I have been a long time fan of porch light. They were really outgrowing their prior space and wow the Ruth Page is such a great improvement. It is a rather wide space but it is theirs and I have seen two shows so far and they have top notch designers. The cast is made up of season pros to just out of college. What a great place to see Chicagos best musical theatre talent. They have valet and restaurants close by.

Watched Sunset Boulevard here with the family and had a very enjoyable experience. Cozier than the Goodman, with comparable production quality. It mightve been our choice of play but definitely attracted an older crowd

Saw Sunset Boulevard here. I kept wondering why the stage was angled making it impossible to see the show even though we were seated in the 2nd row, left side. The show was great however!!!

We enjoyed a very entertaining production of A Chorus Line. Well staged with a decent cast. This intimate theater is enjoyable but could use a slightly better sound system. Nonetheless, it was an enjoyable evening.

We saw the most amazing production of A Chorus Line at Porchlight! They have a great reputation for consistently recreating American musicals for Chicago! Well done Porchlight!

Our group enjoyed a Porchlight Music Theatre musical at the Ruth Page art center. The showing of Merrily We Roll Along was well done. The multimedia set provided a means to explain this complex musical. The venue is small and intimate. It will take climbing stairs to enter the theater. The seats are fold up style found at older movie theaters. The seats in our row were loose and rocked when others moved. In general, this is a great company in a smaller theater setting.

A small theater with about 10 rows of seat in the main section. Great for a up close experience. I recently saw a musical there. It is so much better than being in a large theater. You see better and catch more details.

You will have an excellent time here. Despite its small to mid size, they go all out on the stage. Its a complete, concert hall size stage, with an excellent production crew, and the seating is intimate as you can be. They could have opted for a smaller stage and more seats to sell, but they went the other way around, with limited seating but a grandiose, high quality experience. Excellent.

I had a great evening of theater here. The show was world class and I enjoyed my experience all around. The theater itself is easy to find on Dearborn street in Chicagos Gold Coast. Its well marked. I took the El, so I dont know what the parking situation is, but I do know that there are parking lots up the street. The lobby is bright and the staff is friendly. Youll need to go upstairs or downstairs from the lobby for the restroom facilities though.

This is a nice and cute theatre! We went to see Billy Elliott and sat in the balcony stage left. The seats were so comfy and spacious! I might go to more plays here just because it wasnt cramped. Its a smaller venue so any seat in the house is a good one. There is a bar on balcony that may get in the way of your view occasionally so seats on the main floor might be nicer.

I enjoyed the play! The theatre needs some work it was 90 degrees outside and 85 inside. Just before intermission someone had a fall and we were asked to stay seated so we had no opportunity to cool off in the lobby arwa, but the staff was pleasant and apologetic. I would most diffinelty return!.

Some great Chicago theatre, but the venue is not meant for what they do and thier presence in the Page is damaging to the dance community who relies on the space to flourish and grow.
