Although they are closed, they provided a very sound foundation for allstar cheerleading for my daughter. The owner is very passionate about cheerleading.

I was on this team from April of 2012 through January of 2013, my mother paid up to $5000 in fees for me AND my sister to be on this team, and unfortunately, my membership of this organization, as well as, the money I invested into this organization was not appreciated, nor did I feel my presence was welcomed by my teammates and coaches. The head female coach, Coach LaShawn, in fact, was a prime example of what uplifting young black girls does and should NOT look like and she set a horrible example for the girls on her team as well. I came to the organization a novice at being an athlete, let alone an allstar cheerleader, and an extremely timid 12 year old. The experience I had at CXA was absolutely unacceptable under ALL circumstances. There were times that because of my lacking athletic ability and intraverted tendencies, as a result of not feeling welcomed by my teammates as well as the coach, I was constantly mocked and my intelligence undermined by the girls on my team who had no problem in doing so because Coach LaShawn had done the same thing to me in front of them on multiple occasions. By this being a black owned cheerleading organization built on the foundation to build team leadership and sportsmanship in young black girls, it is unfortunate that the reality is the complete opposite. So parents, if you are looking for a safe environment for your daughters to become involved in sports, gain a discipline, and develope relationships with genuinly good people, do your daughters a favor by not bringing them to Chicago Xplosion Allstars located 901 E. 95th Street Chicago Illinois.
