really comfortable experience. One issue though is that the stage has two fronts, with two audiences facing purpendicular to each other at the stage. The odd setup seemed to cause a bit of trouble for everyone to perform a good show for both sides, but they seemed to make sure things worked out. Overall good venue but the seating setup could be cause for concern.

Saw The Rippingtons on Nov 15 and couldn’t have been happier with this venue! The crowd, the atmosphere, the audio, and of course The Rippingtons were above expectations! The seating area is “L” shaped to the stage, with the stage at the bottom of the “L” (we sat House Left/Stage Right), our seats were cushioned & rose as the rows extended the back of the house. I would recommend this section, but I must warn you, the rows tend to sway as others in the row tap feet & engage in the music... I personally did enjoy this, but may annoy others. Even though we didn’t do this, I also recommend taking advantage of the upstairs restaurant/bar before the performance. We’re looking forward to many more visits to Ludlow Garage!

Summary - Id come back here for just a night of drinks and/or a show, but Id suggest avoiding all-ages events here if youve got kiddos. I went for the WizardFest, and this honestly wasnt the best venue for it. The event was in the basement and there was a good amount of room for dancing, but the other setup was disappointing - a small table as Diagon Alley, cardboard cutouts in the corner for photos, and thats about it. Perpetually long line for drinks at the downstairs bar. Im surprised it was marked as all-ages because it was dark and loud down there. All that said, the rest of the experience here was good. Themed drinks were fun, staff was very friendly and helpful, and it was easy to grab a table when we needed a break.
